Firefox has flash support and desktop user agent. I use it when I need flash and works well, though I use chrome (when I don't need flash) most of the time.

Try out Dolphin Browser. If you use the jet pack as well it's really fast but slightly unstable (getting better though) it's still nice without jet pack.

She could sideload the flash APK without being rooted and use the stock browser. Just make sure unknown sources is checked in dev settings.

Without a doubt... Maxthon Browser.

New Dolphin 7.0 Browser Update

Anybody try the new dolphin browser 7.0 from Getjar? I only tried it for a minute but it seemed fast rendering the web pages. Hopeing to test it out a little more later.

I also get their update email. It seems they can sync data between different device (cloud service). It's awesome.
Does it have incognito browsing?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
You can select in options to browse without history and leave the setting so it opens in incognito.

I actually like it. Everything seems so smooth.
I personally think Dolphin for Pad Beta 1 is better than the HD browser but thats just me
Can someone please post the Dolphin Pad Beta apk. I cannot get it from the market on my phone and I am going to port it to my Playbook, thanks in advance.

Using different browsers

If I wanted to make an online transaction with my Android device and I was using a browser other than stock (e.g. Overskreen), then would my card details (used to complete the transaction) be at a safety risk due to the fact that I have made the transaction in a browser which is owned by a developer and so would he have access to these details and the like?
Thank you

i dont tink so. its like saying using mozilla or chrome is more insecure than using internet explorer. but the best is using the app from the bank itself.
yes but Firefox and the like are big companies whereas things like dolphin and overskreen are quite small so I don't want to risk anything and so want to be sure.

Dolphin Browser has been proven to record data and send them to the developers and what not. That's why i stopped using it. I would go with Chrome or Firefox.
Selling my Xoom 32Gb Wifi w/ 32Gb Class 10 SDCard.
PM Me!
I'm using overskreen currently but thanks a lot for your suggestion. Can any apps from market gather information I type on my browser?

Adobe flash and JB rom's

I just wanted to confirm this. I was told that flash doesn't work on JB and that adobe did not plan to have a working version? Is this correct? I have been wanting to try one of the jb roms from our great developers but I need flash. I use dolphin to stream video from amazon and it requires you to have flash to do this.

Flash works on the JB Roms I've tried. The market won't let you download it, so you'll have to install manually.
Adobe will no longer support flash for new versions of Android. Most websites are offering alternatives anyway, welcome to HTML5

Download it and tap it - it installs. Save it somewhere for future use.

What version of dolphin should we use? I have 8.7 and 8.6.1
Adobe Flash 11.X works fine the stock browser for me. Especially on my tablets.
Just wish it would work on Chrome :/

If you have it installed already uninstall, find apk online and reinstall than reboot that worked for me.

For me version 8.6x and 8.7 won't let you enable flash. Version 7.6 crashes when you enable flash.

Newest flashplayer for jelly bean

Hey guys! the flash player in the market has been updated but if your on jelly bean it will say not compatible for your device! So I figured I would post it so us jelly bean users can side loaded it and watch flash on our super phones like we should! I tested it last night and for me works in stock browser just fine.
Works for me! On slim bean 2.6 on kkx kernel. Thank you for the dl

I installed the Flash player and went to a website with a flash enabled video and it still didnt work. Does this only work for the stock browser or is it system wide application?

Chrome doesn't support the flash plugin. Only system web browser. Wonder if there is a way to implement a patch?

Are you in stock browser? I'm getting note 2 next week! Flash better work in US version Or I'll be pissed!! does it work on other sites or nowhere at all?
so I just played with a US variant of the Galaxy Note 2. I loaded up my flash player on it and it worked in the stock browser so I feel a lot better now.

Problem - browser user agent always mobile

Hello, I've noticed, that in every internet browser after changing user agent in options no settings are taken over. Means all the time mobile versions of the websites. How the hell make it force work ?
That's the website's fault. I've had the same problem on several devices and browsers. See if the website has its own full version link (usually at the bottom of the page).
It's not website's fault, becouse the same browser on other phone is working in desktop mode on chosen website, while on XZU website is still in mobile mode and clicking "full view" is not working on every of them (but the last part is irrelevant).
Well then it might be Chrome. There is no ****ing way that Android on this particular device will not let you change to a full version site, so try a different browser and see if that helps (Firefox, Opera etc.).
Works fine on mine with chrome and dolphin.

Haha, i just did and it switched over to the desktop version. No problem.
Sent from my Z Ultra, using XDA Premium 4
If you're rooted you can force chrome to tablet version, not user agent, but full tablet layout, that may work.
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Boat browser is the best browser still for Ultra (ie:1. fastest.. 2. Clean Up And 2.menus and controls are all at the bottom of the screen). Which is important for the Ultra.
Also has desktop version.
Boat is having flash problems on this xperia. I've used it since a year on note 2 without any problems though. Tested yesterday every browser on the market, by none got properly working flash with properly working UA dekstop.
Will try forcing chrom if I find a tutorial...
