[MOD][XPOSED] Smart Alarm Icon [1.2][HTC/Samsung 4.0.3+] - Xposed Framework Modules

New Xposed Mod: Smart Alarm Icon
This mod will change the alarm icon in status bar to be only displayed for a configurable time before alarm will go off. This for example will remove the icon on Friday and Saturday if the alarm is scheduled for working days only. The threshold for when the icon gets shown is configurable via UI.
=> This makes the alarm icon more valuable again, since if shown permanently one gets used to it quite fast.
Limitations
Works on HTC and Samsung stock-based ROMs version 4.0.3 and higher (permanently hides the icon on other devices)
You MUST accept that you use any modification at your own risk
If you want to try it, follow these steps:
If not done yet or included in your custom ROM, install the Xposed framework as described in this thread (requires root)
Install the attached APK and activate the module in the Xposed installer (this is also described in the framework thread)
Reboot
To change settings, tap on the module in Xposed installer
ChangeLog
Code:
[B]1.2[/B]
- Samsung ROMs now fully supported
[B]1.1[/B] (392 dloads)
- Preferences now include "show never" (slider left) and "show always" (slider right)

Probably yes. I don't have my hands on any AT&T/Rogers ROM, on which NFC icon it is reported to show up. Furthermore, I'm not using NFC at all, so I'm afraid it makes no sense for me modding this. I suggest keeping an eye on trixx's TrickDroid thread, his ROM at least supports AT&T models - maybe he's willing to include this at some point

Dev edition, stock but rooted. With the Xposed framework now, I find I can get the tweaks/mods I want without even needing a different ROM.

1.29 rogers stock Rom here and everything is perfect. Xposed is so good it's almost sexual...

Cool thanks man being waiting for someone to get rid of that works great

Thanks, working fine on TrickDroid 5.3.0

Thanks!
Dude. I didn't bother looking around to see if anybody had tried this on a GS3 (yeah I know wrong thread) but this is awesome. I absolutely HATE the stupid icon up there all frackin day when my alarm isn't until the morning. So far works great on my sprint GS3. Thanks!

Beautiful.

Has work great on my note 2, but really it should work on any device as long as you have xposed installed. Would be great to hide other icons as well.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app

Works fine here too. Thanks!

it works partially for me on my note 2.
hiding permanently works.
but if I set the icon to be visible again it stays hidden.
is there a delay in this, or is it a bug?
it's not a disaster if it's a bug though, I wanted the icon gone permanently anyway.

Thanks for your feedback. I updated to v1.2, which fully support Samsung ROMs now. v1.1 had the limitation that threshold was only working on HTC ROMs. On none-HTC/Samsung ROMs it will keep on hiding the icon permanently.

it's working perfectly now.

I have been searching high and low to get rid of that icon on JB. Thank you for freeing up some space on my status bar!

Tested on Nexus 4 and it works perfectly, Running vanilla Android 4.2.2, so it's not just limited to Samsung/HTC roms it seems.:good:

Thank you for this information. Wondering which clock app is installed / comes shipped on your device? Since only HTC and Samsung alarm settings and changes are handled, it should only hide (not auto-show) the icon on vanilla ROMs.

[MOd][Xposed]Xdual Statusclock

Now with "working" Lollipop!!!
This mode shows a second clock of a chosen timezone in your status bar. So if you are far from home or always need to know the hour on the other side of the world, you can use this mod. I made this being on an exchange semester and wanting to easily see the time at home.
It only has very basic functionality but I wanted to share it anyways. I am thinking about adding more features like custom layout for the clock, custom offset....
Currently I do not have much spare time to work an the mod but I will try my best to keep up. So if you find any bugs or glitches, please let me know.

Of course you need to have installed the XPosed framework to have this mod working. You can find the mod in the Xposed Repo or attached to this post.
Changelog:
26.July 2015 - Added support for Lollipop 5.0
26.Nov 2013 - Added support for 12-hour format
24.Nov 2013 - Added manual DST support and choosable divider between the clocks
21.Nov 2013 - Initial release

@Jukka666
what about adding a countdown or rather time left to the next Alarm ? Would that be possible?
If not using the Android alarm clock which would be the best as far as Wake Locks go. Maybe something custom?
Adding really some timers (maybe how much work left)
I have bought 3 or 4 Alarm clocks and none has that functionality. Only in Notification Panel.
Having this in the Status Bar right next to the clock would be AWESOME.
(Stopwatch is maybe farfetched, and timer maybe not needed) I hope you understand what I mean.
Something like
oCurrent time is 14:14
Next Alarm is at 20:00
In status bar would be 14:14/>06:46
Maybe some icon showing the Alarm etc . Or maybe really just something simple and static. 14:14/20:00
These are just a suggestions NOT REQUEST's. (Sorry for the caps, but many wannabe Moderators/Recognized..."some nasty" words, are allergic to any suggestion and start crying about some new idea)
Thanks for the mod !

That is an interesting idea, worth thinking about.
What comes up my mind: Just plain text counting down to your next calendar event (or your custom set time of the day when you finish work) in form of "current time"|"time left" 12:08|00:52. I am not really into building Android apps, thats the first step I took, so im only guessing that this could use a serious amount of system power, since the status bar is refreshed quiet often... but when I find some time, I will look into it.

That's already more that I hoped for . Thanks even for considering.
Maybe the static time to the next event, not a countdown or timer. Just that you can set a static time. Or it will display as you said the time of the next Alarm/Event. Really doesn't have to be a countdown.
Thinking that might be less of a strain for PC and maybe you. As said just suggestions . Maybe this even exists somewhere.
But seriously I would love more to see the time of my next alarm more as the stupid Alarm Clock Icon .
Again thanks and I do not mind if this leads nowhere, if it does even better.

For center clock, you should try XBlast tools, as I am not doing an all-in-one module.
I will look into the date-thing, this could be easy to implement. Also the mod should work on kitkat if you got your xposed working.

Updated to 1.1. Update should be awailable in the xposed installer.
If you check the DST option, the second clock will show an hour later. Thats if the other place you want to show uses Daylight Saving Time.
Also you can now choose different seperation symbols between the two clocks.

Does it change nothing in the status bar or does the app with the settings not work? Did you reboot? Module activated in XPosed?
Are you running a stock Samsung Rom? Maybe they use a different method then AOSP, so my hook wont work.
Can you add an option to enable/disable 24 hour mode of the clock (for home clock) ?

I guess it does not work becouse of touchwiz... I am sorry, but currently I don´t have the time to add support for a different Rom type. Maybe you can ask here if he can add this function. It is not to much effort and if he needs, I can provide him with my code.
Again sorry!
Hi, thanks for your fast response !
Maybe option to enable small/capital am/pm AM/PM, or show none (am/pm) at all, just the clock (eg. 7:00)
What do you think?
Thanks in advance! Would glad to test out your new build asap
it looks nice with Wanam Xposed center clock. but here I use 24 hour because currently xdual clock is only in 24 hour, hence my request

[Request][Xposed] Module to Move the Nav Buttons to Left or Right

I don't know if there's anything out like this for Xposed (have searched for the past 10 minutes and have found nothing) and my requests to the ROM devs haven't panned out. I would like to have an Xposed module that will allow me to move the navigation buttons to the left or right side of the nav bar. It's been implemented in certain ROMs, so I know it's possible, but I don't know how to make modules, so I hope someone who has some experience could help.
Thanks!
I would like to second that request!
Also how about moving the clock and notifications to the bottom like it was on JB?
Getting this to work as an Xposed module has complications. It should be easy enough to achieve on stock-ish ROMs, but ROMs which have nav bar customisations is harder to achieve considering that there are quite a few ways different ROM approach nav bar customisations.
Thankfully there's Thunderkat, which I'm currently running. But it would be nice fore there to be something out there for the masses who choose a different ROM that it might be compatible with.
I was thinking having the bar on the right side while in landscape so the bar has not moved when changing orientation, like what occurs in mobile phones.
Having a nexus 7 I havent managed to stay on kitkat as I can't stand the mobile phone layout, using PA in tablet mode to have both bars combined, now tablet ui is removed in KK I'm trying to find a rom that has a practical layout for my thumb.
Tried thundercat and it has the option of having navi controls on either side which is great but I cant stop to think that the bar is wasting space as you only need an inch of it, while you have a notification pane that could be on the other side.
I will have to find a way to have the bar like on mobile devices.
I would like this as well. I miss my old Asus TF 'layout ' they had something similar with the notifications on the right side instead of above.
Someone on the Kindle fire was attempting to port TabletUI to KK, but I haven't checked in on development in a while.

I requested the same thing in the xposed request thread and got no love. maybe you should ask there, too. squeaky wheel gets the grease?
Throwing my hat into this request too... I hate the way Android handles tablet UI these days, I really miss having the navigation near my hand when on landscape, but would like to continue using stock android with xposed instead of flashing a ROM, is this viable via Xposed?

Material Status Bar Beta

Hi everybody
I'm intoducing Material Status Bar !!!!
This is a fork of Tinted Status Bar, which aim at making your device look like Lollipop on JB byt coloring the status bar according to the toolbar. The difference between Tinted and Material is that this latter colors the status bar with a darker shade of the toolbar (like Lollipop does).
Another goal of this fork is to support AppCompat Toolbar. I searched for several days and couldn't get it. But I'll keep on trying

This is a fork of it which means that for the moment it is really similar. It features the same features and detection, only the status bar is darkened. Later I plan to support appcompat toolbar.
This is not meant for lollipop unlike lollistat

Now it works! Obviously only with action bar, in automatic detection. With the manual setting it works with every app.
Apparently Flat Style Colored Status Bar managed to detect Toolbar color, but he said he spent a week to do so so I don't think he would accept o explain to me how he did. At least I know it must be possible
Anyway, I'm glad it works
It works also on my xperia z1 now, with 2 bugs
1) it does not respect the operating system auto tinting: it will keep the status and action bar black even when the system default would be transparent (home screen, as well as system apps like music or album)
2) the battery icon seems to be not tintable, it will be always white.
I have screenshots for these 2 bugs

[MOD][XPOSED] Battery Percentage Text

This module for Android Lollipop/Marshmallow (5.x.x/6.x.x) adds the current battery percentage to the lock screen, notification shade header, and status bar. The app includes options for enabling or disabling the injected text, changing the position of the text relative to the battery icon, and changing the appearance of the text.
Note that this has not been tested on Nougat (7.x.x). As of Oreo (8.x.x), this module is no longer needed, as the battery percentage text is now properly shown alongside the battery icon when enabled in the System UI Tuner.
Xposed Module Repository
thanks for this module. it is possible to add an option so we can see the battery percentage text on the right side of the battery icon?
Not working on CM 12.1. I'd be happy to test out any test releases to get this working. This is something I miss from KitKat.
Thank you so much man @Extrinsic. It has puzzled me to no ends why there was no decent module for this very specific purpose. This is such neat & useful module. Cheers ??

Nexus 5 stock 6.0.1 work OK
it seems that font size is smaller at status bar than at lock screen, don't it?
This absolutely genius module no longer works on most ROMs it used to. Probably due to framework changes in AOSP.
Can you kindly update it to work with current AOSP ROMs?
Plus, it never worked on any CM-based ROMs due to their customization.
Thank you so much.
New version (v1.1):
- Added support for unexpanded notification shade header
- Added options for customizing positions and font sizes
- Allowed injected text to receive alpha channel and color changes made to status bar elements
- Fixed compatibility issues with some AOSP and CyanogenMod-based ROMs

I've tested it so far on the 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 Google stock ROMs, CyanogenMod 13 (6.0.1), and Pure Nexus (6.0.1). Hopefully, it should work with most near-stock ROMs now.
This is an amazing module, I am loving it, thank you for doing it. It works great with the latest update in my Moto G 3rd Generation (2015) with stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It would be nice to have an option to hide the app from the launcher, as many modules have, and It would be nice to have more text sizes, or a configurable text size bar. Anyway, it is awesome, keep the good work!

[APP] Second Screen Status Bar

NOTE: ALPHA PHASE HAS FINISHED.
If anyone wants to continue using this app which is going to be pro only for the moment, contact me (tg group and channel)
THIS PROJECT IS BEING UPDATED AND SUPPORTED AND I DON'T PLAN TO ABANDON IT.
If you ever wanted to have a working status bar in the second screen in a stock ROM, this is the thread you were looking for.
I have coded a widget for the second screen that replaces what the stock status bar does (and even more perhaps).
It has been months of coding.
As always, you have to install the app and open second screen settings and enable the widget.
If you want to hide the status bar, there are several ways. I do it using an xposed app to change status bar height. If you don't want to use xposed, you will have to go the long way of modding system. I may do it some day when I finish coding but there is a lot of stuff in my to-do list.
Don't forget to use the settings option to set some of the available features in this release.
If you find any bugs, I will need a log (logcat) with both log settings enabled. I will try to fix any bugs.
Check the attached screenshots!

I have not been trying much how to hide the status bar as I need time to code the app but afaik that can't be done because it will mess full screen apps (and maybe the notifications pull down because it's not drawn below the status bar but over it). Let me know if I'm wrong or if you know how to make it work correctly. Thanks
If you use any app that changes its notification icon, like a battery meter app, speedmeter app, weather app, etc, you will see the icon does not get updated. This is because I tried to optimize everything as much as possible so the app is coded to get the icon just once. The PRO version, if it ever gets to be released (depending on the interest of the users), will have some code to handle those apps which very little battery drain (which actually depends on how buggy or optimized is the notification posting from the app).
In the tg channel there is a video showing it.
@Daved+ tested works fine, thanks for this. I'm glad that it doesn't go away suddenly like previous solutions. I'm interested in buying pro version, jus need to figure out a way to disable the status bar without going the Xposed way. Tried Nova launcher hide option, it takes away the second screen as well, so no luck yet.
Edit: quote op correctly
Working great on my unlocked US996.
Would love to have single line height rather than stacked. Too cluttered with two lines of icons for my taste.
Thanks!

AFAIK you have to patch system to change the height of the status bar (you have to use apktool to decompile and compile).

Great to hear it works in different models. I can do other layouts, I have several ideas, this one was to use the second screen as much as possible to make the screen look bigger so no empty spaces in the corners. If you want, let me know your ideas, but I also need support to continue development.
I don't seem to be getting all of my notifications. Things like facebook messenger dont show up.
Spelling mistake on : Only show top 6,Hide headphones if HIFI is on.

If you are having any problems with notifications, contact me thru pm or three dot menu in the app. Also please do the same for the paid version.
For those who wanted just a single line of notifications

How do I get this? I installed the apk in the OP, but I don't see this option. Under the "notifications" section, it has "Show" and then "Only show top 6".

I still don't have a number as I don't know how many people will buy it but for the moment you can donate and get the beta pro version.
Think there's a way to replace the default screen Date & Time Screen-Off Widget with yours when the main screen is off?
In the past, I have resorted to using battery percentage apps to get realtime charge levels during screen-off. I'd love to streamline that, using your app; which clearly has the potential to replace the default widgets.
