[Q] Power Usage Under Normal Usage - HTC EVO 3D

I'm running a cm10.1 based Rom and the battery seems to drain really fast.
At the minute I'm shown a drain of 259mA.
Is this normal or high?
Edit: just checked again and its now at 539mA.

I had the same battery problems with WFTN also but i let the battery drain and recharge overnight. After a few days, almost a week, i have had few or no issues with battery life anymore. Just give it a few days and let it do its thing.

Yeah I've noticed it has calmed down in the last few days.

[Q] ICS CM9 Memory leak and Battery drain

Hi,
I have been reading that the beta's have a memory leak issue. Also this causes a battery drain. I have had the CM9 beta installed for 22hrs and my battery has dropped to 86% from 100%. Did I get lucky?
Or maybe the battery drain hasn't set in yet. I am unable to figure out which, I will monitor the battery progress for the next few days.
In the meantime I was wondering whether anyone in the forum could help explain what I am observing (extrememly good battery life).
As always Thanks joker and the devs for such an amazing ROM.

I'm on awesome club beta of jokers cm9, and my battery, dare I say, is pretty awesome too. My theory however is that like atrix builds, Bluetooth causes the memory leak. So heavy bt users suffer worst from this problem. But I do know that the more often cache is cleared the less of a problem memory leak is.

So as long as we don't use Bluetooth, the battery life should be fine? Ive only had CM9 beta 0.1.0 installed for a day and 6 hours with low data usage and I am still at 49%.

I do not know what you mean by low but when I ran few speedtests on 3G I found my battery drain rapidly. I think your battery life seems alright. Try calibrating your battery. It might help.

the memory leak is not a battery drain

Now it makes sense. I find my photon having very good battery life. I was wondering if I had turned on a magical switch. Apparently I havent. Thanks for the reply. Wanted someone to confirm.

I had that same problem when I first flash cm9 v2, my battery would drain in like 4 hours. What I did is wipe, formatted everything factory reset back to factory ROM. Then I flashed cm9 v0.1.0 2d, then flashed cm9 v2, gapps v10, flashed keyboard &sdcard fix, then Oleg-petr-cm9-v2-1.3GHz. Now I get great battery life and everything that's is supposed to work is no problem at all. And I use my phone all threw the day, calling data and txing. Hope that helps..

I never use bluetooth and I'm getting horrible battery life with cm9... It drains about 30% overnight. (6 hours) and with juice defender activated about 20&%.... I've calibrated over and over again my battery but it doesn't doesn't get any better, I've even installed watchdog and betterbatterystatts to find out what is causing this... Both reported heavy battery drain from phone idle and suspend respectively.
Any thoughts on how may I solve this??? I love ICS and i don't wanna go back to gb. HELP ME PLEASE
I am having noticeably much worse battery life on Jokersax CM9 Beta 0.6.1, and I likewise hate to go back to stock, but the battery life on stock was tremendously better.
just hold off patiently till ICS drivers are released. They built with what they had, and magic outta the air. once they have the ICS drivers for the photon, you will see a whole new CM9 beast.
This thread it's kinda old, it was an issue with one of the alpha builds if I remember correctly. Just an fyi.
After flashing it usually takes a couple of charges for the battery to "settle in." Are you flashing on a full (90+%) battery? I have never wiped battery stats and always get 10 to 16 hours on a charge.

[Q] Android system at 44% battery use @ ICS 4.0.3 , who else?

Hi all,
Since I started using Lite'ning ROM v2.1 I noticed that my battery was draining very fast.
I went to my battery use and I saw that "Android system"was using 44% of my battery. Wake time is almost 6 hours...
Is this a known bug or is there a solution to this?
Battery drain start with the Better Battery Stats app and thread .

If the rom you are using is not yet a fully stable rom then it could have battery drain problems, although battery drain is usally how you use your phone. Look what apps are running when you notice your battery running down fast, as it could be one of those.
When im at work i actually only use whatsapp, and sometimes facebook while im on break. But my WiFi is off all the time then, only whatsapp and battery monitor were active. With 2.3.4 this wasn't a problem and my battery would be 60% when i came home...
Either google wakelocks and how to pin-point them, or wipe and install NO apps afterwards, run it for a day and if the same problem go to another rom till it's more stable .
What works fine in 2.3.4 has no garuntee's that it will work an experimental ICS build of any sort.
i have similar problem. my galaxy is on wanamlite 9.6, which base on LP7. after 5 hours of not intensive using, i have 65% battery left, android OS use 68% of this battery, most of time my wi-fi is off. when is on, drain battery very fast, over night even up to 20%. when i was on ginger bread it took around 6% - 8% with data and wi-fi on.

Do you have many widgets?
Especially Beautiful Widgets and Fancy Widget (moreover if you activate the meteo forecast) will constantly drain your batter in search for your position. Wifi uses less juice than 3G connections.
Happened to me back at GB 2.3.4. Battery went down to 60% in 3 hours (at the office I'm on G...so even worse cuz the battery compensates for the lack of coverage). After I removed Fancy Widgets from the screen everything went back to normal.
Don't have any widgets as far as I know, only the clock and twitter...
Today battery is know at 26% after 11 hours on battery. Process stil at 39% battery use.
I searched the web and found that there are a lot of users having this problem, especially with the Google Nexus.

You and I have the same problem. but you can try One Power Guard .
One Power Guard can help the system into a deep sleep,Reduce battery drain

[Q] meghd00t's SGT7+CM10+Cherry Picks 12/10 ROM Battery Drain?

I've been running this ROM for some time now, and am noticing about a 10% drain per 24hrs, and that's with 97% "deep sleep" according to CPUSPY. And CPU performance profile set on hotplug (not using SETcpu).
Anyone have any ideas on how to improve? I was running a CM7 Beta prior, and battery stamina was incredible, I could go for 2 weeks with moderate use on a single charge, this drain just seems to be a bit excessive.
it is commonly known that so far...cm10 has terrible battery life (it is a bug in the original cm10). NOT FIXED yet
I dunno cm10 used to drain about 10pct an hour even when wifi was off and screen off. Now it's 1-2pct a day that I've noticed its been solid for me. 10pct, a day doesn't sound too bad considering what it used to be

Cm 10.1 Battery Drain In 3 Hours Continous Work With Screen On Is It Normal?

i have got the phone with cm 10.1 from a friend so i do not know how it was with the stock version
i want to know if the problem from the battery or the rom also it takes alot of time in chargin aroud 6 hours to complete i also use blackberry charger so whats wrong?
the last issue that i can fing some lag specially when openning multiple tabs or in playing
i use the build 18/1/2013
is there any fix in the performance in the current nightly?
Battery life depends on your usage more than it does on what ROM it is.
If you're playing games for 2 hours on your phone, don't expect much.
If you're on standby and its losing more than 2% per hour, then you need to get BetterBatteryStats, CPUspy and check out which app is causing this.

Cm11 for gpe

Newest nightly is fast stable and smooth camera is laggy still but mine works no issues found yet
Update...battery drain is horrible shows android os pulling 50% and screen 20 that's never good Lol 40% battery gone in 4 hrs with it in my pocket at work with WiFi Bluetooth etc all off
