Do u guys think that it is the time to move to cm? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Now that everyone is so busy with jelly bean, seeing that ics is slowly abandoned I think I should upgrade to jelly bean... BUT the official Rom has quite a few bad reports already... So I was thinking of going to cm once it has a stable release... What do u guys think?
Sent from my brain which is in Bahamas

If You're gonna wait for CM... By the time it's usable regularly/heavily the stock ROMs camera( the only bad report mind you) will be fixed.
So now you have both Stock nd CM functional.
Choice is yours
Press thanks if I helped:thumbup:

I have switched back to the stock rom for a specific reason, I like the bravia engine and xloud features. Basically there are lots of different reports that you can mod these features but I personally haven't had any success. CM9 did rock otherwise. Its the best UI experience ever.
Besides this, there is no other reason to stick to stock/custom rom. I do love the fluidity stock based custom rom by Pulak and so far its got the best battery backup.

As far as the changelog all has been fixed by Munjeni(Bless him) in the Ported Stock JB ROM.
You should try it and decide yourself

[Q] Suggest me an ICS rom

Hello.
I am making this thread, because there are too many roms here and I can't find out which one to pick.
I want some stable ICS rom for my Mini ST15, because I am tired of waiting for the official ICS, and I would also want to have the additional settings to turn off the auto brightness...
I suggest the stock rom with draco_ag's mods and bloatware removed.
Sent from my phone.
link or anything, please?
real ics 5.2 is stable and fast using it with mesa 1.6 kernel and every thing is good
agree, real ics 5.2 is superb, use with mesa 1.6 kernel. but just a suggestion if u want stock, better wait till nxt week for new firmware release by sony.
Real ICS is for Live with Walkman......
nope it's for all 2011 xperia phones via aroma installer

Getting started with installing custom ROM

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

I booted RR 2.7 ICS version on 2 nd ROM
and after 2 hours booted 3.8 RR JB version..
is it safe to flash ROMs too fast??
I mean back to back??
Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..

(Solved) Live with Walkman ROM?

Hi,
I have LWW it is running stock GB rooted.
I havent upgraded to official ICS because i came to know that it has many bugs.
Now since i want to upgrade to new version I am thinking of going either to:
1. FXP CM 9
2. FXP CM10
So all of u who have tried these versions can please help me by replying ur experience.
IS they have any bugs and any problem in camera, hardware buttons, sensors or anything.
Just check the bug tracker to know the bugs...I haven't tried FXP CM9 but FXP CM10 is good rom....it's fast but the battery life was not so good...if u use extended kernel with the cm10 rom, there won't be much bugs in the rom.
Press THANKS if I helped,
Regards,
Abhinav

I don't think so, you just only unlock your bootloader that's it.

Which ROM do you prefer for your Neo V?

I'm currently using Xperia Ultimate HD ROM which is an ICS based. I'm thinking of unlocking my bootloader and install a JB based ROM.
I would like to know which ROM you guys are using? GB, ICS or JB based?
Dude...there are many many threads similar to this one...please search...
Gaming and performance wise...
GB>JB>ICS...
Please report the thread yourself and have it closed. :good:
Hi dude. It's you who started me on this line by your awesome guide to rooting. I have rooted my phone using your guide. Now reading your guide to flashing a custom kernel. I want to try out a JB based ROM, hence posted the thread. I have searched and couldn't find any comparisons for GB, ICS, JB based ROMs. Will close by EOD
Waiting for any suggestions on JB Rom, which does not have Signal loss.
Im facing the signal loss prob.. on moAOKP with Fusion 5.1. Any others facing the same?
gaming performance
GB>JB>ICS
Features
JB>ICS>GB
i recommend go for a jb rom for overall good user experience
and
gb rom if you are only interested in gaming
and please close this thread now
Read this.. :good:

JB roms are quite stable...but no Hdmi..nd Cam is not as good as ICS or GB...
Mike's Aosp is the most cleanest Rom.. With no mods.. Nothing. Just plain JB.
Check these out.. SJB..moAokp..SJB Aosp..for customisable jb roms..
@[email protected] on the same Rom and kernel as you... No signal problems here..
Lone..
When i see the battery graph, i see Red line for Mobile network.. Can you just check once?
