hey, its been a month since i got my galaxy ace s5830i, and i havent been able to find a good rom for my device, can anyone please port cm 10.1 that has been developed for s5830, jellyblast v3.0.3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1976674) works for me. so please help me and other s5830i users. Nemesis one (MOD EDIT: LInk Removed.) also works with my device, but the only problem is the resolution, since galaxy ace has a much larger screen as compared to galaxy y. please help me!

So,you want us to port CM 10.1 , that too from ace( s5830 ) ...why do you want CM 10.1 , when we have a ported jellyblast which is based on CM 20.1 and we also ported nemesis , which is based on CM 30.1 , simplicity rom by abhi922 which is based on CM 40.1 and sgs3 rom by sniperkiller which is based on CM 50.1.... and iwill soon get a rom for you which is based on CM 100.1

Dude ur wait is nthng compared to the ppl who have been using this phone here fr such a lng time. All of us want d latest OS running. Bt till that happens eithr show hell lot of patience or buy a new phone buddy.

i had a question, if one can develop cm10.1 for s5830, why cant the same be created for s5830i, i mean , both have almost the same specs. then whats the reason? i read somewhere, it said that s5830i doesnt have a dedicated graphic card, samsung has created a partition or something! is that possible ? is that true ?

Nemesis is banned from XDA, so discussion is not allowed. Also this question is causing unneeded flaming and other issues. Be patient, developers are trying. You can't just say bam, and have the ROM. It takes time and a lot of work. Check your development forum for recent development.

The difference is in this thread only discussion about the CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0-GT-S5830-GalaxyICS would be done. in the developer's thread people are posting unnecessary posts that's cause the developers a lot of problems so its better to do such discussion here but not directly in the developers thread.

Its still in development so its not for daily use but its better than expect for the alpha 3 and if u know ho to solve some problems that maybe can apper u can use it everyday like Maclaw...
I better wait for an almost stable version, before I go for testing.

I'm using alpha 3 now from 4 days n its quite good actually. Developers are saying they will release alpha 4 soon, but don't know when. ( Don't ask for ETA ) if u don't have patience then can go for alpha 3 otherwise wait a little bit..

Dude, relax. We only said that you can't use other's work without permission. But you can make your own aokp rom by modifying the official aokp rom that's made for our phone. Aokp and Cyanogenmod devs don't mind if somebody uses their work as base, provided that the rom devs keep their names (aokp and cm devs) in credits. You can make your own rom based on one of them or also miui. But not based off somebody else's work who doesn't allow you to.
This rom was made off somebody else's rom and that's why you should remove the download links. It's considered stealing like we all mentioned before. You're new here, I can see that. Mistakes happen from all of us. Just relax and make sure this doesn't happen again.

I have already tried CM10 and AOKP... But with CM10 there is a bit of delay on the lockscreen, and that annoys me ALOT!
About AOKP; i cant connect to WiFi ?!

I think that you are already doing the right thing and trying out different roms to see how they work for your particular needs. I'm using Temasek at the moment, however, thats not to say that it is the best rom, its just suits my needs. I also switch on a regular basis to Liquidsmooth, AOKP, CM10.1 and ParanoidAndroid just to try out the new features - thats the beauty of having an Android phone!
Just keep on trying the numerous roms to be found and find one that you like the feel of. Once you've sorted your rom, you can move on to finding which Kernel suits your needs too....

you shouldn't really ask which is the best ROM, but with the ROMs currently not showing in the search function on the forum at the moment I think you can be a little forgiven lol
You are best just trying the different ones out, i know it can be a bit of a pain to flash and setup each one but youll find one in the end that you like, or you will keep flashing a new one each week as a lot of people here do (GUILTY).
The one i kept on the longest is UltimaROM, the dev is very active and welcomes requests. Version 8.1.1 is very stable and nice to use.
OmegaROM is good as mentioned above.
Both of these are 4.1.2 Samsung Based ROM
Or there are a few AOSP based ROMS on 4.1.2 or 4.2.1. JellyBam being a very nice example which is based on CM10.1 and AOKP's latest builds. Or the CM 10.1 Nightly builds.

It doesn't hang every min, if I do complex task , then only it hangs.

I tried to port the CM10, a lot of lags. Nothing works, phone booted and the sensor works with vibration. The nucleus under our processor with Android 4.2.1 do not have to copy the source code. I personally did not find.

We have two CM Roms CM 7.2 and CM 9.1 . We don't have CM 10.1. I think you have jellyblast rom.

It's a simple build.prop edit. It can be edited to even 5.0 or 70.99, but it will stay GB. So sorry, it's still GB.
Some users think they are so bad ass that they are on JB and other members are stuck on GB.
And proudly show the About Phone pic.
This still is due to the first world problem of lack of reading. The first thing a person does in ROM thread is to look for Download link and then instructions and then after facing problems, returns to ask same questions provided in OP or misconcepts the whole thing.
For ages, people have been falsely elated by the fact that JellyBlast is Jelly Bean 4.1.1 even though their is no feature of it or you can't install even ICS+ apps

hello everyone I own a galaxy note 2 and I learn about flashing and all that stuff with my HTC one V... ok the point. a friend of mine just bought a galaxy ace M, and I will help with the flashing. the thing is which rom do you recomend for battery life? (he doesnt need many bloatware apps just a simple rom with good battery life) any suggestions?
P.S Im currently reading as many post as I can but none of the roms talk about battery life...

Simpy stay on Stock and remove unnecessary apps like Google Maps etc... Or buy a better battery
