the difference is its lite and more customization and yes you can use any other jb 4.2 kernel..fusion 5.5 is provided!
So I just tried it! And I agree, it is super snappy!
But actually for me the settings are just too full! Only English as language is also a little bit poor..
I just did a short five minute test and it actually looks good. It's not my taste, I prefer the simplicity of stock CM ;D
Nevertheless thank you very much! The more ROMs we have, the better ;D

I tried to make S2E work on this but it failed. There are versions compatible with JB 4.2.2. I flashed S2E and also sd-mount script. ext-sd was mounted on boot and I checked move data from S2E and rebooted. The data was never moved to sd-ext as expected. It is working with Super Jelly Bean v4 ROM flawlessly.

its just for u guys to experience new roms..and carbon has stock languages..btw bluetooth is a cm10.1 bug!
OK, testing Carbon rom now (didn't boot with 3.0.8-nAa-03 kernel, fusion 5.5 is OK) :good:

@andrekas detail, will be done later, for now it's just a number does not affect any feature
edit: patch has been updated
- Camera image is flipped upside down on Neo even after the patch
- Camera interface is a bit laggy
- Camera max resolution is 5mpx
Looks like the Neo patch needs fixing but otherwise a superb job. The rom is blazing fast and fluid.

Yes same here. Flipped picture is fixed but the maximum picture resolution is still 5mpx. We can't choose video recording resolution also.

Because aosp camera is very simple (chooses settings itself), download other advanced camera from market if you wanna extra settings.
I am gonna try to add other cam app to my sources. the cm9 one has more buns I think. That will need to mod framework for new features. Gimme some time, it is worth to have AOSP, cleaner and faster - I don't want the rubbish code like now in CM

I definitely agree with you this is definitely smoother and more feature full than cm9 for our phones this brakes my heart I was always big cyanogenmod fan since the firs time i installed cm7 on my sgs.

AOKP is an awesome custom Android firmware. (just like MIUI and CyanogenMod).

I intstalled it on sola, Lot's of bugs first and last is with sound which is buggy, laggy, and sometimes unplayable
Laggy and buggy sound make phone's untouchable for at least 20 sec which is not good on calling someone or someone calling you.
Lowering sounds to vibrates make the phone even more untouchable )
Movies not showing anything (funny sounds flickering much much more and time is going so slowly)!
it's a bit of laggy... yeah... maybe it's still on alpha state...
Bugs :-
1) crackling noise when playing sound be it message tone or incoming ring tone
2) Apollo Player doesnt detect songs from External SD card
3) PC doesn't detect external SD card

HOW TO BUILD SlimBean:
1) Set up your build Enviroment (this is a useful guide)
2) Create a new folder(mkdir "nameOfTheFolder") then go into the folder(cd "nameOfTheFolder")
3) repo init -u git://github.com/XperiaSlim/platform_manifest.git -b jb
4) repo sync
5) . build/envsetup.sh
6) brunch kumquat
7) wait the end of the build process and go in out/target/product/kumquat and you'll find the zip to flash

I have 512kbps connection , so if we consider 40-50 KB/s upload rate it will take about 1 h (133 MB initial size). currently 35% uploaded.
i've been developed this ROM before, but good job sir! you fixed all of CM/Slimbean bugs

Yep,i know,but i cant report over 25000 + of slim ports. I also made a slimbean 3.1.0 port for xp in june,but then the thread got closed.
As soon as i get time,i'll try to build carbon 4.4 after xperiau for xsola:highfive:
But anyway, its flying...

you should wait cause it isn't pure Slimbean , I haave made new slimbean only 90 MB thanks to itachilinux. so wait.

open camera,go to settings and choose 1280x720p..but that is just a waste of memory..we dont have camera libs to have 720p..its a placebo effect..fps on recording are the same than 480p kernel..so you lose 30 mb free ram..for nothing.:good:

well it depends surely on kernel..rom is clean but you can try this settings on cpu:
1209max 249min intellidemand /smartass v2 on SIO/NOOP. let the rom settle for a day at least and make a full charge..then see if the battery performs better.

you must have unlocked bootloader first..and if you have you flash a custom kernel wich already prerooted...
