[Q] How do I get tablet mode. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I am now stock. Would like landscape mode after I complete a phone call, it stays that way for 1 second then goes back to portrait mode.
With rooting and not a cooked romantic is there any mods to allow landscape.

The 4.2.2 ROMs have tablet mode.

I use an app called "Ultimate Rotation Control". You can pick and choose whatever you want to be in landscape.

Community Rom- Can't disable auto rotate?

Has anyone else had this issue with auto rotate? Using the community rom obviously. Another issue I have been having with it is going in and out of airplane mode, more often than not it won't pick up signal again and requires a reboot. Which is no where near as annoying compared to the auto rotate (yes I tried disabling it on both the pull down and in the settings -> display menu).

the next version of community rom (1.3) will have a version of the rotating launcher2 that can be enabled by the power control toggles....the newest tsm/psykdup mods enable this, but the launcher had to be edited accordingly
so hold on a *little* bit longer
Good to know im also having this problem and it really sucks but I guess its better than problems that come with ota froyo

since ive upgraded to 1.2 my home screen doesnt rotate anymore
like i said before..the launcher in 1.3 will *when its out* allow for toggling of rotation from the power controls
was it disabled in 1.2? because after i updated my screen no longer rotates. im glad because it got real annoying. im only bringing this up because if it was, the OP can just update to the newest version to fix his problem
Dont turn your phone sideways!

[Q] Landscape mode call screen

I'm searching for a way to have the "in-call" screen in landscape mode.
I use go contacts and the dialer can go in landscape mode but when i make/receive a call it goes to portrait mode.
Would be nice to see this as well.

Browsing XDA to find the solution
Know anyone how to get a larger photo caller id? Is very small on neo and the apps from market are not very good and takes some RAM.

[Q] Simple Streak, remove landscape.zip

This is probably a stupid question but I can't find the answer in a few searches.
How can I remove the Landscape mode .zip and let my streak use auto rotate again?
I prefer landscape mode for everything except the dialer and Kindle/Google books. With the new Google books update it now uses landscape and is pretty much unusable in my preferred reading method of laying on my side in bed. I would like to try different screen rotation lockers etc. and see if I can find a solution but I realized I don't know how to remove the Landscape mode without completely starting over by flashing the whole rom.
Refresh the ROM

My portrait mode zip should revert it back for you. Both Simple Streak and my Streakin' are based on 354, so the file involved should be the same.
Thank for the suggestion. I tried flashing your portrait.zip a couple of times and nothing happens. Checking and unchecking auto-rotate display my streak still stays on landscape. Maybe the landscape.zip has stronger mojo than yours. XD
Which launcher are you using? Have you checked the settings for it? Is everything about your streak stuck in landscape? On your lockscreen, is the clock oriented for portrait or landscape? The landscape.zip simply copies an edited file to /system/framework. Mine simply copies back the original and I've used it successfully. Maybe there is something else going on.

You're right! Thank you so much. I had Zeam launcher set to not allow rotation also. Unchecking that box after flashing your .zip makes it rotate correctly. Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Screen rotate isn't as flexible as it used to be

I've recently upgraded from a nexus one to my new s3. On my n1, I could turn off auto rotate in the display settings & some apps, such as YouTube & pocket, would still rotate if I turn the phone - which is exactly how I wanted it.
On my s3, however, if auto rotate is off then only games will change to landscape mode - which they do regardless of phone orientation.
It's not an issue with the phone hardware - if I enable auto rotate, then the phone responds as expected.
Is there any way to get my s3 to behave as my n1 did?

Youtube rotates regardless of auto-retation enabled or not, at least it does for me (On all the Stock Samsung Roms I tried.)
