Anybody using this on AT&T? - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I know the specs show that it has AT&T LTE bands, but had anybody actually used it on AT&T LTE yet? If so, please report your impressions.
Thanks.

I'm confused why so many people are worried about unlocking and band compatibility. Get the one from your own carrier !

Works exactly the same for me using an AT&T SIM in the T-Mobile HTC one. The other way around, I get less HSPA+ service using an AT&T SIM in a T-Mobile HTC One.

No. The AT&T one doesn't fully support T-Mobile while the T-Mobile one fully supports BOTH T-Mobile and AT&T.
For people who don't want CDMA-based service, the T-Mobile version is the best one to buy for compatibility.

Are you sure about that, Maybe the AT&T version needs to be unlocked for it to work on T-Mobile's HSPA+ Network. I hope like hell it does because I would like to have the 64gb version working on my Network of choice, T-Mobile of course.

This has been discussed to death on the boards.
All the phones have the same internal radio hardware but what's been flashed to each device is different.

i got a att version unlock, big mistake for tmobile. i flashed tmobile rom and radio. alot of places in new york i get 2G which it was constant 4G with my note 2. Place where i get 4G i only get 7mbps. while with my note 2 i was able to get up to 18mbps. Order the tmobile version will return this one. The only reason i bought this is because they had it locally in ATT store while tmobile htc one is on backorder and not avail in any store.

Unfortunately Samsung doesn't just make the same model for both I would imagine it would save them money also but att phones work slow on T-Mobile but other way around your golden

Dude,
It works very well! I have the AT&T Note... I unlocked it ($25 on ebay, I prefer this method as the seller has a reputation to protect). I then had it rooted, then flashed over to T-Mobile (http://rootgalaxynote.com/).
I did a test on the $30 - 1,500 minute plan (only 30 megs of data) to see how it works. I did this before flashing the modem and the 2G/Edge doesn't work well at all for the Note. However, after flashing the modem, it screams on TMO's 4G.
Good luck to you, but flash it and don't look back!

But just as a heads up, the exynos chip in the international version is not LTE equipped. So, if you get the international model it won't work on Tmobile's 4g bands even if you flash/hack/pray to the cell gods or anything else to your phone.

I'm not totally sure but, I believe if you get the international it will work on tmobile's hspa+. You shouldn't have to get the AT&T version if you just want to use the phone on tmobile and, are ok without LTE. Hspa+ is still very fast.

T-Mobile doesn't even have LTE so it doesn't make a difference.
The AT&T Note is the only one that works with T-Mobile 4G which again, is not LTE.
Also, no the international version does NOT get T-Mobile hspa +.
The international version ONLY gets EDGE on T-Mobile.

yes sorry WCDMA , and they only give me 137.80 for it :/ not enough for a used galaxy.
I'm confused what the GSM galaxy nexus will offer over the GS II. Don't they both use the same HSPA+ / WCDMA frequencies, if you get the GSM version?
Regardless I think you will be extremely lucky if you can find a way to swap a Galaxy S II for a Galaxy Nexus. If you ever do find a way that by some miracle gets you a GSM Galaxy Nexus for a i777 straight over, do let us know.

I think your confused. You cant use any GSM phone on Verizon. Unless maybe its unlocked? Verizon is CDMA. Along with Sprint. GSM can be used with ATT and T Mobile. i777 is for ATT. Unless you have the International version i9100. Then you should be able to put a T Mobile sim in it.

Yes, you need a CDMA/LTE Galaxy Nexus for Verizon. The i777 will not work on Verizon.
None of AT&T's LTE phones will work on Verizon, even if unlocked. What AT&T calls 4G that isn't LTE, their HSPA+, is also referred to as WCDMA, plus their 3G is called WCDMA, but its not CDMA like Verizon or Sprint. If that wasn't confusing enough both AT&T and Verizon use 700 MHz LTE, but they are not using the same section of the 700 range so they are not interoperable. Unlike EDGE (2G) that is interopeable on AT&T vs T-Mobile. And some regions of AT&T and T-Mobile use the same 3G frequencies, so some 3G phones have limited functionality on both GSM networks.
Basic rule of thumb, for best results get a phone specifically made for your carrier.

Sprint Galaxy S 3 (USA) vs international galaxy s 3 question

Here is my issue. I am currently in the US. I might teach ESL overseas in Korea in January. I am not sure which phone to get. Will the USA one work over in Korea? Will thew international one work in the US?
It could work but Sprint has the radios locked.

The international one works in the US flawless... just not on all carriers... it works the best on AT&T if you want to use it in the US and get 4G(HSPA+)
You can use it on T-Mobile but you will have to settle for EDGE(2G)

It would work on most carriers which uses the international frequencies.
Not just AT&T for US. Works with Rogers, Fido, Telus, and Bell Mobility in Canada for instance.

Just a side note, HSPA+ is not 4G. It's still 3G. LTE/WiMax is 4G.
so which companies will it work with 4g/lte? Will it not work with Sprint? Anyone know any deals for the international version?
Sprint (and Verizon) is on an old CDMA network while the majority of the world is on GSM, you know, operating with a SIM card. If you're set on travelling, it's better to get any of the GSM-variant, that way, you can just pop in any sim card from any major carriers all over the world.
I currently have a photon which has a sim card slot in it. So the Galaxy s international wont work on Sprint? Damn I want to keep my SERO plan lol. So where can I get an international verison from? Also would I have to pay full price for it?
Does the photon has an active sim card in it? I'm assuming no. I've never used a dual-mode phone before (nor am I familiar with how they operate on different networks), so I dont know the ins-and-outs on how to get it activate for a GSM carrier.
Damn, now i have a headache just trying to figure out how it works to have an intl GSM phone on a network that is predominantly CDMA whom happens to offer a dual-mode phone on their network

The SIM in the Photon is just for roaming. Sprint does not use SIM cards - even their LTE phones have them embedded rather than user-accessible.
As the Sprint Galaxy S III is not a 'global' phone - i.e. does not have both GSM/UMTS and CDMA radios - do not purchase it if you have any intention of using it outside the US. CDMA is no longer a global technology.
Confuses me a little that people spend so much on devices without checking what networks they support. Ho-hum.

AT&T version on T-Mobile

So what could the AT&T version (i527) get on T-Mobile? Here is the listed specs;
GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900,
UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
LTE700 (B17), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1900 (B2)
If I live in a refarmed area with LTE would I get both LTE and hspa+?

In theory, yes. You certainly should get LTE and HSPA+ data connectivity since AT&T and T-Mobile both use the exact same frequency bands for those services. However, you won't know how fast or how slow your data speed will be until you are actually using the AT&T Mega on T-Mobile's network. The modem plays a big part here.
For example, I had an unlocked AT&T Galaxy Note LTE that I used on T-Mobile. I flashed various modems that were ported from different devices. A modem ported from a T-Mobile (non-LTE) device gave me HSPA+ speeds around 15mbps but no LTE at all. Since the T-Mobile phone from which the modem was taken did not support LTE, the extracted modem did not support LTE. Meanwhile, a modem ported from an AT&T (LTE) device produced LTE speeds around 22mbps but HSPA+ speeds of only around 8mbps. The point? Your mileage may vary.
Yeah I had an unlocked Galaxy Note 1 from At&t and I was using it with Tmobile which worked pretty good a while back. Hopefully I can pick one up. Thank you. ..

I tried on their website and it said the same thing about signing up for an account. I guess I will get it when it pops up on Amazon. I wonder if AT&T will unlock it even if we aren't customers.
So am I correct in my understanding that the only version that has Tmo bands (4g and lte) is the AT&T version?
All the ones on amazon are a great price 450$ but are international versions.

Since T-Mobile actually encourages people to bring their unlocked phones onto their network, they should gladly help you with setting up the APN for your LTE device.

[Q] (Q) why am i getting att & tmobile's LTE on my vzw s4!

don't get me wrong I'm not complaining or anything, but i was told rightly by numerous forum members,
that a verizon wireless galaxy s4 was not capable of receiving any other LTE Bands aside from verizon wireless LTE,
and that it was an actual hardware limitation of the device which does sound logical,
so my question is do I have a special device.?
one thing I will say about this new GS4 is it's a refurbished model,
it was a replacement through my insurance program at Best Buy.
it's running 4.3 mk2, I'm receiving AT&T LTE via prepaid net10 sim, and also
T-Mobile LTE through a postpaid account sim.
so I'm thinking this was possibly a GSM model and was configured to run on Verizon's network when it got refurbished?
or do all S4's built after a certain date have the capability of receiving LTE from multiple carriers..?¿?

Our s4 is able to connect to all available networks but the sim cards have created the limitations...if you have tmo sim + correct APN installed it will work on that network... Should be about the same across the board...that's why its sim unlocked...with the right info and tools it should work on any network

so are you saying these newer devices that are running 4.3 out of the box should be capable of using all of the LTE bands used in the United States.
if that's the case I'm definitely happy for the community ,and then kinda bummed out because I'm not special
lol j/k

good deal man,
that rocks on so many levels,
I was always telling my friends if you was going to buy a phone used or outright to go with a Verizon model,
just because of it being sim unlocked,
and now with this news about the LTE radios it seems like Verizon would be your best choice for an all-around device.
I wonder if a new T-Mobile or AT&T s4, would get LTE from Verizon?

A T-Mobile device might get VZW's new LTE, it's AWS like T-Mobile's. VZW hasn't turned it on everywhere though.
