C78P radio had some issues & there was a problem with text messaging, this can solve text messaging issues, this Radio is stronger than 78P, also this Radio is from 2.3.6 OTA update,
And yes cheekrox, u can flash it on your rooted stock rom

Your radios can be inserted into the EternityProject ROMs Thread as they, yup, they're unofficial packages, but flashing official radios.
We should only be sure that those packages are working.

Hi there:
I when through and flash the 85P in the Latin America firmware from Brasil that is posted in the forum. The flash apparently did when through, the phone rebooted, enter the recovery mode with the little android, it changed to a triangle with an exclamation sign and later on rebooted just fine and I have signal. In the about phone, the baseband number still appears as the old one. Is that a sign that the flash does not indeed when through, or it is just a build.pro thing. Any code on the dialer to check what baseband is running on the phone??
[Q] # fastboot flash radio new_radio.img ? YES YOU CAN! :)
Is it possible to use Android SDK's tool; fastboot ?
Of course the RAZR is in AP Fastboot mode. . I am only using GNU/Linux and usually I use the fastboot tool to flash my N1's radio.
Example
Code:
# fastboot flash radio new_radio.img
Updates:
YES! I able to flash the radio with the fastboot method.
Anyway, do it at your own risk!.
Thank you.

Sure, you can do that,
After unzipping the file, rename the radio file to "radio.img",
Then go on with "fastboot flash radio radio.img"

I flashed it with fastboot but same thing happen. I got a ok sending and writing radio at cmd and the phone booted to the little android screen. The bar started to fill up, at haft of it the icon changed to a triangle with an exclamation point. After some second it rebooted and in the about I still have the same old baseband information from the Latin American Fastboot file that is here in the forums, not the new one as 85P.

2nd question:
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware after installing higher version of the firmware.
Example:
If my current radio firmware version is ...78P and upgraded to 85P. Then, I want to downgrade to 73P again... is this possible?
Tips:
To make life easier, you can put the RAZR directly into AP Fastboot mode using # adb reboot bootloader while the RAZR is up running.
In my case, after the fastbott flash ... RAZR displayed the Android robot and open box, with progress bar. After few minutes, it restarted normally.
Remember to md5sum the radio.img file before flashing. The md5 value is in the .xml file.

[Q] Flashing Boot.img

Hey so i'm trying a couple rom's out and they all say to update the boot.img and every time i try do do this from the fastboot menu it says that it is out of date. i think the problem is that i have the ota update on my phone but i'm not really sure how to make it so that i can flash the boot.img from fastboot menu. any suggestions?
Check out Scotts CleanFLASH tool. Does it for you and you don't have to worry about mainvers and all that crap.

it isn't a problem if i install the boot.img after i flash the rom and i am running the rom because that is pretty much the only way i can use the cleanflash tool and the install the boot.img
Another option is to copy the boot.img file out of the PHzip file and flash it in fastboot (on your pc, not in the phone's menu). You won't have to worry about mainver issues that way either.
fastboot flash boot boot.img

[Q] S-off Flashing just new Radio

Now that we're S-Off we can flash new radios without having to relock and install the OTA. Does anyone know if extracting just the firmware.zip from the OTA and flashing it in fastboot will work?
Maybe something like this:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Code:
fastboot reboot
Here's the instructions... worked for me

Wont flash RUU after relocking.

My buddy handed me his Amaze to unroot and get back to stock so he could give to his mom. I used the All-in-One kit to relock the bootloader and flash the "mainver fix" and followed the instructions step by step to get back to stock but am now stuck. When I try to install the stock RUU it says the hboot version is older and asks if I want to reboot. Ok, so I tried flashing a newer version of Hboot and am now on 1.93.0002 but same outcome. Now, even worse, I can't get to recovery nor will it let me flash an img to get a recovery in place so I only have the bootloader now. It see's the IMG and loads it but doesn't ask to accept the update like it normally would. No matter what I name it, nothing loads or flashes. Whats the next step?
Have you tried using adb to flash the ruu?

Yeah I was at work and didnt have ADB setup on my comp. Went home and used ADB and was fine, thanks for the reminder!
In case anyone ever stumbles onto this issue, this is what you need to do.
Go to your ADB folder in your C drive and paste the RUU file. Name it something easy to type, in my case I changed it to " PH98IMG ". Then, open a command prompt and type EXACTLY as follows:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip filename.zip (example: fastboot flash zip PH98IMG.zip)
When its finished:
fastboot reboot
Boom, back to stock. Only thing I can think of is make sure you have a charged battery and the phone placed somewhere to where it wont become unplugged or the battery fall out as that could easily brick your device..

I actually had to. I kept on getting 155 error during RUU update. I tried many combinations with and without locks or different versions of boot.img and recovery.img . I believe there may have been some sort of corruption in my radio or firmware. It was the only way I could proceed.

Sure. These instruction were used on a htc m8 ATT phone that was S-ON. the bootloader was unlocked.
1. first boot the phone into fastboot by holding power+vol-up(to force shutdown) immediately followed by (power+vol-down) to go into hboot.
2. in hboot use volumen buttons for up and down and power button for selection. Select fastboot
3. lock the bootloader -> fastboot oem lock
3.1 at this point if you reboot the phone it will not go anywhere except for fastboot mode. no worries. if you unlock your phone you are back to your normal phone
4. we will not attempt to install new firmware
5. in fastboot command enter RUU mode: fastboot oem rebootRUU
6. phone will reboot and you get a different screen with grey picture. This mode is specially made for updating roms and other parts of phone.
7. download http://1drv.ms/1ClUXtt firmware.zip file (big thank you to krazyace35)
8. flash the firmware.zip : fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
9. at this point your phone may restart, do no worry.
9.1 you WILL get the following error in the command line: FAILED (remote: 90 hboot pre-update! please flush image again immediately)
9.2 if you get the error in 9.1 then you are in the right path. it means that S-ON has checked and accepted the firmware.zip if you get any other error it may be either because bootloader is unlocked or the firmware.zip file is not signed for your device. open the firmware.zip file using winrar and check android-info.txt file for CID and modelID to be a match to your phone. if not do not bother as any changes to the firmware of any kind (re-zipping) will invalidate it.
10. if you got the remote: 90 hboot pre-update! error from 9.1 then do the command again: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
10.1 make sure your computer is on reliable power. the cable and phone is not moved or require moving. As the next few minutes the firmware.zip will be updating the radio and other parts of the phone.
11. once the process is done, you will get a success/OKAY message which points to completion of firmware update
12. you may reboot the phone by: fastboot reboot
12.1 you may also use power+vol-up to reboot.
12.2 your phone should be able to pass through and enter the rom
13. we will now attempt to update to latest sense6/ATT rom
14. get this file: http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...40.45.C33065.00_F_release_426617_signed_2.exe
14.1 I do not remember who posted the link on XDA forum but the link was not on htc website.
15. again make sure your phone does not require moving and the cable is good. having more than 30% power is also an strong recommendation
16. enter fastboot again(step 2)
17. run the RUU file on your computer
18. follow steps
19. once your phone restarts you are in semi-safe zone. go for a 10 to 15 minute walk.
20. once you are back the RUU set up should be done.
21. restart your phone and wait for it to go to rom and you are satisfied.
OPTIONAL: unlocking bootloader:
22. reboot into fastboot
23. fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin (obtained from htcdev.com the file differs from phone to phone but easy and legal to obtain from HTC directly)
24. on your phone press volume up then power button to accept.
25. you now have unlocked bootloader
OPTIONAL: flash new recovery
26. find the following file: openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.2-m8.img (http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/HTCOne/M8TWRP/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.2-m8.img)
27. in fastboot run this command: fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.2-m8.img
28. you are done
