Any way to add items to the ntification drop down menu? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I've noticed from screenshots and videos that not all GN2s have the same options on the drop down menu. Is there any way to add items to the bar? I noticed on one particular video that the wifi icon is where the bluetooth is on my phone.

Most of the custom ROMs offer this. Samsung/Verizon made some strange choices as to what was available as a toggle on stock touchwiz (and VZW added that annoying ongoing wifi notification). I use Beans ROM which allows you to display up to any 7 of 23 toggles including wifi, wifi hotspot, etc. and choose their order of appearance.

[Q] Pulldown Toggles

Anyone working on this yet?

Really - these handy pull down toggles (on/off's for wifi, bluetooth etc) have been on every ver of Android since 2.0. Until now - who's brilliant idea was it to remove these?

Toggles in the notification bar have only ever been an OEM add-on, they are not part of stock Android/AOSP.
That said, it's definitely one of the most obvious missing features vs. the RAZR's contemporaries from HTC and Samsung.
My wife's new Pantech Breakout has some nice notification toggles stock! I'd love for something like that for my Razr!

yea, I miss those too. hopefully ICS has something like that in it whenever that comes out.
Available in the Market as always for example via Widgetsoid.
How many times will I have to say that for people to understan, unbelievable.

Well it doesn't work very well maybe that's why...It doesn't work with either of my Motorola phones w/o the popup - and the popup defeats the purpose imo.
Perhaps it works better on other devices idk...
Additionally, a lot of the toggles don't even work...it looks real nice and seems to be very configurable but just doesn't work for me.
Add the Toggleower Contorl widget to have some toggles.
Notification Toggle is working on my RAZR with a few minor glitches and enables customized pull-down toggles. This is a great workaround until ICS.

Try MySettings, works like a charm
Shady's rom has toggles and Im now working on them for my rom also
Widgetsoid seems like a great app with a lot of potential and nice customization features, but on the Razr you can't toggle directly from the notification bar with it. Instead clicking on the toggle icon will popup another window to toggle the setting on or off. That and I haven't been able to change the colors of the toggles in the dropdown so that it's readable.
Notification toggle is the closest I've found. Each toggle takes up a line but you can actually turn the item on or off straight from the dropdown.

Its not a razr issue... Its a ginger bread issue...

Notes
1)"My script is setup to wipe everything so make a backup of anything on internal sd you dont want to lose
2)I am not responsible for any loss or damage to your phone if you flash this rom
3)the kernel im using does not work well with the animations in sense 4 tmartin says chad is working on another fix for this so it won be long hopefully... so until then when you first boot you need to go straight to settings and turn off animations or the screen will freeze constantly....
4)if you are s off all you will have to do is wipe and install the rom... if your s on from htc-dev you will need to flash the boot.img after the rom... ill post it with the rom for those who need it
5)this build was kinda rushed and by no means my best work but its a start i wanted you guys to be able to enjoy it alittle while we work on fixes and such, so post bugs here and preferably in my bug thread on the mikmik so i dont have to read a million pages to see one bug
6)directions for flashing boot in fastboot for those who need them

-copy to sd
-reboot to recovery
-wipe data, system, and dalvik
-Flash rom
**Installation of boot.img**

-type these commands
-"fastboot flash boot boot.img"

[Q] AllianceRom

Hello. After upgrading from Beans v22, I have questions about config options in AllianceRom, but I'm not able to post in those threads.
1 - The text, numbers and symbols (such as battery icon) in the status bar are a little bit dim for me and I'd like to make 'em easier to read. In Statusbar Options I downloaded a plain black image and set that to background. I don't see a setting in that section for changing the font. It's currently grayish. I guess I'd like to make it bright white to improve contrast. I can't see any effect from playing with the alpha slider in Statusbar Options.
2- Related to the above, I used that same plain black image to background the notification panel to block out the underlying pages and text. (Btw, I wish both the statusbar and notifications panel options included a colorpicker rather than only image-based wallpaper)).
Like the Statusbar section, I admit I can't tell what effect the wallpaper alpha slider is having.
What I'd like to be able to do with the Notification panel is get it more Beans 22-like so it's a one-step process to get to the toggles. In Beans they were waiting for use as soon as I slid down the panel. Default setup in v.24 is a two step process: lower the panel, and then press the icon to display the toggles.
3- Speaking of the toggles, could you point me to the settings area where I can remove/change the toggle choices? I'd like to slim it down to about 10 things I'd use most often.
4- While I'm mentioning toggles, I noticed that longpressing the WiFi Hotspot toggle takes me to the USB/BT Tether screen rather than the Mobile Hotspot config/allowed devices screen. Is there somewhere I can change what happens on a longpress? (Wow I'm a pain in the butt.)
5- Dropbox. I love Dropbox the service, but not the official Dropbox app. I prefer to access it from the cloud section of ES Explorer because I can browse without syncing and just pull over the files I want. In Alliance I don't seem to be able to uninstall the Dropbox app. Rather than freeze/turn off, I'd just as soon dump it. Is that possible?
Thanks so much!
ping!

[REQUEST] Wifi and signal icons Status Bar

Hi people!
Is there a way of moving the signal and wifi icons to the left, on the status bar?
In MIUI we've got the globeROM mod, that allows us to do this.
I want a solution for CM/LineageOS/AOSP based ROMs.
I'm using the latest NitrogenOS, Android 7.1.2.
Cheers

Hit thanks if I helped
This option flipped my whole phone's layout!
What I actually want is the iPhone's status bar disposal, like this:
Signal, Wifi (left) | clock (middle) | Bluetooth, alarm, battery, location, etc (right)
For Nougat: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.james.status but I don't really like it. You can try it, maybe it will be what you want. For MM: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bocharov.xposed.fsbi which is amazing and almost the only reason I stay in MM (needs Xposed).

GravityBox Lockscreen Tweaks Update Suggestions Requests Please! Thank You!

Hi!
I am using GravityBox with Xposed installed on my "Vernee Apollo" phone (the 2K version not the "Lite" version) which runs Android 6.0. The phone has full root.
Using GravityBox with Android 6.0 you have to realize that I don't know what exact and complete functions have GravityBox on its upper versions for later android versions, so I have to ask for developers for a few upgrades for the "Lockscreen Tweaks" section if I may, based on "GravityBox [MM]" only, please! Thank you for your understanding!
To get to the point here, below are the functions/settings I would like to see for the next releases of GravityBox:
1. Add More shortcuts than the 7 standard ones. Maybe we need to have 8, 10, 15 shortcuts on the lockscreen window, displayed on 2-3 rows. I am referring to these particular standard icons and not the "Pie controls" and/or "Application launcher" (I am not using these two sections/functions at all).
2. Add an option to make these 7 icons for these 7 shortcuts to be visible or unvisible/hidden on the lockscreen window. What I mean is the icons to become visible only when a notification arrives and after I see that linked notification, that (those) icon(s) to become hidden again. In this way we would have a clear lockscreen, only with the clock and/or date.
3. Upgrade the standard (stock) icons for the added 7 icons on the lockscreen (those stock white ones) , with updated icons! For instance, the icon for "Messenger" (from Facebook) app is not present in the stock white icons list and I have to use the "Hangouts" (Google) icon for it. You might consider to add (update the stock white integrated list icons) with more relevant icons for representative world wide known applications (like "Messenger" and so on).
4. Add the posibility to move down this 7 standard/stock white icons row on the lockscreen window, anywhere we want on the screen, between hour/date and unlock key icon from the bottom. In this way we can organize the lockscreen visual appearence as we please.
5. Add a function to add a PIN code for locking the screen directly from GravitBox (maybe a home screen shortcut for this function too) and not to use android stock security settings for that.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will add these functions/settings soon!
Have a wonderful life!
