[Network Error] S Voice by Galaxy S4 port to S3 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anybody have a fix to this issue??
All the time (same with WiFi or Data Mobile) my S Voice updated from the leaked apk by S4 have this message: "No network connection. Connect to networks and try again" ..A few days ago it worked perfectly, but a two days ago it only appears.

Anybody with the issue too?

I do.. I think that samsung blocked the use of the new svoice on different devices..
It's a shame because it was really awesome

Same thing happened when the S3 come out but someone found a fix to let it work :/

Same as mine try so many time yet still the same old thing , " No Network Connection , Please try again!". Guess we r not fated to use that s4 svoice on our s3 .
S3 GT-I9300.....

in build prop change i9300 to i9500.
It should probably work now.

Samsung shut down the S4 voice servers when they found out people were doing this. I suppose they will fire them back up when they release the S4.

Go to Application manager and uninstall S-Voice. your galaxy s3 automatic install factory S-Voice.and than you can use your S-Voice.::good:

I went to App Info, did "Uninstall Updates". This puts Svoice back to the version you had before the s4 version installed. Works fine for me now.

I don't agree to you bro because iam having the same problem on my grand with s voice of s3 installed.

Anybody have any luck ever getting this S-Voice for the S4 working? I'm trying to run it on an S3 and I keep getting the No Network error.

I recently installed the Synergy rom r443 and it works awesomely, S.Voice was working as well,
I am assuming that the S Voice on this rom was S4, but I could be wrong,
I did try to install an update, so not sure I messed it up or it was just coinciding with Samsung pulling the plug,
I uninstall update, and what I gets is S-voice responding but without voice. So totally uninstalled it, not sure how
to get up and running again. any thoughts would greatly appreciated

put the s-voice.apk file in device>system>app and change permissions. worked for me even on leaked 4.2.1. you got a 4.2.2 leak as well. so you guys can get s4 voice by default with no problems!

[Q] GS3 apps - S voice not working

I recently bought Galaxy S III and installed many applications. S voice isn't working right thou, but I managed to create a website using gs3 for only 2 hours!!
This phone is so fast that everything happens for seconds! if you have gs3 go to puzl. com and check out what you can do!
But do you know how make S voice work? Even when I'm connected to Wi-Fi or using my mobile data it says Connection Error?

My issue is similar, not the connection error. Whenever I speak a command, it types it out correctly and then does nothing. Any ideas on how to fix?

I think it only does nothing when the app isn't compatible. ie winamp works fine but playerpro doesn't.
other than that it works fine for me. I've used other versions of vlingo on other devices and it's nowhere near as good as this.
are all of you OUT OF THE BOX users....or have you done other things to your phones??

[Q] GS3: HELP WITH KEYBOARD (Cricket Wireless)

I updated to the 4.1.2 update over the air update for my cricket wireless galaxy s3 ( back during the $320 discount) and received a keyboard problem. My biggest sticking point now is that the default Samsung keyboard does not work for me. When I select that keyboard, any attempts to type by swiping show the line following my finger movement across the keys, but no text appears. I can type by tapping. I do have T9 Trace selected in the keyboard settings. I also have Swype Beta 1.3 installed and working properly, so I'm fine with using that keyboard, but I would like to figure out what settings I'm missing in the default keyboard. I tried uninstalling Swype and restoring with no improvement. Has anyone else experienced this? DO you need any additional information or have any suggestions?
* this question has been asked before and I'm aware of that but it received no answers. I'm really eager to get this problem fixed.

ยท can't use web/3g/ Wi-Fi during a phone call ( shows up as no internet connection but an connected to internet)

Problem Fixed, actually all problems were fixed. I'm assuming Cricket GS3's had a super buggy update in 4.2.1 (i think it waas that) but since 4.2.2 just came out, i backed up all my content, factory reset and updated. All problems solved
Solution: Update when you can and i guess do a factory restore before updating

Whenever since i upgraded my samsung galaxy s2 GTi9100, from version 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 with installing CM rom, 3G isnt working anymore. i always try to open it, but i doesn't work. is this some kind of a bug? and how can i fix it?

I have the same problem.
Upgraded my Galaxy S2 to 4.1.2 yesterday, and I cannot connect to 3G at all.
My contract is with Orange, I am wondering whether it is some sort of switch to EE issue which the update has brought about? I also think that I accidentally clicked something in a pop-up menu after the update. Like, a pop-up menu with 2 options came up on my screen, but I was just touching something anyway, and automatically selected an option (can't be sure, but think I clicked the option other than "Orange"), that could be the problem?

I bought the Gear S yesterday and wanted to pair it with my Tab S 8.4 (T705). Unfortunately it is not possible, I feat it only works with mobile phones? (even the Tab S is also a mobile phone). Anyone know a promising solution? Thanks!
+1 I d like to know as well I have the gear 2 for now but would like to pair gear S and tab S LTE
Have you tried installing Gear Manager manually? There are videos that show how to pair Gear 1 and 2 to non Samsung devices, maybe it also works for the gear s..

Yes I tried that, at least I changed the Model Number in build.prop (because I don't have to instal Samsung Services because it is a Samsung device). Didn't work out either...Interesting is, that with an old version of Gear Manager I can find the Gear S, but when I want to connect, it only sais "connecting to Gear" for hours...

The gear S should be able to connect to the tab it may show up as a bluetooth device only . My gear 2 pairs to my Tab S LTE/Wifi. That is very odd. Have you tired both gear managers old and new?

I tried that. I see the Gear S as a bluetooth device in settings but when I want to pair, it tells me, that the software ist not compatible. In Gear Manager, I don't find any device. Samsung Switzerland told me, that it is NOT compatible with Tab S at this moment, very disappointing. Hope for a fix, when Gear S is available worldwide. Meanwhile at least, I figured out, that the easter egg trick from Gear 2 (Press 25 Times screen when it wants to pair) works as well on Gear S, so you can use it as a phone wihtout pairing it to a Samsung device.

O ok that is good to hear maybe there will be a fix this Friday nov 7 that is when the US release will began. I have a Note 4 and a tab S LTE I will pair with the note 4 for now but want the outcome to pair to tab S

I have just bought the Gear S from Digitec, probably you bought from the same store.
Very disappointed that it needs a Galaxy smartphone (and not even all of them are actually compatible) for the sync with the Gear Manager app, I found it out later once I got home since the package said that it needs only an Android 4.3 with 1.5 GB of RAM minimum.
I have a Tab 3, also trying to pair: I could install all the versions from XDA but without succeeding so far.
I will let you know.

yes please let me know as soon as you succeed. It's a shame, people with non Samsung Devices are able to connect but it doesn't work with the latest Samsung Tab...

I'm not sure, what is is that helped. I tried the way from the other post for non Galaxy-Devices, I was able to pair but not to connect via Gear Manager. Then I changed my build.prop to a Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500 and device=Phone) and then I upgraded to the lastet Gear Manager. Suddenly I saw the Gear S as a device and it connected. Maybe you should try these two things? Best of luck!

service answered that Gear S can't support tabs in China.so I have to root the device and change the build.pro? Then I can sync GS with TS?I can install each app?

Yeah i have the same problem on my galaxy s6 edge .
I wanted to go to the samsung app store to download the new fix for the samsung quick setting toggles after reading about it in here . And bam i cant access any of the apps . Says network problem and no internet connection.
I thought I was the only one.

@sdese Got it fixed few minutes ago. Just factory reset your phone !!
Moral of the story : Samsung is not yet up to the mark regarding their softwares and you need to factory reset your phone everytime you face any problem "Bloated Touchwiz" eating up 70% RAM for instance !!
