Brightness is at the lowest setting that you get with "disable auto brightness" enabled. And i even found that too much sometimes late at night.
But during that time i used maximum brightness for a short time as well to read a pdf.
Wifi is in my room. baseband 64 with very good signal reception (full bars) and 2g only. (data disabled)
I'm not trying to say that everyone should get the same battery life as me. In fact you should NOT get that much battery if you are using your android phone the way it was meant to be used.
And that is: the "always on" nature with updates and notifications etc.
What i'm highlighting here is that the version does not have a deep sleep issue at least. If it drains too much power while using some phone functions, that's different...
One twitter app that checks for new content every 5 mins would be enough to never let your phone deep sleep for example.
Anyway, after downloading an listening another 1.5 hour long podcast yesterday, here is the final picture before i charge my phone.

Instructions
for lockbootloader
- after restoring the backup, u need to install CWM manually (searh for it, will add link later on)
- then u need to install stock wifi module
- delete /system/lib/module or /system/lib/modules
- then flash this: Stock wifi modules (this is from Night-Elf's kernel thread)
- after u finish all of the above make a new full backup, so u have a fully a nice one to restore when u messed it up
patch for neo
- after finish flashing the rom, reboot into recovery
- flash custom zip & navigate to folder named -=codename_##=-
- select codename_9_neo_patch.zip
walkman & volume+
- to really feel the different, use headphone
- open walkman, play your favourite music
- open volume+ > go to headset setting > enable audio modification > EQ Presets > select 'Beats Emulation'
- press home button to exit & enjoy it
odex script - optional
- use this wisely & with precaution
- flash custom zip & navigate to folder named -=codename_##=-
- select codename_9_odexing.zip
- it will odex the rom (system/app & framework only, data partition are excluded)
- remember this, if you want to replace any apps that already included in the rom, add it before you flash this zip
- or flash rom > add your apps > odex the rom (since my rom will not wipe your data, you can do this over & over again )
- or you end up with bootloop (reflash the rom & its fixed )
QuickPanel Setting
- disable brightness & flashlight on statusbar, it will slow down battery use in display
- also disable network widget, some user reported that it is not working
Spare Parts - removed
- window animation > off
- transition animations > fast
- this will make it snappier
SetCPU

- don't forget to thanks there
- set smartassV2, min freq 245Mhz & max 1024Mhz (recomended)
- run the recomended for at least 1 day, let the phone settle down - Important!!
- when the phone settled down, you can set the max to the freq that you desire
- add profile for screen off, use conservative, min 122Mhz & max 460Mhz (any lower and you may feel lag)
Setting ringtone/alarm sound
- open the music file with ES File Explorer, assign it as notification/ringtone/alarm

What i'm highlighting here is that the version does not have a deep sleep issue at least. If it drains too much power while using some phone functions, that's different...
One twitter app that checks for new content every 5 mins would be enough to never let your phone deep sleep for example.
Anyway, after downloading an listening another 1.5 hour long podcast yesterday, here is the final picture before i charge my phone.

I have officially unlocked bootloader & followed all your steps ever used the given kernel but still get stuck on the boot screen & i waited for 5 - 8 mins to get a re-boot but nothing so i moved back to stock .42 ROM.....
So please let me know what is the solution for this .......

Did you do data and cache wipe?
Moreover.. You need to flash this over stock .42 rom, I hope you doing that.. If not can you do this and confirm pl.

And also try to pull out the battery and reboot. 1st boot may take some time as it create swap file on your system partition. If still stuck on second boot, pull out the battery and reboot again. Please report back. Thankz.

Agree with archijit ! It's either MIUI or this. MIUI has its own issues owing to porting from a different device ROM. For the time being sticking to this for stick feel at the same time power of new kernel and scrolling notification widgets. love it ... !

Yup i have done the same procedure given in your first post & followed each & every bit of it .... but still nothing as it always got stuck on the boot animation & ya i am flashing it on Stock .42 ROM......
Still i will try it once more ....

I'll try flashing again, looks like intermittent issue.

Some people on this forum know about RAM on Xperia X8 very small and no more than 256mb.. and some people know about V6 SuperCharger for increase RAM on your lovely device. So now i'll be explain how to that. Before it, i hope other people on this thread give a thanks to developers of V6 Supercharger.

- First, you need V6Superchargerxxxx.txt download from here and put to your root sdcard
- Run V6SuperChargerxxxx.txt with script manager download from here and install it now.
- For run V6SuperChargerxxxx.txt you must run as root (tick a skull icon).
- Set your scrolling speed.. example enter the value as "0" for script run fast
- After it enter the value as "10" and enter the slot like this :
slot 1 : 6
slot 2 : 18
slot 3 : 5
slot 4 : 50
slot 5 : 60
slot 6 : 70
- And now you must choose 16 for reboot your phone.

I recommend using naa 14, why? because if you use alfs 8a cm7 if for some reason the old worn rom this will be an error on the portable hotspot.

How to install (v9)
Ensure that you have stock (I8160XXMG2) Jelly Bean installed & Temporary CWM6 on your external sdcard (requirements). If you don't have them already:
-Follow this guide to flash stock Jelly Bean firmware.
-Copy Temporary CWM6 on your external sdcard.
Copy KYRILLOSv9.JB.XXMG2 to your sdcard.
Press Vol up + Home + Power button to enter Recovery.
Part 1: Stock Recovery:
- Wipe data/factory reset - Yes [Optional but recommended]
- Apply Update from external storage
- Then select the CWM6 recovery that you downloaded before.
Part 2: CWM6 Recovery
- CWM6 Recovery will show up!
- Select install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, navigate and choose Kyrillosv9.JB.XXMG2.zip - yes.
- [I8160P only]If your model is I8160P, then flash this after the rom installation is completed.
- Select reboot system now - no

Note: If you are on any custom JB rom (CM, PAC, etc), install the rom from recovery, wipe data/factory reset & then flash stock XXMG2 kernel.

How to install (v5)
(Skip this step if you are outside of europe) Ensure that you have I8160XXLL2 installed + custom kernel (requirements). If you don't have them already installed:
-Follow this guide to flash stock firmware
-Then go again in download mode and flash the kernel this time. [WARNING!! THE COUNTER WILL GO TO 1 AND YOU WILL LOSE WARRANTY!!]. When the phone boot up again, shut it down.
Copy KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2 to your sdcard.
Press Vol up + Home + Power button to enter Custom Recovery.
With the volume button navigate to wipe data/factory reset and press the home button to do it (Warning! You will lose all your data).
Then go to install zip from sdcard => choose zip from sdcard and select KYRILLOSv5.GB.XXLL2. Wait for about 2 minutes for the process to be completed and reboot your phone.

why people make all this custom roms with UI or sound from ICS or JB, if this GB, just leave original sounds and look, or make some new UI and sound by yourself, or just download some different stuff... All this looks like fake for me, fake JB... but anyways, + for AOSP Gingerbread look)

I've been testing your ROM and everything works fine until now, GPS, WIFI, Music player etc. I'll continue testing.
I have some suggestions.
1 The battery % is completely impossible to read, it's way to small, I've seen battery mods with larger %.
2 The font is a little small I think original font is much easier to read.
3 Could we have screen off CRT animation?

Found a problem speruser aplication not working...
When I try to open titaniumbackup or run "su" in terminal both aplications hang... asking for root rigths...
I tried to wide data, clear cache ,clear dalvik cache, and reflashing the ROM and still get the hangs when trying to get root.

This rom has a feel of stock GingerBread. The JB ui sounds are better than the stock samsung ones. I couldn't find the AOSP Gingerbread sounds

1. Its the only STOCK GB battery with % percent.
2. Yeah maybe. I will upload the stock font too for the people that want it.
3. I had it enabled until today, but i disabled it because there were some antifacts. Samsung problems..

I will attach a newer version of the mod, but keep in mind that it doesnt work right. It needs coding to modify some of the samsungs code in libsurfaceflinger that i dont have.

N O T E :
- Removed panorama options on legacy camera (thanks to gandhar) because panorama still not work (use panorama app non official / play store or u can get it on my ADDONS)
- Radio (follow the step below) :
*if u want to open radio,
turn on bluetooth->plug headphone->radio
*if u want to exit radio
exit radio->unplug headphone->turn off bluetooth
*if u unplug headphone while on radio or turn off bluetooth before unplug headphone so,
radio will not work and will work again on next reboot.
Below is error that happen if you forget to flash dev files above, but i still keep this below step for anyones that not only in this rom if got some problems like this hope it usefull
F.A.Q :
- For some devices who got problem with accelerometer (not inverted camera only), see on attached files below (pls tell me if still inverted )
- If u got only camera inverted, go HERE
- If u got phone is stopped, pls insert your simcard
- If u want to ACTIVE DEVELOPER SETTING, you have to tap the "build number" 7 times continuously under the "About Phone" settings to activate development settings. (thanks for achinthyah)

A: Yes, it work fine
Q: I want use other custom ROM, what do i need?
A: Hmm, must reflash stock rom and up it or use file Disable_V-ROM.zip to disable V-ROM common app
Q: Google Snyc cannot work perfectly ?
A: Because i deleted some app (bloatware) include google snyc Contact, you can find in app deleted.
Q: I cannot Factory Reset on your rom, if i do this atfer i have bootloop?
A: Don't do it, i don't know why? But you can have bootloop if you do it and not flash other ROM
Q: Your ROM after flash, very long to boot up?
A: Some app will be install after please wait from 5-10 minutes
Q: About V-MOD, how to flash it?
A: You must mount preload and flash to safety, you cannot see other change if don't mount it

Ok i will delete in next update, i will do when we have new jb rom. I forget delete app paid. (some people in my country like this i added and forget) i only port some config and delete black market but i forget deleted it. my internet upload very slow, please skip for me this version.

try send me tee folder i will make I8160P version. But i will not test because i not have I8160P you must self-test.
shine I suggest you to delete now paid apps, is not legal, don't foget this.. you cuold have legal repercussions for this, like a report..

Is it just me or is keyboard missing from 0.8.1? Downloaded from Dev host, I've added in keyboard to the zip with my download but anyone else experienced same
