So according to Drop Box AT&T opted out of the free 25GB storage for One users... - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Verizon as well. What i'd like to know is if I were to flash a rom to my One would I be able to get the free 25GB? Also if I get the free 25GB would I be able to restore to a back up before I flashed the rom and still keep the 25GB? I've read this for the One X but I just want to know if it applies to us too.

Only if you haven't recieved this promo before on another HTC device, unless you use a different dropbox account to receive it.

flashing ARHD and logging in to my dropbox account during the initial setup did the trick for me. I am also on At&t.

I flashed cognition on my phone(I was logged on to drop box when I flashed cognition). I logged off of DB just now and logged back in but no 25gigs. It's it supposed to pop up or am I supposed to do something?

That shouldn't be the case. I got the same deal on my GS3 but got the 25GB using an international rom on my One.
So much cloud space I have. lol I have I think 80GB in total on drop box.
On Box I got 50GB for life (Signed up when they first started)
and on Copy I have 67GB for life (I got 5GB for signing up, 12GB for referring people and since I write for Land Of technology Copy gave us all 50GB free lifetime storage)
Not to mention my google drive storage. lol

That's what their site says, but I did all the steps and it still worked for me. Still stock when I did it.

I've never gotten any promo before. Besides when I had my G1 years ago, this is my only other android device. I've only had iPhones.

I thought you'd get the promo with any international ROM

I bought the One x last year and got the 25 gb promo for two years. I got that phone on MAY 5 2012. Dropbox sent me an email in NOVEMBER saying my promotional storage was going to expire in 30 days (Dec. 31) unless I chose to pay to keep it. I emailed them back a very stern response and I still have my space and my data is still syncing. The nerve of those people! Welching on a deal...

Labas! Kaip sekasi? Any time is good to use my limited Lithuanian skills
For me it depends on what ends up happening to the USA version...if they make changes to it I will either have to buy an international version or wait for something else.
As myliu Lietuva I plan to visit it soon.

For me using unlimited dumbphone data for half the price on the international version easily outweighs getting a subbed phone on 2 gigs a month.
Where's the option for "I'm waiting for the price to drop in a few months"?

You can use the $15 non smartphone unlimited data plan with the international version. This will work because at&t won't have the imei of the international version in their system. Obviously don't tell this to at&t, just say you have a dumb phone and need to use data with it. They will ask the imei of the dumbphone, just give the sgs3 imei.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Does that really work? I mean it would be easy to buy any cheap international phone and give that imei and save a lot of money in data plans. Somehow I think they will notice the high data usage. Just sounds too good.

Yes, I am using the i9100 on the non smartphone data plan. I gave AT&T the imei of my old Moto V180 and it shows up when I log in onto my AT&T account. I hope it stays like this forever but in reality, I believe it's only a matter of time before AT&T catches on
15 dollars for unlimited data, or combine with 20 dollar unlimited texting + 10 unlimited data it's not bad either. I burn through 5-6 gigs of month and have been for the past 8 months since I bought the i9100.
Check it out, here are a list of phones that work on AT&T.

Family Plans will be forced to use new data share plans?

Before everyone flips out on me... give me a second. So I told my dad he was going to lose his unlimited data if he didn't upgrade his phone by today. Which of course he ends up waiting until today to do. Come to find out that he had to upgrade before today in order to keep his unlimited data. We are on a family share plan and only me and my dad have unlimited data, but my brother and sister, who are also on it, have the 2GB data cap.
So I told him to try to transfer his upgrade to one of them and get the subsidized price and just upgrade it on his line. So he tries to pre-order the SGSIII on my brother's line and this pops up.
"The existing plan Nationwide Account Level Talk & Text Family Share 2000, is not compatible with the new device." So it either chooses new individual plan or new share voice and data plan.
What's confusing though is that under smartphone data packages, it doesn't have the new family data plan pricing. It still has 2 GB for $30, 5GB for $50, and 10GB for $80 and under plan shares summary on the left side where the totals are, it does say "Nationwide Account Level Talk & Text Family Share 2000". So I'm confused as F*CK right now and I want my dad to keep his unlimited for at least another 2 years, but I also don't want to lose mine and get screwed over with this new family data share plan. Not to mention that fact that I'm not sure whether they are actually forcing us into this new data share plan or not.
Thoughts? Can anyone who has a family plan with an upgrade vouch?
There is no more grandfathering it on on subsidized phones. You have to purchase the phone out right to keep unlimited now. No upgrading from 3G to 4G and keeping unlimited either I believe.
Put him on an individual account and then merge the two later on. The account change probably wouldnt happen til you activated the phone on your brothers account any ways...They effed up my rezound upgrade/account and that happened. Easy fix :3
Edit: that may not work due to their crap share accounts...

Also, I would like to add that if the family data share plans aren't forced there should be no reason why an unlimited data line couldn't transfer their upgrade to a 2 GB plan. Have that person upgrade and upgrade the line on the unlimited person's line. Herego unlimited data being kept with an unsubsidized Price.

So you decided to go for it too.
I pre-ordered mine back when we where talking on the mik.
I don't even really want the thing, I absolutely LOVE my rezounds but I figured I might as well grab the last subsidized phone available.
Op simple fix. If it isn't broken don't fix it! People really need to stop buying new phones. If you have unlimited, on any plan/network/phone please don't upgrade.
And I also agree with the screen being way to big and hassle.
Not to be off point here... But my HTCG2 ....grandfather'd from G1...to G2(HSPDA+)....2yrs still running...Running (ROOTED) ROM PORTED ISC4.4 my 4g speed is fast (check my post's for non believers) for proof of batt stats but I get close too 2days on normal usage...point is They didn't do an upgrade to the G2(*GOOGLE DEV PHONE) yet... and ur dad wants an S3? ....third one already and they keep making them to get ppl to *Want* to upgrade to get the better contracts out the way. Returned my One DEV and ordered a T-Mobile version

Hello guys,
The Straight Talk service on my HTC One DEV had been decreased significantly since I reactivated it last month. Enough 0.16Mps download speed for me, so I decided to return the Dev version (due to some minor physical imperfections) and got a T-Mobile version.
As I read on the forum, the T-Mobile version of the One has all the bands that AT&T version doesn't. With military discount, I pay roughly 60 bucks per month for unlimited everything (only 15 bucks more from what I pay with Straight Talk). So this is a good deal for me.
Hopefully I have made a right choice

Early upgrade to the S4?

Has anybody been able to get an early upgrade to the S4? My wife's line has an upgrade in August but i wanted to get her the S4 now. I called verizon once and the rep i spoke with just basically told me i have to wait until then. I remember reading about some changes verizon was doing in regards to this, but figured it never hurts to ask

I was able to update my wife to the S3 1 month early, Her fascinate had died so they let me upgrade early.
You can upgarde 8 days early, but most of the time there are no early upgrades for verizon
I was able to upgrade a month early by calling up VzW tech support. I told them I was sick of my fascinate, and it was dropping calls and voice calls sounded scratchy (all true). The guy said no prob but I had to order via phone.
I ordered a couple months early for my S3. I was on the phone with Tech support about something, and they said that I could upgrade early if I wanted.
I got an early upgrade but I have to call on the 23rd and order it on the phone, I cannot goto a VZ store..wth?
I have the galaxy nexus and unlimited data so the only thing that is bothering me is the data cap, I only use 1.5-2 gigs a month but I'm planning on using Pandora soon almost daily so I'm afraid of that. I don't want to pay full price and can't afford that. I was going to sign up with T-Mobile so they were offering me things to stay on VZ and I mentioned an early upgrade.

It's cheaper to pay full price than to get a 5gb plan if your worried about Pandora using data.
200 for upgraded phone
480 more over two years if you have to get 5gb plan over the $30 unlimited plan.
Total cost:680+tax

Wow I can't believe Verizon. I called today and now they're saying I can't upgrade to the S4 even though there are notes on my account for an early upgrade but they said it didnt specifically say the S4. So Im having them pull the call recordings, BS... I'm not sure if I'm going to be using Pandora much though, will it really suck up a lot of data? I only went over 2 gigs one month out of the last 6

I use Pandora and Google play music all work day, I typically use 4.5-5 on a normal month, but sometimes I hit 7 or 8. Just I'd rather be on the safer side of things. And you get any device you want, just sell the s4 when you want something new. It's truely cheaper when you do the math

I guess august 29 is too far for Verizon to even consider giving me early upgrade. Sucks, have to look into different methods of acquiring it

Wtf, how the hell did you get that? So far every rep I spoke with told me it can't be done
I called in April to terminate contract early so I could move to T-Mobile and they offered me an early upgrade for when the S4 comes out. I called on the release day and 4 people gave me hell and wouldn't do it even though there was notes on my account discussing it. I called for an update on my calls today and the lady didn't even blink an eye, she was awesome and just upgraded me. I would call and talk to the dept that controls terminations and see what happens

50gb Google Drive?

Has anyone been able to claim their 50gb Google Drive offer? Didn't get no pop up for it when I opened the app.

No 50gb offer here. I was just wondering if I did or didn't do something that was required for this promo

Same man. Can't figure it out. HTC says to go through the Google Drive app and it should say redeem....but didn't get anything.

Just got off the phone with Google drive support and they manually applied the 50gb offer to my account

i think we can all thank AT&T for not having the 50gb google drive offer. They might've opted to be excluded from it like the Dropbox offer for their Galaxy S4. If you check the HTC Advantage features inside the box, this feature is not listed there
Just redeemed my 50GBs of data through the phone. Called support and representative was surprised that there is an offer but it is not displaying in app. He asked me to take a tour option and it didn't help. Maybe there is a way to clear app data from app management?!

I also didn't, but with 100GB for 1.99/m, I'm not really that broken up about it
