[Q] Stuck on boot screen - HTC One X+

So, i updated my rom (to Elegancia 4.8, as I heard 4.9 has problems), and now I am stuck at boot. If I try to boot to recovery, the TeamWin logo comes up and then the phone reboots. How do I go about fixing this?
EDIT: Just got weirder. It fully booted, then sort of shut off the screen when i touched it. I turned the screen back on, and then it rebooted again.

Do a full wipe, flash stock kernel and try again. If that doesnt work lock bootloader again and flash stock ruu.

Full wipe from where? I can't get to recovery. It has now fully booted, but if i try to get back to recovery it kind of lags out a bit and eventually reboots into rom. I am backing up everything now. I already tried reflashing the recovery, it still just crashes when i boot into it.

if i were you i would lock the bootloader again and flash the stock ruu, after that start from scratch.

How does one lock the bootloader? I might try after everything finishes backing up.

Please Help I think I bricked my phone

Ok I have a problem I flashed bulletless Rom 2.5 like I always flash roms I rebooted my phone into recovery (CWM touch) did a factory reset/wipe then I flashed the rom and everything went great I rebooted my phone and the rom booted and I went through the set up. I tried reflashing the CWM touch from fastboot but that didnt fix it
So I tried flashing the regulat CWM recover from fastboot but still no go

I had same issue when I tried CapAlpha ROM.
Your phone isn't bricked.... Just soft bricked.
Just restore a previous backup from hboot>recovery.... Make sure u restore using the same recovery you used to backup with... Just to be safe. That may mean flashing a new recovery through fastboot.

Just relock the bootloader, flash the RUU (you dont need recovery for any of these steps), get to stock and start over...

I had an issue kinda similar like this and ended up having to flash the RUU through the bootloader. It is the stock firmware 605.19, and I had to reroot. It's a pain I know but it works

I to had to this at one point and it does work. I would first try to flash cwm in fastboot though. Sometimes that works.

My friend's phone tried to pull an OTA while he had CWM recovery installed, and it started boot looping. Had to download the stock recovery, name is PG05IMG.zip in the root of the SDCard, and force the phone to boot to the bootloader and install it. Once it did, the phone started up, rebooted itself, and installed the OTA fine. Sounds like yours may be trying to do something similar?
If so rooted phones need caches cleared for the ota to work.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
From my understanding, Rooted can still take OTA, but you have to have stock recovery to do it (as I witnessed earlier). You will lose root, and will have to re-flash recovery to TWRP, CWMR, or whatever your normal choice is, and then re-apply the su.zip, but otherwise easy as pie.

Stock recovery PG05IMG.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/61129367/PG05IMG-Stock-Recovery.zip
Hello, first of all I would like to thank everyone who has posted in this thread to try and help out. I just started having a very similar problem- I'm rooted and running stock, but apparently my phone accepted an OTA and I'm stuck in a bootloop as well.
I got into CWM recovery and downloaded the stock recovery PG05IMG.zip, but it won't install. It just aborts every time I try to install it. I'm a noob at this stuff and not very good at dealing with these sorts of things and I've been having a panic attack for the past hour, so if anyone could help me as soon as possible I would really appreciate it.
I'm really scared of making things worse than they already are. I just want a working phone.

pull battery, wait a minute, turn on phone
when in bootloader screen,
volume down, select reboot
back to white screen, select recovery ( i had to do this twice)
hold volume up and power when black screen appears
choose the bottom option (wipe cache i believe)
choose reboot
phone should be good aftter this
( idont own a thunderbolt, but i had to fix this for a nother phone, called tech support and this worked)
hope this helps - hopefully saves someone from ruu'ing and wiping their phone
Thank you for posting the file, life got in the way yesterday. Hope that fixes your situation!

The zip won't work in CWM because it's not designed for use with CWM. It's designed for use in Fastboot. Should be on the root of your sd card. From off, if I'm correct (like this with other HTC devices), hold volume down and power to boot into fastboot. This will allow it to flash the stock recovery.

Android Revolution HD/Desire HD boot stuck

Well basically the title says it all. ARHD was the firs custom ROM i tried on my phone. I changed it and started do use MIUI for some time. But I decided to go back to AR. The problem is when I install it it stays in the boot screen. So I had to go back into recovery and go back to MIUI. I really miss AR. Any help will be appreciated.

Yes I did. The installation looks complete and there are no erros or anything. But the boot screen wont change. It stays in the default boot screen (the white background with green letters "HTC" )

That means it could be a problem with h-boot and s-off. I would recommend making sure your h-boot is up to date and you have s-off.

Try to redo all the step.
Wipe, Data, Cache, Dalvik.
Then flash the kernel, Install the ROM.zip, and the last is Gapps.

You can do this by booting into the bootloader, using volume down and the power button at the same time, then once in the bootloader look at what version number it says for h-boot on the screen. This video also shows you how to boot into the bootloader.

[Q] Stuck on white HTC Developmental Build Splash

Hi everyone and sorry if I do not post this in the right area, however I am panicking right now. I started tonight by trying to flash CM10 on my Evo. After flashing, the CM10 boot animation was still on the screen after about 30 minutes. I reboot and restored my previous backup. Everything was fine and sometime later after reading that I had to flash the kernel from Cm10 FIRST, then flash the rom in recovery immediately afterwards, I decided to try once more. Again, the same thing happened with the CM10 animation screen.
So once again, I restored my backup. But this time, my phone loads to the white screen that says "HTC QUIETLY BRILLIANT: This is for developmental purposes.. blah blah blah" It stays on this screen for a couple minutes, then I see a gray bar flashing at the top of the screen, and it reboots and does exactly the same thing.
When I enter into recovery with the Vol Down button, the bootloader still comes up and I can still get into recovery. I can't seem to find anything instructions specific to my situation though. I'm thinking that it is because of the CM10 kernel I flashed, but I was under the impression that by doing a restore of my backup, that my old kernel would be restored along with the stock rom.
Once again, I appologize if I am not in the right section, but please any help would be more than appreciated.

I can't get the phone loaded so I can't use any app. It's stuck in a loop with the initial HTC white splash screen, but I'm still able to get into recovery. So do I need to do this with adb instead while I'm in fastboot? If so, how do I go about that?

If your phone is s-off, use a computer to redownload the rom (did you check the md5 signature?) copy it to the phone using the mount feature in recovery, and reflash the zip there too. you only need to use adb if your phone is s-on to load the right boot.img, or it will get stuck at the cm loading screen. your phone is okay, i went through this at first too. look at the dirtyracoon soff method if you havent fully unlocked that yet, and there may be other ways of achieving that too.

[Q] My phone doesn't make it past the splash screen?

So tonight I decided to flash Android Revolution HD on my HTC One+, the first time it was flashing it stayed at 0& for at least 15 minutes till I decided to reboot the phone wipe it & restore. When I restored the phone it & rebooted it, it would stay at the splash screen. I've tried reinstalling again Android Revolution HD & nothing, splash screen again.
