roms! wow - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

It's nice to see the n2 finally getting attracting more devs and a variety of roms. That has been the only disappointment for me with the n2. Coming from the s3, it was a shock to find only two working roms. Things are looking better. Keep going folks. This phone may be good enough for me to keep more than three months!

Just happy to see Scott and Cleanrom here, now if the Darkhorse devs would show up my life would be complete.

Try beans. You will never look anywhere else!

Yea I'm on meanbeans 1.11. Gonna try the new ice one come Thursday or Friday. been wanting to install cleanrom also but that may be next week. I like to test them for a week before I make my decision if I'm gonna stick with it.

I THINK he meant Beans as in "Jelly'Beans'" Rom, but I could be mistaken.

Sorry, yes thats what I meant. JellyBeans rom.

Anyone know with the arrival of the S4 if we'll see TW ports to the Note 2? I'm interested in TW running android 4.2.

I have the patch... pm if you still need it.
Here it is in case. Flash rom, flash patch, flash kernel. This is not my work, its from jminnis over in the att novella dos thread... he helped me out a ton, so thank him if you get the chance... sick rom! http://db.tt/LXGHXC70

Will that patch work for any non verizon rom? Or is it rom specific? I'd like to be abke to run other carriers roms.

If you want to try a dope tw rom.... try amnospherum. The transitions are great and performance and customization is incredible for a TW based Rom. It doesnt get nearly as much attention as it should but really all around a great rom

Note2 thoughts, Feeler Thread...

For those who dont know me I dev with Team Slim, ROM is called Slim Bean, located here. Anyway I have tossing the idea of getting the note2 around in my head and bringing Slim Bean 4.2.1 to it as well If your interested in Slim Bean on the note2 drop a post so I can get a feel for how many want to see Slim Bean on this device.
What kind of question is that.... of course we want you to create a rom here. I use to run slim on my s3!! Amazing work

**** I forgot lol I remember now. I remember I tried out his ROM for a bit. I was thinking of someone else who made a slimmer TW ROM. Now that I look back at my S3 backups I remember. His ROMs were still really damn slim. The only ROM that was slimmer was Liquid but Slim still had lots of features while maintaining that slim package

Stock based Rom quality

I really am happy with the roms for our device up to date. Its not just the powerful hardware that gets me. I have plenty of other devices. Aosp, sense, touchwiz, blur. Out of all of the available roms. I'm really digging these LG roms. The launcher. Q-slide. Its all very functional for me. Oh and the calculator especially.
I think even though I'm dying to try Aosp on this phone like every one else. I think at the end of the day ill still be rockin an LG based rom. I was wondering if anyone else is thinking like me?

Looking for new ROM to try.

Have been on beans and cm10.1 for last few months. Love it. Can't stand low volume issues.. Wouldn't mind giving that halo thing another opportunity but don't know whats stable that has it. Any tips ?

low volume is an issue for aosp in general, heard it's better in 4.3 but they're not stable yet. If you like Halo try a floating Windows tw rom, it's like Halo on steroids.

Halo has like changed how I use my phone. I can't live without it since i first flashed paranoid android on my gnex. I have been daily driving paranoid android 4.3 for near a month now and it's amazing. If you like aosp Roms that's the way to go IMO. Pacman is another good option. For tw id recommend jelly beans or the new Jedi x. If I were you I'd just flash around like I did until you find something that fits your needs. For me its paranoid android with devil kernel
Hope this helped

lol you knuckleheads...... On paranoid 4.3 . Enjoying halo big time. Thinking about switching to an older version so I can enjoy something that's more complete. It's brilliant though. Guys are really doing a great job. At times the PIE hidden nav bar gets in the way of my launcher buttons, but i made it smaller and it seemed to help a big.. still in the way at times... I love the PIE full screen mode...
