Having trouble rooting my new Gigabyte GSmart Maya M1 - tried 2 times with Bin4ry script, it seems that it runs OK, it reboot my phone, but that's all. Root not done. Can absence of sim card in be the problem?
JB 4.1 OS installed.

Today I can fonfirm that we are not able to make root acces even by Bin4ry_v30 - I have same results - I see sucess message and reboot - but after reboot root access still missing.
Any suggestion what could be tested in next steps??

Instructions for flashing CWM and getting root for Gigabyte GSmart Maya M1
Before installation, disable anti-virus software (firewall) to avoid possible problems?
1) Copy SuperSU_1.25_CWM.zip to sdcard
2) Extract the driver archive MayaM1_Driver.zip and put the driver manually.
(To verify that the drivers are installed without a problem, open the Device Manager,
connect the phone to your computer turned off, in the ports for a few seconds the device should appear MediaTek),
after checking the phone is disconnected from the computer.
3) Extract the archive MayaM1_SP_Flash_Tool.zip
Run the file from the unpacked folder Flash_tool.exe.
Push the button to open the folder Scatter-loading MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
and select the file from the folder with the program Flash_tool.
4) Remove the check marks from all items if they are included,
and click on the row and select the file RECOVERY Maya M1_recovery_130515-133513.img.
5) Confirm that the check mark is only on the point RECOVERY and select the correct file, press the button Download,
a warning that not all files are selected clicks Yes to connect your phone off and wait for the end of the process.
Done!
6) Enter the CWM on the phone turned off press Volume + button and the power button,
the first button to keep the entrance to the CWM.
Navigating the CWM to do the following using the volume,
confirmation of the selected item - briefly pressing the power button.
Throw down the file on a flash drive, go to CWM, choose install zip from sdcard,
then select the file and confirm SuperSU_1.25_CWM.zip.

Well step 5 works,but when applying update SuperSU_1.25_CWM from sdcard following appears:
Error: Invalid 0TA package, missing scatter

Repeat all.
After green cirkle, unplug cable and go in to recovery (power + volume up until the GSmart logo appears).
If you just turn on phone, you will lose CWM recovery. Phone System install default recovery on boot.
You can not flash SuperSu using default recovery. Besause of that you have Error: Invalid 0TA package, missing scatter

I do not see same But now i thing is mistake betwen keyboard and chair
I have fear that i did something wrong whit driver. I have notebook whit WIN7 , here it is imposible, I took old one whit XP and tried it many times.
In Device manager I see driver whit Composite device - but I if inplug phone off - i didn't see MediTek information...
When iI'm at step 5 - i do not see any gree cyrcle - no information about proceeding or end of proces mark - thing that i have no needed comunication in here based on driver
Do you have any idea what could be wrong?? What OS do you used (Xp SP2 or XP SP3)? Could be relavat that I have CZ localization of OS?
If i tried it on notebook of my coleagued - even after manual reinstal of driver - I see this device still like my HTC. Thing there is some more sub driver which was not rewrite or something

Já mám Windows 7 Ultimate. Zkontroluj si kam jsi zapojil USB. Na 3.0 (modrá) to nejde a u mě ještě na červených USB to nevím co je za tip. Vypni mobil a připoj k pc a bez problémů by se měl nahrát ovladač.
Pak pokračuj podle návodu.
Mě to bez problému funguje.

Takže problém byl asi opravdu v kombinaci SW a vhodného USB...
Z pracovních důvodů jsem byl donucen reinstalovat system = věděl jsem přesně kterou variantu driveru tam mám...
Vynechal jsem USB 3.0 a moje žluté USB (Olways power on) a na oněch dvou 2.0 to funguje.
Asi jsem v prvním kole nepochopil, že po kroku download a YES - se musí zařízení zapnout a vypnout...(ani v jednom z popisů jsem to neviděl)
Takže na základě vašich rad se mi podařilo vše zprovoznit tak jak to má být
Ještě jednou děkuju za radu - tím že to bude i portem USB by mě nenapadlo.

Je v poradku, že mi Win8 rozpozná zariadenie ako "MT68** Preloader" nie ako "MediaTek", ako je uvedené v návode? Nemôžem sa prepracovať k "

Jako "MT6577 Preloader" ti ho pozná když ho připojíš vypnutý, umožňuje to přístup do systémový části paměti.
MediaTek je to při připojení v zapnutým stavu, dostaneš se do uživatelský paměti, mass storage atd.
Je to myslim i u jiných mobilů s tímhle procesorem.

Hello guys, how is it going?
Like 2 weeks ago, a friend gave me a Xperia X10i asking for a help on fixing it, it's from someone else and no one knows how the phone got "broke/bricked".
- First time I grab phone and press power button a red led blinked 3 times, several tries and phone sometimes just gave one red blink, other times 3, so I plugged it to charger all night.
- Next day, pulled out battery and tried again, the phone blinks green light once and vibrate for a half second, then nothing. Had to pull battery out and in again and press power button and same situation.
- Computer detects phone and ask drivers, this happens if I plug it with or without back key pessed for flashmode.
What I've tried:
- Installed PC Companion and tried a software update, program notifys me that my phone already have the lattes firmware.
- Installed SEUS and it ask me to turn phone on to update it, which is not possible at the moment.
- Tried a DOS+Java flasher with another firmware and it hangs on process (tried changing Java versions on PC, tried with 3 different OSs, 32 and 64 bits).
- Installed Flashtool and tried to flash but hangs on process too (tested 0.2 and 0.9 versions with diferent roms/kernels/java versions).
Phone still the same, once I press power button for turning on, green light blinks once and vibrate for a half second.
I up to to start all over, fresh windows/linux install (tell me which version), what java and other software versions you tell me are the best.
I've been reading over here and over there but seems that I'm missing something, or must of the times the links are dead, and can't get the decent roms and stuff.

I don't know what exactly happened to the phone but I think the owner has been removed some parts of software (like kernel or rom)
Do these:
1-put a sdcard in phone & try booting up(some custom kernels won't bootup without sdcard)
2-connect charger & try booting when charger is connected
#if these steps doesn't work it means it's 99/99% a software problem,so we need to reflash stock frimware:
1-download flashtools app (not latest! New versions doesn't include x10i drivers! )
2-Install it
3-download stock frimware from the net
4-go to wherever you installed flashtools& open frimware folder, paste downloaded frimware there (in ftf format, if not rename it!)
5-in the flashtool folder now open drivers folder, open & install "Gordon's gate" app then run it,
6- now open flash tools, click on lightning button & press flashmode.
7-select frimware & press next
After a while you'll be asked for attaching phone so hold back button & connect USB cable.
*You're done
#if asked for drivers ,extract the x10i's driver.zip & install like other devices (drivers are for flashmode)
Sent for xda via tapatalk

Thanks for the answer, I'll give a try when reach home, all my attempts were without SIM card on it, so maybe I got luck there, thanks again.
Same results with SIM card on it, folled your step by step too.
The far I coud go was with flashtool-0.9.10.1-windows stucks on reading device info, and FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec stucks on flashing kernel.sin, it's hard to make it flash as it's like I plug phone on flashmode, it disconnects and connects again in an eye blink and flash gets aborted.
Tested on Windows 7 x64/Java 7u21 and on Windows XP x86/Java 6/u20 on same Desktop PC
Also tryied to flash some stock based kernel and CM10 custom firmware but same results.
Is there any special version for flashtool for X10i?
Maybe my drivers are bad but I have installed the ggsetup-2.2.0.11 and Windows detects phone fine.

Maybe my PC Companion version is not the right one (seems like I got lattest, it's the 2.10.136, downloaded from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/), I've read on other threads that PC Companion has a repair function, I navigate inside Support Zone and can only see Phone Software Update, Xperia Care and recycle phone, software update just tells me that my phone already has the lattest firmware and other 2 options brings a web page up, I can't see a repair option there =/
Did any of you guys have an older PC Companion setup file to share?

1-Do you hold "back " button till progress finish?
2-try drivers inside flashtools app (in "drivers" folder )
+make sure battery is at least 10% charged cause sometimes USB won't charge phone correctly

Thanks, I didn't realized that the behaviour of the software was different if phone was plugged or not to the PC, the repair function only shows up if phone is unplugged... Sorry again.
Now that I can go throught the repair menu, after select the phone model the software reports "There's no software available for your device", maybe the server is down at the moment, I've tried different models and all gives me the same report, I'll give a try with some USA proxy.

Already tryed all that except that I can't see the battery level as screen never turns on, but I've left the phone several nights and at the morning tryed flashing and same results, it seems to be charged as when I've recived the phone it wont try to turn on, it was only blinking red lights.
I'll try to contact SE support tomorrow, to see if they can send me the files as the software stills reporting that there are no sofware to download for my device (I'm trying every day).

impossible to keep the fastboot mode!
after turned off the phone, pressed the button up, connect the cable to the PC at the same time => The blue LED lights but after 2 seconds it will turn off and the Sony logo appears
I tried again quite a few times but still the same result
tried on rom costums and also the stock jb .100
any help is welcome

Fastboot drivers installed(from flash tool or ither)?
What is your Windows version?
EDIT: for IDK what reason it's not recommended that you post your IMEI.... erase it
for the drivers, i install them from flashtool and abd installer!! all work fine... ( i supose :/ )

Did you install fastboot and fash mode driver from flashtool(at the bottom of the list)
Before you try to unlock or flash, just leave flashtoll open and connect in fastboot mode, if all is ok it will show in dlashtool window.

I have no issue at all... Just follow the instruction on how to install and make sure you have install the driver as well... I have problem before but that solo on my mistake... supposed vol + i press vol -... Hope this help u.

1 install flashtool's dirvers.
2 power off the phone
3 press + first
4 then connect it to PC
5 first time it may fail, after PC load the dirvers completly it will be work!

Hi, I happen to have the same phone and something similar happened to me but with a CM12.1 Moke rom, the phone was working fine but it turned off twice randomly, I connected it to the wallcharger and the PC but nothing happened, the 5 USB units appeared too on my computer so I had to keep the power button pressed for 10 seconds to force a reboot and the system loaded fine, though I went back to another CM12.1 rom. Try doing that, keep the power button pressed for 10 seconds and see if that forces a reboot.

- Download the DiskGenius
- connect the phone to a computer via USB (best to use the connector on the rear panel, and even better to use a laptop, there is the battery and if the lights go out, you are protected)

Hi,
Accidentally, I wiped all data of TCL m3g and somehow, I managed to bring the phone alive. But it seems like qcn file is totally corrupted and phone networks are no more identified. IMEI, ESN & MEID are all zeroes now.
Can any body provide .qcn file of TCL m3g?

To restart your device you have to hold the power button + volume down button for 30-45 seconds.
It will restarts automatically...

The same thing for me. I can´t connect to any network. Tried different cards.

after deleting partition sbl1 how to save the changes diskgenius is asking for licence
My phone is totally bricked after I deleted the partition and saved. Now it is not turning on, no bootloader or recovery or anything. Only the LED light turns on when I connect to charger or USB. Not detected in devise manager either. Please help.
I get my phone bach to life by flashing the emax mini files. But now i didn't get any network. Please post the qcn file for the TCL.

first you have to download your stock rom
than you can get into download mode by holding volume down button + power button for a while apx 35 to 60 seconds, As soon as getting vibration hold volume up button by holding them both....

Fastboot is working?

Fastboot not,
when i connect phone to pc there is only sound of windows ( alert of new device , mass storage ) but there is no any other windows information , MY PC dosent see phone and SD Card

not showing in device manager , its like ghost mode , only sound from Windows playing Device Connect Sound thats all

I have the same problem on my Mate 10 Lite, after flashing firmware i have a black screen and when i connect phone to pc it shows me "fastboot 2.0" and i can working with fastboot.
Reset of the phone is working too because when is connected to computer and i`m pushing power+vol up windows is showing reconnected but when reset is finished still is in fastboot mode but i don`t see it on screen because is black.
Can i do something with that ? Maybe huawei service is needed? My phone is dead and still has warranty - i think…..

I listened about dc phoenix, but it cost money for flash firmware with and without bootloader unlocked, it cost 15 euros for 72 hours after the initial flashing, maybe it works or no, i don't know exactly but good luck if you test it!
Ok phone back to me from huawei client center and has replaced battery with screen and mainboard….. has a new imei and its a new mate 10 lite.
At this time i have only rooted system and trwp recovery installed.
And i`m waiting for roms to flash by twrp.

I have a chinese tablet that is stuck on a boot screen, so i found the firmware to reflash, i am using livesuit, but i can't get it to flash, it says on a tutorial that i firstly press volume up button, then plug in the micro usb cable that's connected to my pc and then press the power button 10 times while still holding the volume up button, but instead of livesuit showing me a message if i want to format and reflash it doesn't detect it, and the tablet turns on and shows recovery mode, fastboot, and normal mode, windows detects tablet a few times in the meantime, what's wrong?
