General Info & Introduction
Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Very very very very nice! I'm an admitted crack flasher (that didn't sound right) and I gotta tell you, my n7 may have found it's forever rom. Congrats on the absolutely stellar work and I love the redone recentest dialog. Does anyone have a suggestion for a kernel or should I just stick with stock? This rom needs more attention!

Working and looking great so far
The only thing which doesn't work is that if I click on either my channel or subscribed channels on YouTube I'll get a FC.
I'm guessing it's a conflict from this ROM somewhere because I tried previous versions of the app, uninstall/reinstall, clear data, reboot etc and the only time it worked was when I went onto different ROMs.
Other than that though, great work

Thank you, I'll fix soon :fingers-crossed:
Not seeing the downloads in Chrome although they are present in Firefox and IE.
Beta 3 released, have a look at changelog, flash and please provide an apt feedback (very much appreciated).
:good:
Currently testing out Beta 3 after using Carbon for so long. I gotta hand it to you guys, this is a great ROM and it deserves much more attention! I used Beta 1 when I was just starting to flash ROMs on my Nexus 7, and it was pretty radical!
My only problem is that while using the stock kernel, my battery dropped 9% while just in deep sleep mode from about 11:30 p.m. to 6:10 a.m. yikes! I can't seem to figure out what caused it either.
next rom after cyanogen, ive liked. very solid and high quality thing) want to become your grouper beta tester and can help with translation to Russian language

I am not responsible for borked phones, your howling cats and dogs, or the weather. If you flash this rom, it is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
And be sure to flash Gapps if you want the play store. Also, I am by no means a developer. And these are initial builds, they will more than likely have bugs. Help along the way is always welcome. And don't forget to thank the sources!

I would like to build using a different kernel but am really still learning, so in time I'll get there. I tried chris41g's 4Aces in my test drive and it was pretty smooth.
Which build was it .... The newest... I use it for fast charge ...I don't over clock I under clock.... I know 5/06 build was giving bootloops on certain ROM builds
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Yes. It would have been the newest 05/06 build that I tried. No bootloops when I flashed it.
I also tried this one and did get a bootloop
http://goo.im/devs/flappjaxxx/i717/kernel/3.0.7
I did not try the Alt version though.
I'm going to charge up battery and give everything a go .. I also had a MMS apk that enables theming backgrounds and font colors that I had from rootbox..seems to be working well ... Thamx for the kernel info .. After I charge up I'll flash it

17 /8 - New Build upload.
* PA 3.97 - HALO 2.0
**** Change Logs from Paranoid Android. ****
First public preview. This opens up a whole new spectrum and this may even be interesting for plug-ins and add-ons.
HALO shows the actual notifications now, not just a lame text. The coolest thing, it supports multitouch so you can go in there and interact with these notifications while you task. It's easier than you may think, in the worst case you use two hands or don't interact - just lift the finger as always and you get your floating window.
There are tons of improvements and details in this one, too many to list right now.
This is a major shift from the original code-base so screw-ups could happen. This was only tested on Mako (Nexus 4 in default size). If maintainers build this for other devices, see if it works for you please.
Should we see anything bad we'll heal it asap as always.
Other changes
- Quick Settings: Option to use floating window
- ParanoidOTA bugfixes (still beta, sorry)
- Bionic/Krait/CAF optimizations
- Back Camera is working now. Front camera crashes still.

* Added Focal camera back
* CMFilemanager, Torch and DSPmanager are back
* APN setting is working now
* WIFI, BT, NFC, wifi tethering are all functional now.
* Stylus Gestures added to languages & Inputs menu
*** Not working ***
* Stock Camera is still buggy, crashes after a shot, reboot is the only option to get it working again.
* Advanced setting will crash as this option has been removed by the CM team. Not sure why. Trying to get it back.
* Graphical glitches are still present in stock browser, gmail and a few other apps.

1. Frequently Asked Questions:
1.1 Where can I find the latest PA build?
http://goo.im/devs/tilaksidduram/roms
check the folders 'dev' and 'alpha', too if you want to know what's up on the edge of development progress.
1.2 Do I have to flash PA GApps every time I update PA Rom?
YES!
Please read this post by the official maintainer of PA GApps @TKruzze:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41127930&postcount=23078
1.3 What’s the best kernel for this rom?
In moles's words: "the best kernel is probably the one that ships with the rom."
But in general it’s totally up to you which kernel you prefer and want to use. Make sure you read the corresponding kernel threads and don’t listen to „…this kernel is the best, for sure!“. Maybe try them all and see which one fits your needs.
1.4 How to enable PIE?
a) power menu, then choose Full Screen (PIE)
or:
b) open quick settings and press the PIE tile
To customize PIE in matters of gravity, style, size etc. go to settings-->toolbars into section PIE CONTROLS.
1.5 Is it possible to use PIE with status bar?
1. disable fullscreen mode (PIE) using tile or power menu
2. SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->INTERFACE and set the navbar to 0%
Note: You will only have the bare PIE as a navigation replacement without further information and actions due to the fact these things can be found in the status bar.
1.6 How can I change the colors of PIE?
PIE takes the same colors you define for navbar, navbuttons, status icons etc.
You can change colors for almost all apps in a stroke:
1. SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->INTERFACE-->GLOBAL COLORS
or
you can change colors individually app per app:
2.a) SETTINGS-->HYBRID PROPERTIES-->APPS
2.b) using the quicksettings tile HYBRID PORPERTIES within the app you want to change-->Swipe to colors.
PER APP COLORS overwrite GLOBAL COLORS for the apps you changed individually. Unchanged apps will take the GLOBAL COLORS.
NOTE regarding 'enable per app color':
DISABLE it means you fall back to the default colors given by PA Team.You can't change any color!
ENABLE it means you can define GLOBAL COLORS or individually colors on per app basis. Most likely you will enable it.
NOTE regarding 'small style changes to PIE‘ since build of May26th:
Status icon color is linked to the navbar color for PIE from now on! There’s no chance to change navbar color for PIE individually.
1.7 How can I set the navigation bar and/or status bar transparent?
For STATUS BAR use the quick settings tile HYBRID PROPERTIES within the app, go to colors and use the alpha slider within status bar color
For NAVIGATION BAR it is only possible for your launcher due to the fact your launcher is the only app that can draw underneath. Use instructions above.
HEX CODES FOR TRANSPARENCY
#00000000 - 100% transparency with black
#3F000000 - 75% transparency with black
#7F000000 - 50% transparency with black
#BF000000 - 25% transparency with black
Note: IMO statusbar transparency only makes sense for your launcher. A full transparent statusbar within an app means you getting the background color of it (at its best). This might work with PIE and STATUSBAR but in any other mode or UI it looks weird if you ask me. Some apps like maps even going crazy!
1.8 How to enable HALO? I can't see HALO anywhere on my screen.
1. Press the blue circle in notification bar. Only possible in PhoneUI and PhabletUI!
2. You can 'hide HALO after activity'. If ticked HALO will show up on an incoming notification and hides after a few seconds. Find that option in SETTINGS-->TOOLBARS in section STATUS BAR.
3. If it just disappears out of nowhere the following post might help you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41650766&postcount=26070
1.9 I can't activate HALO in TabUI neither in expanded desktop (PIE w/ status bar).
Due to HALO is not integrated into TabUI and PIE right now. But you can apply HALO in PhoneUI/PhabletUI and switch to TabUI and/or expanded desktop afterwards.
1.10 Why HALO does not react for this and that situation?
Quote:
posted on G+ 05.05.2013
It simply reacts to the regular ticker, the one you know from the statusbar. ticker has its own rules implemented by google as to not tax the user too much. HALO reacts every time androids generates a genuine tick.
if it doesn't respond at all, not even to your touch you have some crazy hacky stuff installed. get rid of that!!! TOUCH CONTROL, kernels that mess with responsiveness and overlays, etc.
1.11 Where can I add apps to the blacklist of HALO?
SETTINS-->APPS:
Choose app you want to blacklist and tick ‚blacklist notifications for HALO
For now, blacklisted apps get unticked if you reboot the device!
1.12 How can I add Facebook Messenger to HALO)))?
Due to Google messenger (G+) and Facebook messenger (FB) share the same name when adding apps to HALO))) you can only add one at a time: By default it is G+
-->freeze G+, add FB to HALO))) and unfreeze G+
1.13 Why I'm not able to install any .apk from sdcard?
Quote:
The install button-gate. Google disables that button as a security measure to prevent apps from installing stuff via overlay/virtual click. without it apps could install trojans without your interaction. HALO is an overlay. no way we could have seen that - although im not sure if switching it off is the right thing.
NOTE on G+ for the build of May 26th:
Quote:
Googles anti overlayprotection that blocked the install button is temporarily fixed in this one.
1.14 How can I turn on wireless display on PA?
change the layout of 'settings' to the default one of 360p. Press apply and you should see the activation switch.

it is the same. in face the op had a huge part in it's development mainly in halo.
since be vigilant, the original op is shifting house and wouldn't have a good internet for a couple of months, he closed that thread and asked tilak to continue his work instead.

Both of them are the same and they are build from PA and CM10.1 sources. The maintainer of the other thread is shifting his house and does not have the time to continue building hence he asked the Mods to close his thread.
Bevigilant and myself were building PA Roms for N7100 and i was posting my build in his thread until today.
tilak have you thought about a community for our rom ?
and you have linked to the same banner 4 times rather than the 5 different in the other thread.
and i think it is totally worth mentioning the original thread and bevigilant

I haven't thought about a community but it sounds good to have one. I can create one on G+ and have the link update in the OP.
I have now changed the Banners and have added Bevigilant to the credits list and his thread link.

ROM
Love your ROM mate. I also love that Red wallpaper on the screenshot. Anyone point me in the direction for that wallpaper?
Can someone using this ROM n plays Ingress confirm if you're getting notifications from Ingress? And does volume wake work after the phone is idle for a longer time, like overnight?
@tilaksidduram, is there a way where we can not have an internal SD at all, n the external SD becomes the only SD? Just nudge me in the direction n i shall do the build/ changes. Am asking this because the internal SD is a potential data loss area, and the swapping mods were not reliable in 4.2x when I tried them last.

Hi @tilaksidduram I have this annoying thing that happens to me a lot and would like to know if there is something that can be done.
I have both papyrus and my script notes apps to note things on the run but some time by mistake I press the back button by accident and that will cause me to take me out of the page.
Is it possible to disable the buttons while on these kind of apps?
Thanks in advance.

[ROMs]4.2.2 Final Fantasies by Judas77 [Vanilla R-B, ChaOS, Slim, Resurrection Remix]

I take no resposibility if something will go... not as it supposed to. The responsibility for potential damages caused by installing or using of this ROM is Yours, and Yours only!
My ROM is released „as is” – you don’t like it – don’t use it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is Final Fantasies Project?
Time passes, many of You use very good and stable 4.4.2 ROMs, but…
That ROMs are stable, but don’t like my Ace II (mostly by not letting me fast use GPS). I don’t use GPS very often, but… that fact itself
is driving me crazy).
The last Android version, which lets me use GPS without stress is 4.2.x…
But most of 4.2.x ROMs for our Codina’s have status final/abandoned/unsupported now…
So I had to do the updates by myself.
Why? – You ask… Because I can

Vanilla Root-Box is great ROM, I updated it some time ago using newest Device sources (Rox addend it to OP of his thread). Only inconvenience for me is lack of Quick Peek feature…
Now I think – the OMX patches I used aren’t the newest one, so I made one more build (not tested thoroughly though). Bonus – I added Abyssplug governor…
Next one – Chameleon OS, „my” ChaOS). I compiled two builds some time ago, but it has some “unneeded” bugs, like low in-call volume. Current build should be pretty bugs free, but the ROM is little laggy itself… Great feature of ChaOS – partial compatibility with MIUI themes…
The last (for now?) ROM is my nightmare – Slim Bean. I lost many hours trying to compile it long time ago, without success (downloading sources couple of times. The ones, who try to compile ROM from sources know how big it could be).
Finaly - I managed to compile working Slim Bean 4.2.2… with some issues (YT app freezing, etc.). So I compiled one more build – and added some features (somebody may remember my minimal by judas77 v.1.6) using aroma installer. You can swap memory, turn off backlights, change font, add adblocking script, some apps and Radio FM during installation of ROM…
Common part
Important!
Any Galaxy Ace II ROM based on Android 4.2.x+ has to be installed over Android 4.1.x+ (stock ROM, CM-like customs). You will need custom recovery (temporary one is good enough)
It is strongly recommended to make a backup before installing of ANY ROM!
----------------------------------------------
Installation:
1.Put ROM’s Zip file (and other zip files - optionally) on SD Card
2.Enter Recovery Mode
3.Pick options:
a)Wipe Data/Factory Reset
b)In „mounts and storage” choose: Format System
c)(just in case) Mount system partition (it supposed to be „unmount” visible)
4.Choose Install Zip (or similar, depends on recovery version)
a)Install ROM from SD card
5.(optional) installing Gapps and other add-ons
a)In „mounts and storage” Mount /system (as described above)
b)Choose install zip and install chosen add-on
c)repeat a and b points for any other add-on
6.Reboot Phone (first BOOT could take a while)
Common add-ons (I’ll add it later):
Memory swap:
Disabling buttons backlight:
Ad-blocking:
Alternative fonts (Roboto Condensed):
Minimal Gapps pack:

BUILD 1 – Initial/Final [2014-02-19]
ROM’sprofile:
Build 1 – Initial/Final [20140219]
* Based on uptodate device sources
* Latest OMX patches
* No low incall volume bug (thanx for @h3llrais3r)
* Working LPM charging
* KSM feature Better RAM management
* Optimised
* Working New YouTube app (without freezes, hopefully)
* New Governors: OndemandQ and Abyssplug
* SIO and ZEN* IO schedulers added
* Some libs compiled from sources
* Initial/Final ReleaseJ
Issues (not working):
- No video in some “video streaming” apps
- Default torch has turning on delay – added alternative one (but won’t work from quick settings tile)
- Very strange thing – quick tiles appear only IF YOU HAVE GAPPS installed!! Never experienced such behavior (but I use gapps all the time).

TeamCanjica, dh.harald i SakuraDroid – for great contribution to codina device/kernel sources;
everybody who deserves it, but I forgot because of my faulty memory.

Oh no, nothing special, old builds, just share...
There is supposed to be at least one more 4.2 ROM, but somebody spoil it by the latest release
I'll clean a bit later too, now I'm bored waiting for a doctor. The line up is rather long

No. Its the updated 'final' build of these 3 roms(what i understood from op. Besides, why would you need 3 links for 1 rom? )
