Black HTC One Item Name/Number - AT&T HTC One (M7)

I recently ordered a replacement for my One through AT&T and told them I wanted the Black HTC One rather than the Silver which I currently have. They sent out the replacement yesterday and I received today. To my surprise they sent the wrong color. So what I'm trying to find is the item number for the Black AT&T HTC One. The item number for the Silver one is PN07120 according to the order info that they sent me. Can anyone that ordered a Black 32 GB HTC One on AT&T's website please post the item name/number that appears on the order info so that when I call AT&T regarding this issue I can have that number handy and make sure I get the right device?
Thanks.

how'd you get them to agree to do that? You paying restock fee?

No. My current device has a couple manufacturer defects. So I called in to make a warranty claim and I asked the rep I was talking to if I could have the black one sent as the replacement device instead of another silver one. And he said "yes, I can have the fulfillment center send you the black variant. That won't be a problem". And then they sent me a silver one anyway.

Yeah I was thinking that was pretty lucky that he was letting me switch colors. Sadly some one in the fulfillment center didn't feel like doing their job correct and sent me the wrong phone. So now I have to call att again and figure out what my options are. I am hoping I can just take both my current htc one and and the replacement they sent to me to the service center in my city and get the black one. At this point I would really like to leave att but I can't afford to cancel my contract and buy a new phone on another carrier.

Just got this as the replacement back for my phone. I called them and told them my camera bezel was dented and they sent be a new back and asked what color I wanted. I shall post up pictures when I get it in the mail. This could be a nice way to get the white battery cover if you want it.

I contacted HTC by email first. Then they gave me a number for their repair center in the states. At first they were like we cant send you a replacement because im in Canada and they told me to contact my carrier(ROGERS), but then I told them my carrier told me to call you guys. They then authorized sending me a sprint back cover for the American version but they warned me it might not fit. Then they asked me if i wanted white or black.
What's the phone number? Will you pm it to me? My bezel is all bent up and its been bugging me since I got the phone!

Just called the number and fed em some BS and they're sending me a white one in the mail right now.
Most likely will end up on ebay haha, unless I realllly like it
Also as a side note you only get one free repair-esque thing like this. So basically your using up your one on getting a new battery cover, however I have the coverage at best buy so i dont need the manufacters warrantee

lol what BS did you feed them? might have to take advantage
Its coming form the states and im in Canada so it might take a while I will still post up pictures when its here. And its not really a waste we only have one warranty for the backcover and all the other parts are still warranted if i have any problems. so as long as i don't have any other battery cover issues it will be fine. Plus the white ones are more expensive i could get a black on ebay for like $5 but a white is around 30-40.

Don't tell them your serial number, just the first number they ask for.
Then just tell them the glue on the ring around the camera failed and that you need a new battery cover. After some info gathering they ask you what color the phone is and just tell them white.... or possibly even tell them purple if you really want that. I made sure to keep saying the ring around the camera was silver, not red, but that probably wont matter as the guy I was talking to seemed clueless about this phone.
edit: not sure if its the serial number I didn't tell them. I just know they asked me for 2 numbers and I told him the first and that my phone didnt have the second one they asked for
Got mine in the mail today, pics up soon!
Just a bump mine came in the mail today and I uploaded some pic's. imo it looks great. It looks terrible with a case so I am not sure what I want to do now. I hate to leave my phone without protection.
Just ordered mine. Guy was very friendly on the phone. Should ship in 2-3 business days and arrive in 5-6. My phone only had a month left on warranty so I'm glad I called and used it.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
I bet they are gonna be surprised when a bunch of people start calling in saying the same thing hahaha
I had that same thought earlier, that's why I'm glad I called when I did. Told him my fiancee dropped her phone and the battery door cracked at the bottom so it won't stay latched. Worked like a charm.
Before anyone flames me for blaming her, the door is for her.

Just got this from HTC

Anyone got a picture of a back cover with the camera ring off, or coming off

probably bad question, but whats the best way to get a new Evo from insurance

all in title
There really isn't a "Best Way." Rule of thumb is you're supposed to get a re-manufactured unit by priority, and if none are available at the time, a NIB unit is sent. If you get 3 re-manufactured units in a row, a new one can be requested at that point. I got lucky and got a NIB unit when I cracked my screen. Paid $100 for my Asurion deductible, and had a new one in hand next business day (reported before 8pm EST on the previous business day).

yep, south park store. Yea I paid full retail also, so there is no reason to have to put up with that. Do you know if exchanges have to be done at store you purchased from? Asking because I work in uptown, and it would be easier to just go to that store.

I work downtown as well, but kind of on the outskirts by Dilworth. I believe you can return to the EpiCenter store based on their policy from their site.
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/returnpolicy.html#fbid=hWWFXshHQ-K
"How do I return my device?
If you bought the device at an AT&T retail store during the applicable return period, return it to any AT&T retail store.
If you bought the device online at att.com or over the phone from AT&T during the applicable return period, mail the device back to AT&T or bring it to any AT&T retail store. Be sure to keep your tracking number."
Call that store first to make sure they have the device on hand. The only issue you may run into is according to their policy, you can only exchange once. I've managed to exchange twice as the SouthPark store though, no fees.
Got mine yesterday. I was gonna get the silver and mentioned to the guy I was really liking the black one(didn't know they had them yet). Worked out great.

Just swapped my Silver for the Black.
The Black feels a tad more grippier to hold. The Silver feels good, but it's a hunk of metal and hard to hold.
The Black looks great, but people wont know what kind of phone it is vs the Silver is going to draw attention.
ATT had one ok case which I bought, but I think I'm going caseless to see how the phone hold up.
If it shows scratches pretty easy then I plan on going back to the Silver.
Just installed a Zagg full body shield. It actually adds a nice gloss finish to the back. It's also less of a finger print magnet.

I take it everyone that switched from silver to black was within the 14 day exchange period and not one of the early pre-order adopters?
Yeah I was within the return period
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Since I was outside of the 14 day exchange period I had to make a warranty claim through att for the "gap gate" issues on mine as well as the unresponsive capacitive keys. So they are sending me a Black one and they even waived the priority shipping fee. Hopefully it will get here Wednesday.

Warranty services.?

Will AT&T warranty services replace my phone for a hardware defect?
I've had my phone since release and the glass is raised on the left. At first it was something I could deal with but it actually seems to be getting worse. I feel it every time I pull down for notifications.
It's been too long to get a replacement from the store I bought it from so I'm wondering if AT&T will help me.

One more time, since it seems it's never clear:
Warranty is for DEFECTS, like the gaps, raised screens, etc.
INSURANCE is for **** that you do to your phone, like a broken screen, liquid damage, fire, theft, etc.
AT&T covers your phone with a 1 year warranty regardless of if you have insurance or not. The insurance extends the warranty past the 1 year though.

I don't think you should do that. You said you called AT&T, but I was told by the repair department that going to a store and reporting your problem would get you a new phone.
That's not always the case. Every time I've gone to the store after the initial return period has expired, I'm told I have to deal with warranty services. In fact I have had sales reps in the store call them for me. Store reps have little to no power unless you are dealing with a store with a repair center on site. There isn't one of those within a hundred miles of me, so I just call warranty services.
Btw. New phone arrived yesterday and it doesn't have any problems.

Absolutely not. Maybe if it's a repair center (which are relatively rare), but outside of those shops all AT&T warranty work is done over the phone.

I had massive issues with the 4 Note 2s I was sent as replacements, so they gave me a 64gb One (silver). This was through AT&T, not assurion (the insurance company)..
How were you able to deal with att instead of asurion??

Late reply, but once again, because I don't know where the misconception comes from:
ASSURION IS ONLY FOR LOST, STOLEN, or DAMAGED (liquid, fire, physical) PHONES. FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, YOU GO THROUGH AT&T AND IT IS FREE FOR YOUR FIRST YEAR.
Again, all caps, because I must have repeated it about 1000 times over the years.
If you have a WARRANTY issue, you call AT&T and speak to the warranty department.

AT&T honors your warranty for the first year, and yes, it's free. Call the warranty department and they'll handle the exchange. Not sure what YOU'VE been doing, but I had to go through more than a few defective refurb phones in the past year, and they were ALL exchanged, free of charge, through AT&T's warranty department. No, I don't pay for insurance either.
Like I said, if it's a DEFECT, AT&T will exchange it. If it's damage, then you go through insurance.
Yes warranty service is free from AT&T.
