This is due to the multiuser aspect of 4.2 and is natural. They are just links to the actual folders.

How do I get apps or move to SD to recognize these folders? Can I rename them or put them in with the system folders?

They should act like any other folder. Don't rename them. You would just be asking for trouble.
I don't have my N2 in front of me but just ignore the emulated/0 directors and navigate using the SdCard (not sure of the exact name) and the ExtSdCard for file management. You can also navigate to your storage via the /storage directory.

My Files TW App

Does anyone have the apk or download for either an app similar to the my files on Samsung TW ROMs? I like the simplicity and can't stand any other ones from aosp ROMs.
Thanks

I've tried it, but I like how I can just load "ext sdcard" and "sdcard" where on others I've noticed its "sdcard0" and 1, 2, 3, root, system, etc.

Try Solid Explorer. It's the best file manager app I've used. Gives you split view when phone on landscape, root access... It's a great app

Did Matt start hijacking debuggerd to work around 4.2 limitations then? I didn't think he had bothered. Last I checked it only supported up to 4.1
Please link to 4.2 support announcement

It's a different beast. I don't think it can simply run from init.d the way the hijacking works, it needs to be delayed.

There is a micro Sd to SDXC adaptor that you can get for a couple bucks at walmart. You put your sd card in that, then put that into your computer.

At the top of root explorer out days mounted and there's a box next to it with either R/W or R/O in it. You want it to read R/O.

I deleted all my note 2 stuff. I'm on Tmo Note 3 and LG G3. If I locate it I'll repost for you.
