[L5] E612F Unlock bootloader Solution.! worked for me. - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Android Development

Hello:
First of all. thank you very much for your hard work on this L5 Forum and all XDA. I wanted to share my Experience im currently using an L5 E612F From Telcel Mexico, so i wanted to unlock my bootloader and install cwm and a CM rom, but yes exactly as it says on this post the unlocked bootloader from E612 wont work on E612F u got a bootloop every 3 mins or less, so i went up and keep searching, and finally get the solution.
0.- Im not responsable for any damage to your device i tested this only in my L5 from telcel Mexico wish had E612F originaly.
1.- Root your phone as it says on this posthttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098550.
2.- When unlocking Bootloader use file for E610 instead of E612 and proceed as it says in the first posthttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163698.
3.- Install clockwork recovery as it says in the post same as the one above.
4.- Install Custom Rom ( i used CM 10 from herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184644 and it works like charm.! so far so Good and not even a single reboot).
5.- Boooomm!! Unlocked bootloader, custom recovery and custom rom.!
so if this works on your device just click thanks and i dont take any credit for this becouse i just find it by doing random test on my L5

How did you manage to isntal CM10 for E610 in E162?
I keep getting an errir that the system does not match e610 when I try to isntall the CM10 zip.

1) Pacman kernel won't work on stock.
2) This kernel is for p760 not p768.
3) Unlocked bootloarder?
4) Just use kdz offline or online method and it should be fine.

[Q] Help rooting and installing rom Huawei y300

Hello there, how are you?
My problem is, I received an Y300 as a gift, haven't yet received it but I want to prepare the necessary things to root it and install custom roms on it. No, this isn't the first phone I install a custom rom to, as I have already played with an Optimus L5 of a friend. Could you please answer this questions?
a) How do I root the phone and install CWM or other recovery? I have found many tutorials but they are confusing, and require waiting for 2-3 days for the code to unlock the bootloader. In case you need to know, it probably is the normal Y300, the international one, so no Asian Model
b) How many ROMS are there for this phone? I like Cyanogenmod and stock roms the most, I can barely stand the stock rom in the phone, so I would like to install a new ROM on it ASAP.
c) By flashing the new ROM, do I lose IMEI or something like that (EFS Folder in Samsung phones)? If so, how can I back it up?
Thanks for your help

Here is a GUIDE to unlock the bootloader and root your phone
Thanks, LS.xD
This was all I needed, I've found a CM11 Rom in the Modaco forums, hope it works well. Just got to wait until I get the phone
Okay, so I downloaded the latest nighly of the ROM, but it appears that CM11 is not very stable and has many problems with SystemUI (statusbar) and other things. Aren't there any ROMS for the Y300 on XDA? Also, will I lose my network connectivity if I do the wipes (data, cache, dalvik cache)?
Again, thanks for all your help, I appreciate it
EDIT: Found CM10.1 here in XDA but it redirected me to Modaco, however it is quite stable, downloading now. So which wipes do I have to do, in order to get everything smooth? Also, as I said will I lose my network connectivity or IMEI if I do these wipes, or I can do this without worrying

[Q] P760 still on stock where to start

Hello!
I have P760 model for a year and a half now and it is starting to be painfully slow.
Do you suggest me to make only a HW reset or should I upgrade to some custom rom?
I you suggest to upgrade, can you please tell me where to start - I have seen that there is some L9 Toolkit - will it do all the things that are necessary to upgrade to custom rom?
Thank you ,
Z
I think you should try KitKat ROM. There's no slow or lag with it First you need to unlock your bootloader because it's required for flash custom ROM. Then install a custom recovery. After that download a ROM, flash with recovery and enjoy
P760 has nice support, for example you can start reading this thread.

You can't flash any custom ROM on your P769 unless your bootloader is unlocked. Unlocking the bootloader on these L9's is almost impossible... On the newer versions of the L9, LG encrypted the bootloader. So unless someone figures out a new method to bypass the encrypted bootloader your stuck with it being locked and not being able to flash any custom rom.
There are a few ROMs for the P769 that work with a locked bootloader thought and would be your only option for a ROM other than 100% stock.
I use the Kumakan v3 themed ROM on my L9. There's another one, UltraRom which is based off of the kumankan ROM and a CM9 ROM, all are for 769's with locked bootloaders.
To install them, your L9 needs to be rooted, have BusyBox installed and you use the L9 recovery installer to flash cwm recovery.

If you already have CWM installed, then you're all set to install the custom ROM. Just make sure to run the Nandroid backup from CWM before the upgrade (better safe than sorry).

It means you have replaced the recovery to one that allows you to upgrade your ROM among other things (CWM that is).
Regarding custom ROMs - that's the big question: There are nearly no custom ROMs for this device, or rather to the L7 II series. If you browse the Android development section, you'll find some custom ROMs, but they are all based on the current 4.1.2 one. There's also an MIUI ROM for your device, about which you can read at the end of this thread. According to other threads here, LG has announced it would upgrade the L7 II series to KitKat somewhere round August (which should be any time now), so I guess the best thing to do would be to wait for it (as I do).
