[Q] Stock ROM and stock kernel under UBUNTU ? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi ,
Am really not familiar what is KERNEL and what is ROM ?
my phone got into a reboot-loop after battery was dead , tried everything not working , and i can't go to warranty because i bought my phone from another country (i moved here 2 months ago to work) so in this country they have N7105(i think)_ but mine is N7100 ... they said different parts .
Do i have a chance to get rid of the reboot-loop ? i can access the download page and the restore thingy with the download from ZIP .
Do i need a ROM ? a Kernel ?
where to get one ?
and how to apply it (i am under UBUNTU 12.10) i have heimdall-frontend installed with heimdall , but failed installing the stock kernel

Just Odin to stock, but you will probably get more help in the n7100 forum. This is the Verizon i605 forum.

Verizon Galaxy s4

I recently ran into a problem with my verizon samsung galaxy s4. I had been running numerous custom roms for a few months now and It started to get a big buggy when i was running cm 10.1 nightly so I decided to use the [GUIDE] No-Wipe Factory Images (Restore from any soft-brick without wiping data) to get back to stock software and flash a different rom. After rooted using motorchopper. However any I have tried rom now has a problem, I can't reset phone or it gets stuck in bootloop till I flash a different rom using twrp. It's really strange, also when botting the phone says samsung galaxy s 4 and it used to say samsung galaxy s4 unlocked. Is it possible my bootloader got messed up, I'm not sure what happened and the stock software sucks. I thought it might have accepted the ota update but I am still running VRUAMDK build so I dont think so. Any help would be great and appreciated.
Sorry if its something stupid, Thanks for a response Chris

ODIN back to MDK. Then redo everything from there. I wouldn't try anything crazy with the recovery. If you accepted the OTA, you can root using the MD2 bootloader then use titanium back up to freeze a script (forgot which one but it's listed on here) to prevent the ME7 loader from being flashed.

Search this forum for connection problems with Odin. It is either something easy, like a usb driver problem or your device is bricked, with a lot of possibilities in between -there is no single solution.

Galaxy S3 I9300- Tutorial Ror Stable ROM or List All Links In One Place

Hello guys,
I apologize in advance if this is someone already asked, but if not I would like to ask if someone could put something like a tutorial, or all links in one place, to set up a new good and stable ROM on S3 I9300. I think it would be good to set an explanation from the very beginning, such as: how to install the ROM (good and stable), how to install Karnel (good and stable), if it is required for this ROM, and explanation and tools to restore the original ROM if something is not good after installing custom ROMs. Once again, I apologize if I was wrong with asking, I'm relatively new to this forum and this could because I wanted to install a new ROM but I'm not 100% sure how to do it and which ROM to choose. I found and read a lot of information, but now I am after all this information even more confused, and I would like to do it properly.
Thank you
Am using blekota note 4 latest build on my i9300
