It's no big deal, i see barely the difference, the only thing i like about it is that now Google Music is supported in my country. i can upload 20000 songs and listen to them everywhere.

Kinda the same, actually i like the older better

+1 and it reminds me of the first market

I think the older one looks much better

It looks less depressing. I mean that in a very literal sense. Darker colors are drab and make use of a tablet seem less fun and more of a chore. So to add color makes the device pop out more

Dark screens save power on amoled devices. I prefer it bright and warm, my only oled display is a monochrome one on the car hifi.

Yep. Careful though, it seems like it will really suck out your battery. Also, it's not really as cool as you expect and can be pretty distracting. However, if you find a good video for a good LWP, you can use it to make that an LWP.
Its not thaf terrible on your battery cause it doesn't run when its not displayed. Also if you want to use your own video it has to be recorded in landscape mode cause it flips it. So yoh can either stretch, crop or have it really small in the center of ths screen. It workz with any video you have on your phone. Hell you can even set a Full movie to play.

Thanks I never knew that. I was just sitting here thinking. Haha. Owell

Camcorder sampling rate?

I've read many posts about editing /system/etc/mediaprofiles.xml and using fr4gg0r's hacked camera apps, but my audio never gets above 16000hz...has anyone else been able to successfully raise the audio quality? I like to record music and it makes a big difference...

Maybe someone can release a flashable file or even insert it into a ROM? Regardless, sounds like some rather nifty features, I'm always up for more goodies

All of it except the multicolor LED should be able to be ported. Our LED is red only so that nifty home button LED on the Pro that does all the colors will be the only one capable of taking advantage of that functionality.

This one still gets me. The cost difference between a red LED and an RGB LED must be in the tenths of a cent for LG. It would be such a nice feature to have.

Stock gallery photo editing compresses file

Love the phone but I tweaked a photo the phone compressed the file down to 245kb from 3mb. Does anybody know how I can keep original resolution without using a 3rd party app to do minor photo edits??
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
What tweaking did you do? I set a wallpaper from the home screen settings menu and it for sure did not compress it. Did you by any chance crop it with a certain resolution set?

It does not compress when setting a wallpaper. All I did was straighten a sunset very slightly. Once edit is complete it will save a copy of the edited photo in the gallery. The edited copy went from 3mb to 247kb.
It does this with any edit. I tried several. Please try to edit a photo in gallery with the stock edit tools by clicking the pencil at the top and see.

You are right, it's horrible...
Sent from my LG-F320L using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I feel like I must be missing a save setting or something. It doesn't make any sense they would do that on purpose considering the camera is so good.
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
Even the stock Google gallery app does this to some degree (though that sounds far worse). I've always used snapseed for my editing for that reason. Not sure if even that would preserve the original quality though given the 13MP on the g2.
There has to be a way to turn this off somehow
It must indeed be Android specific
Sent from my LG-F320L using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes it sucks, I don't really edit on my phone but its nice to be able to without that happening but I don't see a setting anywhere.
I'm afraid that with epic quality we just need to dump them like a real camera.

Lol last night I just used nfc to beam a pic to my fiancee gs4, edited it, then beamed it back to my g2. Pathetic but it worked.

Yes but I haven't looked for one yet. Its just disappointing that I would have to use one. It's like buying a $600 watch that keeps perfect time but no dial to set it.
