Root the phone with CF-Root 6.4, so you have CWM, then use triangle away and the megawipe zip file on CWM, then install a stock rom.
You should be then 100 Stock with binary counter on 0

Unroot Samsung Galaxy SII to stock

Phone: Samsung I9100 Galaxy SII
Network: 3 UK - also known as Hutchison 3G (H3G)
Hi there,
A few months ago I rooted my phone using Odin3 v1.85 and CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5 downloaded from here. It automatically installed SUper
However I want to un-root it now and send it back to Samsung to fix a niggling hardware problem. I have my USB cable. I tried to search the existing threads in the forum with no luck.
Can anyone tell me how I can unroot my phone?
Thank you in advance.
try here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
download any suitable rom (any would be OK, but try to found one that is from a nearby location) and flash it through odin. after that if anything is not working properly, flash it again.
try to format data, cache dalvik and /system before flashing it through ODIN
flash ur stock rom and ur root will be gone
or also u can unroot it by using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
Don't forget to reset custum binary download counter.
So use triangle away at first.
Thank you for all your replies.
I may add, only a few days ago Samsung released an update for the phone (this was done using Samsung Kies). Since then, I am not able to root access my phone (i.e. when I try to use Triangle Away or SuperSU it says "there is no su binary installed")
Does this mean I need to re-root the phone and then un-root it afterwards? Because I can't use Triangle Away to reset flash/binary counter.

I have. It was rooted properly before but after I installed the update about a week ago, it has removed root access from my phone. Do I need to re-root it then, before un-rooting it?

Updates from Kies remove root. Root it again, reset with Triangle Away. Into recovery, wipe data and cache. Fomat /system to remove cf root left overs. Flash stock Rom from your country in Odin. Make sure Kies recognizes the flashed Rom as local

Ffs use the search and read the necessary information, I see the same questions time after time all because people can't be bothered to look for themselves, the galaxy S2 is the easiest phone in the world for rooting, un rooting and flashing custom roms, if you can't be bothered to learn the basics then I can't be bothered to help you (rant over)

well u have a lot of guide in the xda
recommended this to do
make a efs backup before first use efs pro or k tool
if u want to install a custom rom from recovery
go to recovery wipe data / cacche
then install from sd select the file and ur done
if u want to specifiaclly format it then u have option for that in mounts and storage but after that make sure u flash a rom in recovery
NEXT TIME PLEASE USE THE SEARCH OPTION

2. After rooting, download triangle away by chainfire here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

4. PLEASE READ THIS:
a. Your firmware contains super brick bug on its stock kernel. To learn more about this bug, visit here : forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756242
b. After rooting please don't wipe anything or attempt ROM backup in CWM recovery, until you first flash a custom kernel.
c. If you have plans to wipe anything, or flash another ROM, please flash a custom kernel first.
d. Siyah kernel, Speedmod, dream Neak and Dorimanx kernels are known safe kernels, that are compatible with your firmware.
f. I'll advise you to flash a custom kernel immediately after rooting your phone to ensure 100% safety.
Please take this, very seriously.

Ok. I seriously to know why this method has failed for you.
No problem, try this.
To gain ROOT access,
1. Download Siyah kernel (.tar version): www.gokhanmoral.com/
2. Flash Siyah kernel via Odin
To remove yellow triangle and reset your binary counter:
1. Download triangle away app ( i already posted the link)
2. Read the instructions
3. Run triangle away app.
Very simple

i dont no why ur so much worried about the 'Yellow Triangle' thing as if it will simply Gobble ur phone, its quite common to have that yellow triangle once u root ur phone, which all of us have gone thro' already.
Also removed that yellow triangle successfully with the 'Triangle Away' app for sure ma8, so no need to worry.
go ahead and root ur phone using the .tar file of siyah kernel v4.1.4 and then use 'Triangle Away' app to remove the Yellow Triangle

its ok buddy, its quite common human nature of people getting annoyed since they trying to help u and urn't taking there advice properly in the first place
now brief me a bit, like for the first time when u tried to root ur phone with the CF-root kernel u mentioned in OP , what procedure u adopted
im not sure if this is why i got the yellow triangle problem but what i did was i accidently downloaded a wrong firmware model and i flash it.after i flash it i keep getting this yellow triangle.
oh ya about how i tried to root my phone with cf-root
1.i downloaded the XXLQ5 cf-root.
2.i downloaded odin and flash my phone with the cf root.
3.after the odin software said pass! i took out the usb cable.it started to reset my phone but i got stuck where it said "samsung s2 gt-i9100 with a yellow triangle down the text".
4.i have to flash a xxki3 kernel then flash the ics/gingerbread firmware model(exp.ics 4.0.4/gb2.3.5 any model will do.) to make my phone back to normal.
so basically i cant get pass the yellow triangle everytime i tried to flash something.

if i install roms via CWM it add binary counting?

guys,
if i install roms via CWM it add binary counting?
same question about Odin...
plz suggest...
Somehow i have now 1 counted already
Using CWM won't increase your binary counter, but using Odin will :
Counter is increased each time you flash something (ROM, kernel, ...) using download mode (and Odin). As CWM is in recovery mode, it won't increase binary counter.
If you want to reset your counter, you can use TriangleAway ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114 ), but it's a highly unrecommended operation if you don't plan to return your phone for warranty.

Binary counter only increases if you change the recovery image or kernel image using odin.
Use odin to add cwm... Then use triangle away to reset your counter and then always flash via cwm... Your counter will stay at 0

I don't really care about the binary count. Although it is a good practice to keep it at zero, in case your phone breaks and you have to return for warranty.

Don that and no change
Check in recovery that your efs folder is mounted. If that partition is damaged then recent stock rom will not pass bootloader stage.
Edit, don't use cf root for recovery -it's well out of date and includes SDS risk. Instead flash philz recovery using Odin.

Read general > sticky roll-up thread > imei / efs
