skin or complete theme ? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Maybe this question has been already answered and even if I already did some researches I did not find anyhing linked to my demand.
Just to explain:
My wife has a nuvifone A50 (this is a great phone and it's said that ASUS and Garmin has stopped the venture ...
She's fan of the way the A50 is skinned and the way of woking.
Maybe you will probably said that she's stupid but she really don't like the orignal skin of Android 4.1.x
You are now thinking about the link with the Atrix ??? hummm.....
I will soon receive from my company a new GSM (S4) ...and I'm really attached to my atrix ... so I don't want to sell it on ebay and I plan to give it to my wife.
Questions:
- is there a skin or full theme that can work on the CM10 of epinter :
---> this skin should be user friendly ... and also more "colored"
- Is there a version of the HTC interface or Samsung interface that can work on the epinter version ?
I'm pretty sure that my questions are a bit dumb ... but I'm really interested and I know that you'll will find a solution for me
Thank all for your support and sorry for my poor english

I am not sure what the default launcher is on epinters cm10 but there's a ton of different themes for most launchers in Google Play.

Thank you.
Will this "skins" the menu / phone book / message etc ?

try this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BlackDub.theme.Sense4

see thread with CM10 themes, they should be compatible with epinter CM10 and capable to skin menu/phonebook/messages.

GREAT Chinese clones, will it root ?

I could get my hand on these 2 devices and even cheaper than offered here (got friend in china)
http://android-sale.com/hdc-galaxy-s4.html
http://android-sale.com/goophone-n2...-mt6589-8mp-camera-1gb-ram-android-phone.html
they both have MT6589 CPU and I would grab them easily if only ONE person from this goddamn HDC would speak proper English.
what would I want:
1. root
2. firmware flash in case of shi*
3. CWM maybe ..
I have seen that many devices with MTK have been rooted, specially those Galaxy S3 clones, even 5-6 different kinds
If anyone could at least point me in right direction, that would be nice, cause I could grab these phones for less than 140$ a piece.
thank you all in advance.
don't worry for root and firmwares (it is just maybe harder to find them in another forum/sites)
for CWM i don't know , maybe , but chances are big here too

Yeah, I rushed for no reason - ZOPO leader ZP900 is the phone to take. ZP900 already has community support, is not a clone (almost original design) , and people are giving positive feedback. these 2 are clones, and being that, they would never "live" long enough for people to take interest in them. And on top of that, UMI X2 is about to come out
Umi seems to take a life to be released!!

you mean port Samsung ROM yo xperia devices?
think you can not, to my knowledge, you can only port design elements (wallpapers, icons, etc.) remember that Samsung, Sony, HTC, has as base Android, and every company that makes is to customize Android to differentiate it from the competition and put their own applications to use unique features of each company.

Yes, I mean port Samsung Rom to Xperia ...but why?
Because I tested about 10 Roms on my Xperia U ((Official & Customized)) but all have the same problems
Lag in calls...takes toooo long time to open apps like Whatsapp, viber,FB, or messaging....I only use those apps
While Samsung devices have less ram and cpu speed open 10000 apps and have great performance.

I think what you say has 2 reasons,
1. remember this Samsung above to Sony in device development, his architecture gives it better performance than many others devices.
2. like I said, all are based on Android, and we know that Sony makes optimization for your devices is not always good.
can not carry because Samsung and Sony architectures are different and therefore can not, it is not if you have the same capabilities RAM or not.
example is the Galaxy s3 mini, maclaw can not port ROM for Xperia U but share certain things, he had to take a ROM Sony and implement arrangements that can be (I speak of KitKat)

Nougat for Leeco Le Max 2

Is any developer going to do a ROM based on Android Nougat. Now when the Nougat 7.0 AOSP is released..
Skickat från min Le X820 via Tapatalk
Quite a few developers have abandoned their development for Le Max 2 as it is such an unpopular phone. They have moved on to One Plus 3.
Even I am willing to sell off my Le Max 2 because the company is such a b**** to deal with when it comes to support.
One Plus 3 not having Quick Charge based charging is currently holding me back. I am heavily invested in QC 3.0 chargers. All will go to waste if I get One Plus 3. It also has screen quality and calibration issues. Colors appear to be neon like.
We might not even get official Android Nougat 7 for our Le Max 2 as the company has not yet provided Android Marshmallow 6 to Le Max 1 as of today.
Who in their right minds will buy their products? God save this company.

Hi,
It's correct that the OnePlus 3 is more popular.
But owning it, I really would advise NOT TO BUY IT ! It's only plus over the LeEco is the community support...
I would recommend the Axon 7... I've seen it. It's really nice. But it's not available as for now here in Europe.
Besides, Google will announce their own devices anytime soon now. I'd wait for those ones to see how they are price wise.
I also do not understand why those devs that were working on the LeEco never published sources... That would allow other devs to continue their work, and maybe give this device the popularity it deserves.
Regards.
Hello everyone,

Hi,
Not really sure to understand what you mean...
Anyways : yes, ffboy2009, which has delivered a lot of the ROMs, and especially CM13, has announced that the latest CM13 build he posted would be the last development on this device.
Unfortunately, he seems to be the only one to have had access to LeEco kernel sources and he hasn't released sources so unless anyone with the sources can come up, we're stuck with Android MM.
Regards.

LMAO. I hope he meant developer from Roma has stopped Le Max 2 development. Arrested = stopped (Dude is using some seriously messed up translator)
If you browse ydss.cn with google translate, you get hilarious translations like "I support the landlord for his landlording, pour some chopsticks over my tea"

Ofcourse. How can they forget to discuss about Soy sauce in the middle of ROM development?

Hello, WTF is Roma?
LeEco has released kernel source code for this device. MM-based Mokee firmware daily builds are available. Cm14 is in its early stages of development and is not available for many devices. However, there are no problems which can prevent CM or other AOSP nougat based ROM from not being released for this phone.
I also have this question. I just bought the Le Max 2 (maybe regrettably) and was hoping to find at least a rom with 7.0 in it. I need to get rid of EUI ASAP.
Try Mokee rom. Google it and you will find a download page. Soon there will be a nougat based CM14
we were close to a nougat rom. @ffboy2009 have a working rom a few days ago. just the camera wasnt working. but it seems that some people are more concernerd with secondary issues that could be resolved via private messages that actually help. the same people that only write in le max foruns to create problems, but to help resolve them, not one single post. hope @ffboy2009 can post is rom soon so other people like the great dev @STEVE_MARS can help solve the bugs
@ffboy2009 can you please post the ROM? Thanks

Any cool themes to share? MI Themes are totally trash!

Hello! I believe this is the first thread in this section and my first ever for requesting themes.
Some of you might find it funny but i literally don't like any of the themes outta MI Themes. They are either stupendously feature-full or they are extremely blank (which is not called subtle). I want a good mix of a decent yet subtle theme taking full advantage of 18:9 (another disappointing factor that revokes me from applying from MIUI Themes).
Please share good themes here.
TIA !!
P.S. - I couldn't find any dedicated Redmi 5 thread throughout XDA hence the reason for me posting here.

It is literally known as meme-ui the whole Android community gives out about it, it is a meme for how bad it is.
Your better off going with an aosp rom as your privacy and data will be safe, Android one just gives it all to Google aswel.
Read up about these things first don't just go blindly flashing stuff coz it's "cool".
Plus it's a lot heavier than an aosp rom which will eat ram and battery on the device and probably result in a decrease in performance.
What is the reasoning behind wanting miui so much? Just out of curiosity.
Is there any way to install gsi on mi a3? tried to install resurrection remix through fastboot in "A" slot (fastboot flash system system.img) but phone doesn't boot.

i am using miui from very first of my phone. and after buying mi a3 i just stuck into minimal feature of android one .. also i need to get back app locker, privacy locker, screen recoder with internal audio, real full screen gesture dark mode and many mode without using any 3rd party app
Why did you buy the A3 in the first place? CC9e is identical in specs but with MIUI, I'd buy this phone because of Android One like the most of us.

moreover, CC9e has FullHD+ 1080p screen, unlike A3.

yes, such a shame... and makes no sense, the android one support does add to the price the phones so why... is a big mistery for me too... not to mention variety, there's countkess more miui phones to choose from

What you are saying used to be true.
I hated Miui when I first tried it in 2017. Recent Global versions of Miui is fantastic, I prefer using the customized Xiaomi/EU rom.
AOSP has its merits, but the Xiaomi Meme thing is honestly outdated and frankly silly.
and after so many jokes and history classes, and explanations of the boy who works at bestbuy, is there any way to use MIUI in the A3?

...Second space
Record calls (without using any 3rd party app)
etc, etc, etc
What's so bad on using 3rd party apps to have those feature? I for one have zero interest in call recorder, screen recorder, app lock, second space or any of the MIUI apps and I'm glad that these, for me useless apps are not part of the system. That's why I always choose clean Android. If you know that you need such features, well, buy a phone with MIUI..? Even if you somehow manage to boot MIUI on A3, it won't support OTA updates and most probably some of the essential features won't work (e.g. FP sensor).

If Mi CC9e had a global MIUI (not English / Chinese only), there would be no such conversation. But since there are a lot of people who like MIUI more than Android Stock, there are a lot of people looking for MIUI for the Mi A3!

Xiaomi has 4 phones with Android One and at least 20 with MIUI. A3 is nothing special (except the Android One program), why on Earth would you choose it over any other phone with fully supported MIUI out of the box? Just to complain that you miss things which are deliberately not present?

A3 is nothing special? Tell me one smartphone with a screen less than 6 inches (for me very important) and a decent battery (over 4000 mAh). In addition it has a good / excellent camera.

I am not familiar with MIUI phones as I find zero interest in them. If there is no such phone, I guess you need to make a compromise somewhere.
Most recent phones have excellent camera with gcam mod.

Guys, MIUI has its benefits, but stock android is not that bad either. I just love stock android.
But it seems many people are regretting buying this phone. Maybe someone will port MIUI for A3 someday, meanwhile you can follow the video shared by @ozankardes, it looks promising. The video is not in English, but I guess you can pickup the important bits easily. Good luck!
I tried the MIUI ROM in the video. it work.
ROM belongs to MI CC9e. Only 2 languages. English & Chinese. You can use morelocale2.
-No Google apps.
-Auto brightness is not stable.
-Fingerprints don't work.
Everything works except what those.
I tried a few more A/B GSI roms (Flyme 8, MIUI 11). None of them worked. Maybe only will work GSI A roms I don't know. We need to do more trials.
