[Q]Stock Looking JB for 9300

Hello guys, I am looking for a rom for my new S3. Since I am coming from Nexus S, I really enjoy the stock JB look. My question is, is there any rom that looks stock as JB, but is also preferably not AOSP/AOKP, CM based? Thanks in advance

There are several, the most stock like are JB AOSP and SuperNexus, Cyanogen Mod 10 and Ressurection Remix and Paranoid android 4.1.2 are more advanced options with overclocking, modding the notofication tray and more.

I was exactly in your situation (coming from Nexus S) and I ended up using SuperNexus.
But you have to take into account that SuperNexus (as many other AOSP roms derived from CyanogenMod, which try to leverage the SGS3 hardware) will not give you some Samsung proprietary functionalities (e.g. radio, Samsung camera app, etc.).
I also tried CodecROM, which comes from the opposite direction (a Samsung rom with an AOSP look), but I found it already too customised (even selecting the minimum customisation in the Aroma installation) and strongly themed.
I'm still looking for a perfect combination, i.e. a Samsung-based stock rom with a minimal AOSP (Nexus) look.
Anyone with a good recommendation?
I am using sotmax stock jellybean v8, has stock looks with many modifications, very stable, I use siyah kernel
If you're just caring about looks, get a launcher on top of any rom with stock jb theme.

[Q] Best Lollipop ROM for I9300

HI guys,
Which is the best Lollipop ROM for I9300 with,
1. Good battery life
2. Great Performance
3. Stability
Any suggestions?
Resurrection Remix is nice.
Send from my G900F @ Ressurection Remix using Tapatalk.
I think the best lollipop rom is nightly cm 12 from just archi.
i agree wirh Pathera
I've been wondering the same thing. I've seen people post problems about camera no longer working or not being able to use wifi and other network functions. While others reported that their phone started to overheat.
I'd like to flash Lollipop on my i9300 but I'd like a ROM that's as close to Google stock as possible and yet is stable. Which would fit this description the best, Archi's cm 12, Ressurection Remix or some other ROM?
more then satisfied with temasek's cm12 ... everything works perfect, fine battery
CRdroid have no issues best performance no leakage of ram and balanced battery life
Another vote for temasek's cm12 unofficial build. I'd go that far to say that it's the best ROM ever for i9300.
Temasek FTW!
Temasek's and arter97 cm 12.1 LP 5.1.1!
Super stable, battery saver, and costumizable.
Note that it is a cm rom, so with all cm roms problems, namely random rebooting and car Bluetooth issues...
Anyway in my opinion the best i9300 LP ROM so far.
There is a paranoid android official 5.1.1 for i9300 in their website. It's pretty stake stable but lacking in features. Although you need to flash boeffela with it otherwise it won't boot after first installation.

[Q] A stable ROM for Galaxy s3

Greetings guys,
Can anyone recommend me a good and stable ROM without bugs for Samsung galaxy s3 . I had previously Cyanogenmod but the camera bug was really annoying.
Thank you.
CM11 M12 snapshot is most stable and bug free I know of. Maybe you should also try old UGNA5 stock rom. It's quite good but only 4.3. In other hand camera works flawlessly in this edition.

If you want Sammy stock I recommend QS stock 4.4.2 or Neat Rom stock 4.3.
But, if you want aosp lollipop, I recommend Euphoria. I try this for a week, it run more stable than CM 12.1. I just seen messaging app fc only. Solution is 3rd party sms app likes Textra, etc
These have balance of Performance, Rock stable and Battery friendly.
If you are looking for stock sammy then I'll suggest you Back to Noot 4.4.4 pure stock Rom by Arter97. Its ported from Samsung S3 LTE version since that version had 4.4.4 released by Samsung. With boeffla kernel V7.6
I am using this Rom for 3 or 4 months now since first day it was released. Rock solid and no artificial stuff just pure stock Rom.
Boeffla kernel 7.6 was released some two or three days back. So i can't say about it yet. But 7.5 version of the kernel was pretty solid.
And if you are looking for something stock in android 4.4.2 then I'll suggest QS Rom with latest boeffla kernel 6.xx. its ported from Samsung Note 2 and is a pretty good work. Stable and trouble free. I moved from this Rom to Back to Noot 4.4.4 as ofcourse it has more latest android.

Does the camera work also in CM11 M12 snapshot?
depends on what you for looking for in a rom
The issue of roms is like fleets of vehicles. They both gas and they cause accidents.. For me I would opt for a well known Rom like touch wiz based for stability purposes and cynogen based for fancy and style. Going on a Rom that is new is both fun and classic but using well researched roms is peaceful.. you would never got the n00t way since I had the latest version 9 unable to pic signal and crashed imei.. efs. ... I suggest hypermax for speedy phone ..... roms are like cars.... you always admire what u don't have. Do more practicals to discover your taste. ... For me am on carbon. ..

Latest android is 5.1.1 on this phone (not stock). I recommend omni 5.1.1 for a beginner for stability
Last official ROM is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. There will be no more official updates (the phone is 4 years old... I hope you bought it for cheap).
The good news is that, despite being old, stock ROM works good, so in most cases there is no need to flash a custom ROM.
If you want to try a newer custom ROM, AFAIK latest one is Lysergic Acid's CyanogenMod 12.1 .
Don't expect it to be as stable as stock ROM, though.

I bought it for 50 €. What about Speed and Overclocking on Custom ROM? Is it faster than Stock ROM for Gaming and Performance? 4.1.2 works perfect without problems.

Then you struck a bargain. :good:
I never tried overclocking and I just started trying custom ROM myself, so I can't help you.
The only thing I can say is that CyanogenMod 12.1 by Lysergic Acid is slightly faster than last official ROM, but it is not as stable.

If you want overclocking, you need to install a custom kernel like dorimanx kernel (up to kitkat) or gustavo (up to lollipop). If you need speed, lollipop isn't for you (still unpolished and unstable). Kitkat is currently the best option for speed, stability and compatibility. As for a good combo for rom and kernel, have a look at my sig

Just latest build of slim(Saber)kat
I think that this i91000 is a good machine... it has a lot of customs roms... kernels.... this phone.... remember me to my old motorola defy plus... an other phone whit a lot of custom roms.... I am very happy whit this terminal....may be not a grand phone whit a big hard... but it has a world of oportunities selcting roms.
Sorry for my bad english.
By the way.... based in a stock rom.. you have Neatrom.... 4.1.2 or based on stock rom has low Consumption and work more light.... then 4.4.4 kitkat y better but spend more battery (no much... you would test it)... for me... the best performance and smothly are the roms based on 4.1.2. but.... but.... but... every phone is a different world.

Best stock based 4.4 rom for i9300? Help

For stability and perfomance after install messenger, facebook, viber and instagram best rom?
There is no such thing like best rom because something that someone will consider best you can think is bad (so this thread is kind of against xda rules). In terms of stability and performance on 4.4 only cyanogenmod 11 is good. If you really want stock rom go for blekota lite or back to noot
