Yes you can only on jb roms

Dual boot cm9? Ics? Are you sure thats possible? Don't both roms need to be JB?
Why would you want to dual boot cm9? 10.1 is the latest

Both roms need to be jellybean at least, so you will have to use at least cm10...

Doesn't it depend on the version of the Siyah Kernel? Maybe I was wrong

ICS was never supported for dual booting. So no, you cannot.

Can I flash kernel Siyah-s2-v4.0.1-CWM.zip safely on my rooted S2?

Hi
Can I flash the above kernel safely using cwm? I am already rooted using cwm.zip then update.zip. I want to install and use some custom boot animations. I currently have ICS 4.0.4 XXLQ6.
Thank you
Tim

Siyah doesn't support 4.2.1 (CM10.1), yet.

Yes it will he is working on it.
i read somewhere that if you want cm 10.1 as your second rom you have to install it as you first, primary rom, and then swap or clone it to second rom (ofc you need to backup first your primary rom).
I wanted to test it but i dont have time... but maybe it will help you.
yea

Installing jelly bean

I have a rooted galaxy s2 with an xwlp7 kernel. The jelly bean rom i saw was 4.1.2 XXLSJ. Will this work with my kernel?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
The kernel you currently have has no relation to a different ROM which has its own kernel.
Or to directly answer your odd question, no, your current non-JB kernel certainly will not work with a JB ROM.
But if you mean you want to install the JB-leak (or didn't you mean that?): that is possible. Your current kernel will be replaced.

Yes I meant the leaked version. Was just wondering if it can be done before attempting.

Yes that is possible. You can flash the official one, or one from a developer (I personally would recommend Neatrom). Good luck.

But remember, Siyah kernel is for stock and CM10/10.1 ROM, it may not work with AOSP/AOKP ROM?
