Bluetooth - car or phone problem? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Lately I have to reconnect my phone to my car stereo via bluetooth every day. Everything is paired correctly and after I select it through the car it syncs right up.
The issue is I've never had to do this on a daily basis before. I'd get in, hit aux and be good to go. Now II have to select that audio player from my car. Could be a ROM issue, could be a car issue, I don't know. Bluetooth has been fine before and I haven't reflashed any ROM since.
Just seeing if anyone's had this problem or knows a fix. For what's its worth running the latest Jedi 12 with no mods. 2012 Toyota Camry.

Galaxy S2 Bluetooth

Hi everyone, I was curious to see if anyone has had issues streaming audio with bluetooth with the S2.
I'm currently an Epic owner and the bluetooth is super choppy. Also heard that other android devices played choppy as well. Patiently waiting for U.S. Release. TIA

Impossible listening bluetooth audio Ford Focus
Hello,
Since I bought the SG S2 i haven't been able to listening to music throught the bluetooth of my car (Ford Focus with bluetooth) . Its all the time stoping and playing with all the music programs. The strange thing is that the hands-free works corectly.
I am trying to find out how to solve it.
I had some issues, once it was choppy but has not done it since then and every now and then it will be connected but play through the handset and not the speaker in my car so i have to reset.
Sort of annoying but its not often

Facing similar issue connecting with Ford Figo. GS2 connects and the car plays audio for around 10 seconds and then nothing. The phone still shows as transmitting audio via Bluetooth but the car is not well playing anything.
Worst thing is the car is not allowing or is not able to delete a pair with GS2.
Any ideas?

[Q] Let's talk Bluetooth problems

Hey everyone,
Has anyone noticed bluetooth issues? I've pointed them out in other threads, but they seem to be glossed over. I hate to seem like a noob by creating new threads, but I fear that the issue is being looked over by most people. I've read a few reports of people having issues with their phones connecting to their cars or headsets automatically. Has anyone else faced these issues?
I specifically cannot get my BT headset to connect unless I unpair and repair it everytime I want to use it. Sometimes even during a phone call the headset will drop connection and wont reconnect unless i turn it off and on a few times. For reference, I've tried multiple BT headsets and they all behave the same way. These headset's also work just fine with my Galaxy S2, just not with my S3 (international on XLE8)
No problems with bluetooth here and I use it a lot (HS3000, Logitech Boombox, PS3 and Wii controllers too).
No issues here. Phone sometimes doesn't pair automatically with the BT kit in my work car, but I've had that issue with my S1 and S2 in the same car so I'd say it's a problem with the headunit.
Works perfectly with the Sony headunit in my own car, and connects to my mate's fine.
ok, what firmware rev are you guys running? im going nuts not being able to use bluetooth here!!
somewhat related.
i often leave my sgs3 connected to my laptop via usb when i fall asleep. at morning, battery's charged 100% obviously and phone isn't hot.
last time around, i was listening to music via hm3700 bluetooth headset. then later turned off the bluetooth headset. i forgot to turn off the bluetooth on sgs3 and again fell asleep while it's still connected via usb to laptop.
when i woke up at morning as usual battery's charged 100% but the sgs3 was hot, not so hot but isn't anywhere the normal hot we're accustomed to.
connects automatically to my car's BT built-in system. Only needed to pair once.
Works very well with my Sennheiser PXC 310 BT.
If I switch on the headphones the phone automatically connects to it.
can everyone please detail their firmware/kernel they are using?
i am on XXALE8, with the stock kernel
I have problems on XXLE8 as well connect it to my car head unit and it acrually crashes the headunit after 5 mins being connected . After the heaf unit crashes 3 times it requires a pin code. Iphone 4, 4s and gs2 connect no issues.

thanks for your input, i upgraded to XALF5 and still having the same issues. this is frustrating!!!!
Oddly - my phone will automatically connect to my cars in-built BT system, but it won't auto connect to my Jawbone Era without switching BT of and back on....
I also have problems, with my build-in bt in my car. Have XXBLH3. Connect fine, but drop the connection 2-3min after. My SGSII have no problems
No Ringtone through Bluetooth
Okay here is my problem……I want my custom ringtones i have set for contact to play in my Bluetooth headset when a receive a call, not that dumb ring. That way I will know if I want to take the call or not because I can tell by the ringtone who is calling. Why would Samsung disable this feature. my iPhone 4s plays the ringtone I have setup when I get a call. Is there anyway to do this. I ride a motorcycle and I have a device called a Chatterbox that let’s me connect via Bluetooth to my phone so I can hear my music and talk and make calls while I am riding. On my iPhone 4s my music would pause my custom ringtone would play and I could decide it I wanted to take the call or send it to voicemail, then my music would start right back up from where it left off. Right now my Galaxy i717 and my Galaxy i747 (Note and S III) just play this annoying ring and I can’t tell who it is! Any have a fix or work around for this.
Hmmm, the sound on my cars bluetooth gets distorted and only a reconnect will fix, and more worringly sometimes the S3 will not wake up after disconnecting from my car and only a hard reset will solve it.
My S2 did pretty much the same thing.

[Q] Waze issues

I've been using Waze for a while now. Previously on my Rezound and it worked great and more recently on my S4. If I'm not using bluetooth in the car it works just fine (announcing through phone speaker). If I have it connected through bluetooth though it will always chop off the first 15 seconds or so of the audio announcements. If the announcement is long enough I'll catch the tail end, but that's it. Poweramp plays just fine. Phone calls work fine as well. I've tried forcing waze to the phone speaker but that also doesn't seem to help.
Any ideas? It's by far the best app I've found for getting me to/from work in the fastest way possible.
I LOVE Waze

But I've never used it with bluetooth. I've got my S4 jacked in to my stereo with one of those 3.5mm connectors and never have any trouble. If you have one of those in your car you might want to try that. You can grab one at wall world for $1.86 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Belkin-Mi...bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&findingMethod=p13n

[Q] Choppy Bluetooth Audio Chevy MyLink

So I just purchased a 2014 Chevy Cruze 1LT with the MyLink system. I have already had my G3 for a couple of months, and it has worked flawlessly with all other Bluetooth connections including the LG Tones headphones and a Logitech bluetooth receiver for my livingroom stereo. They get great range, no skipping, and good audio quality.
The G3's audio with the MyLink system is very choppy, and it's very random. At times it plays perfectly fine, but most of the time I have to either reboot the phone, restart the stereo or BT connection, re-pair the BT, change apps in the phone (Google Play Music, Songza, stock music player), toggle inputs on the stereo (to FM Radio and back to BT Audio). Sometimes these methods work, sometimes they don't. Calls are not choppy, just the A2DP BT profile for audio streaming.
This problem does not occur on my wife's Galaxy S3 or my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. I haven't tried any other of my older phones. I have factory reset the LG G3 (via system recovery) and tried it with nothing else installed on the device but the problem is still occurring, I have also reset the radio to factory defaults. I am rooted, but so are all of my devices and they have no issues. I have a case on my G3 but tried it with the case off. I have no wireless charging accessories that would interfere.
I am at a loss. The only solution I can think is to wait for an update to the G3 (that will probably break root) and pray it's fixed or contact MyLink support and ask them to look into it. Any thoughts?
I also have terrible audio stuttering over Bluetooth. I notice it in an audi q5, although it normally doesn't annoy me enough to put on fm radio instead. I also drive a Chevrolet camaro, and the audio stuttering makes the g3 unusable. My other devices don't have this problem.
I would love a software upgrade that fixes it.

If you have aux line in on your car stereo and you are looking to go wireless you can always try a bluetooth to stereo receiver like this one from best buy. (if you also wanna through a few bucks at it)

Bluetooth streaming over Elantra Limited with my G3 is perfect with no issues. You guys rooted or stock? Stock here.
I'm stock. I tried it tonight, and the Audi had only one or two minor stuttering issues. It occurred to me that sometimes I wear an Android Wear watch, and the stuttering is particularly bad when I do. I suppose trying to maintain two bluetooth connections at the same time would be hard.
Anyway, I'm glad streaming worked tonight, but it's been so unreliable in the past that I'm by no means certain that it's fixed.

Do you have lots of contacts? I think it has something to do with our phones sharing contacts with the mylink radio. Try unpairing and rename your device name to something else. When you connect again, say NO to allowing it to read your contacts and no to reading your messages and no to call history. Let me know if its smooth after that. I think there is something up with the phone syncing via bluetooth the contact data and messaging data.
I'm having the same issue with my 2015 VOLT, and this is the only thing that i can do for now to resolve it.
Yes! That did the trick! I denied the car's access to the addressbook and texts when I re-paired the device and has been smooth so far. Thank you! Brilliant insight!
There must not be enough virtual memory in the MyLink system for people with a large addrsssbook...
Awesome! OK so what I tried this morning was to allow the contacts but I waited maybe 10 minutes before I started any Bluetooth audio etc. Seems smooth now too. So maybe it just doesn't multi-task well?
I'm having the same problem on my Chevrolet S10 2014 mylink, but I just have the problem when running on ART mode. Mine phone is LG G3 D855 - 32Gb running V20a lollipop. On other devices run perfect. Will do the test tonight and give feedback.
Thank you!!
Edited: Did not worked to me. Same problem very bad sound quality. Look like the music play slowly. Very weird.
I have the same issue with my 2014 Cruze with MyLink and my G3. My old S3 and my girlfriend's S5 work fine. However my G3 is constantly stuttering and dropping connection when using the Pandora app. It happens when just choosing Bluetooth on the Mylink but it's not as bad. I'll try deleting/repairing without allowing contacts when I leave work.
Well as far as I know viseeousa BT works with android phones. A friend of mine have this WMA2000 and it really works well with android for bluetooth streaming, no interruptions.

bluetooth issues

using the mclaren edition not sure if that matters, build 10.0.36.hd61cb
issue is audio skips in my car every couple seconds when i use bluetooth.
and in my other car with an alpine head unit it will sync up to the unit but i cant even get audio to play out of it.
anyone know any bluetooth fix or have similar issues? i really like this phone but music in my car is kinda a bigg deal since
i commute to work everyday.
thanks all!
