[Q] Using multiple gamepads on the DNA? - HTC Droid DNA

I want to use multiple gamepads, specifically for old emulators. I currently have N64oid and FPse.
I see N64oid supports multiple bluetooth controllers with the Bluez IME app. I have 2 Wiimotes and try to hook them up. When I try to connect the 2nd Wiimote it keeps saying something like "Error connection refused."
Is this a problem trying to use 2 wiimotes? I keep reading something about HTC's bluetooth stack is stupid compared to other companies. Will I have better luck if I buy a different gamepad like the MOGA or something similar? Or will I only be able to connect 1 at a time?

only one at a time just buy another dna and connect the other remote to that one and then you have to remotes but two phones also

Don't know if jackass troll or being serious...
Seems he knows what he's talking about in other threads, but he also lacks basic grammar. You're making this tough on me.
I did find out that MOGA only supports 1 controller at a time, so that's a no-go on that one.

hey man i dont try to offend or be a jackass. i only try to help in hopes of you getting your answer and yes i lack basic grammar typing skills as i spent most of my life working and partying never finished school to busy trying to work to help my parents pay bills as we were really poor and i dont like missing meals because thats how things were so excuse my sh***y grammar fella
so since i went a looked a few things up on my own here you go
most only support 1 gamepad at any given concurrent moment. in order to have two remotes running at one time is too go buy another phone. at one moment you will have 2 remotes, but on the other hand you could always just be happy with one remote and donate a develop model to me have a great day

Telling me to buy 2 phones is not helpful. I want to play 2-4 players on 1 phone. How will this help?
If anyone's interested, I bought a Phonejoy dual analog controller. I'll see if I can sync 1 wiimote and 1 phonejoy to it. I'll update this later with my results.

either way im very friendly and gave you your only solution at the moment as for your issue i think you can only sync one controller at a time period but i maybe wrong.
crpalmers kernel has had a complete linux driver swap so multiple syncing will give best results with his kernel. so if you are able the best chances are there in his kernel. so does that help you better?

This is what ruins forums and the Internet, posting guesses instead of factual information.
Yes you were wrong. I got my Phonejoy today and hooked it up. I am now able to use 2 controllers, 1 Wii remote and 1 Phonejoy. I played Mario Kart split screen and it worked perfectly. Now I need to figure out if I can get 2 Wii remotes working. I'm not sure if I had set it up wrong. I followed the same steps and the Phonejoy worked. I may just have to get 3 more Phonejoys :crying:
Does anyone else have information on the topic? Can you hook up multiple Wii remotes or is it better/easier with Phonejoys?

I'm wondering how well it plays with our Evos. There is also an android app released for it.
Yep we sell em at best buy all the time and I was able to snag one with accomedations through my job. Its amazing how easy it works and you can stream right off your hard drive to your phone. Just turn it on, creates its own hotspot and you connect to it. Its great.

that's great, the comments I've been reading on Amazon are generally negative, they all complain how the iOS app is nothing but a giant alphabetical list of all the music and other media, not divided into albums or artists etc.
How good is the Android app? I'm mainly interested in stock music and video apps on Evo, can they connect to this drive seamlessly and fluently? Does it appear like a network server to them?
well download the app and get a work around it. The interface isn't as clean as I'd like, but it gets the job done. You actually turn it on and then connect to it through your networks settings like your connecting to a network. With most things it'll download for a second to stream but then play right off the hard drive.

Saw it the other day and realized that with real use, the battery is probably going to be toast in under 3 hours....
i just got one of these. the battery lasts pretty well so far. the best thing about it by miles though is that it's built from a tiny linux server running on an omap3 cpu.
you know what that means right?
i'll give you a clue.

I had one of these for exactly one day. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not. At the time I was using an Acer tablet that had a USB port, so I didnt really need it anyway.
But I will say that it worked horribly for me.
I've been wanting the air stash, uses SD cards and is pocketable(size of a flash drive)

Gamers?

Well thought I might help some people who may be interested in turning their phone into a mobile gaming device currently I have set up Super gnes from market. On my evo 3d but the fun comes with better game play using my ps3 controller to play. Alot smoother than using touch screen controls if interested let me know. Must be rooted with AOSP rom first I'm currently using miui. And yes I'm sure alot of you may already know but we were all noobs at one point so this threads for you guys if interested

If you buy the Sixaxis controller app you can pair your ps3 control with your phone.
It can be used but before buying the app get the free pairing tool and must have an aosp rom currently does not work with sense so cm7 or miui are your best bets if you find it does work about $6 in the market and your ready to go $2 for siaxis controller application and $4 for snes emulator there is a free version of emulator but it doesn't have as many features plus I like to stay updated
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Well I'm also a father and student so I will try and stay as up to date with those who would like help as I can so first steps always backup make a nand back up and find a aosp rom I recommend miui then get the free sixaxis application from market and read the directions in the application you will need a pc to change your controlers Bluetooth address don't worry your control will still work with your ps3 however make sure your ps3 is off when changing the address otherwise it will keep trying to connect to your ps3 rather than your phone. Will check in tomorrow to see what else I can help with for now try that out and goodnight

the Infamous Youzh's emu apps are still free if you want to take a look (except the N64, but $5 is way worth it.)
https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
For the record I installed snesoid, gensoid, and nesoid (Google to find cause they were pulled from the market, I had purchased these prior btw but had to hunt them down) and the sixaxis app was like $1.79, and as mentioned the pairing tool is free. Works flawlessly on Miui...

Nice contribution, thank you sirs. I didn't know this, will take a look later.
I have run the paired sixaxis with my 3d and my transformer. great time passer
cant stop playing shadowgun though. best 6$ ever
Will this work for most other games like Gameloft, Glu, Unity games?
Good question haven't tried yet as my time is very limited but I can look into it unless some one else already has. I will be the first to say I'm not the best at anything here just trying to help where I feel I can everything I know has been someone else's exploits that I taught myself through reading and you tube, and lemme tell ya YouTube can be your best friend when in a bind

nou, because gameloft games not have the option to "key mappings" ( ) but shadowgun had that option and i heard someone playing it with ps3 controller on evo3d

Game ?

I'm not a gamer, he**, I barely use my PS3. Since it was brought up here, I got GTA III and Modern Combat 3. Not good at either but my frustration comes from the fact it takes @ 5 minutes before you can play either of these. If I want to take a break and check mail, when I get ready to return, another 5 minutes!!!
Is there a setting to toss it in the back unless I actually hit an 'X' somewhere to shut it down?
I just press the home button and it still downloads in the background
I played that Modern Combat, took me 10 minutes to kill the first 6 guys on the Roof. Then I could not figure out what to do next, I finally said "f**k it, got a drink and turned on the TV! I wonder if there are instructions or hints/tips, gotta look.

[MHL] Adapter

Got an email this morning from Monoprice.com, One of the things it had was a MHL adapter for $10.20. Im thinking about picking one up so i play games on my big screen.
Monoprice has never let me down when it comes to cables. My whole house is wired from there products and has never failed me.
check them out.

MHL adapter takes the micro usb and turns it into HDMI. anything displayed on the phones screen is now on your TV. so using a PS3 controller and an app you can download from the market you can now play games on the tv using your phone as the console.
It will slow your phone down though, instead of mirroring, it actively creates both screens in real time.

This is not true. MHL output is mirrored in normal use, it is not a separate screen. Only exception is video playback, which is not mirrored afaik, however there is minimal if any performance hit.

I got it for $7 last month. It's great. Only think is that I can't figure out how to get Netflix to output on it in true HD. It's just stretched out and goofy looking.

It won't. MHL is not a part of CyanogenMod so you would need a very experienced dev to implement it.

Has anyone tried an Android Mirroring cable?

Saw this video about android mirroring but wasn't too sure if it is useful. This cable will be going on sale today but I have not heard of anyone using a cable like this.

I guess one of the benefits would be to hook your phone up to it at work and pretend to be working on the computer while you are actually texting or playing poker. I dunno.
i used to be able to do something similar over bluetooth or wifi a few years back, but i have yet to find the program i used, and i will assume you would need to be rooted. its a cool idea in many ways, but its use i feel is more of a cool or sneaky factor.
Yeah, I am hard pressed to find a really good reason to buy one. Being cool is a good reason though.

The root method your probably thinking of is called screen casting using droid explorer. Pretty useful if you work in a strict office environment.
