[Q] [Help] No Wi-Fi FreeXperia CM9.1 with Sliding_XU kernel, modules please - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello,
I am installed cm9.1 from freexperia project then installed Sliding_XU kernel.
Everything works fine except the Wi-Fi, the developer says it automatically extracts wi-fi modules to /system/lib/modules in thread. But i don't have any files there. As i have experience in linux, i know i need these files under /system/lib/modules who uses Sliding_XU 3.4 - CM kernel in order to activate my Wi-Fi.
Can anyone post it this post under the thread? I don't have enought post count for posting it there.

I am really sorry for my bad English, its not my primary language and seems i forgot it.
Many Thanks

tun.ko module for ICS (6.1.A.0.452) Stock Kernel

I cannot post into Sub-Thread Xperia S Android Development (10-Posts limit), but I compiled a tun.ko kernel module for (DooM's Advaned-) Stock Kernel (3.0.8, ROM 6.1.A.0.452). Maybe, there are some more users, who want to use it.
(I don't know, if this is the right place, but I don't know, where I can post it elsewhere)
Attached zip contains:
- tun.ko kernel module
- init.d script to load tun.ko at startup (when using Advaned Stock Kernel)
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
im just search for this, and i plan to downgrade back to GB :banghead:becouse ICS don't have tun.ko...
Now you made my day thanks pal!
( sorry for my broken English)

rage kernel wifi fix for cm10 jellbean xperia mini?

ok, so ive had a good thorough search for the answer but to no avail,so hopefully someone can help!
have an xperia mini running cm10 fxp135. runs really well on stock kernel but unfortunately the governors on the stock fxp kernel are limited. ( no smartass etc)
Im actually specifically looking at the rage kernel 3.2 which i have installed and works perfectly apart from the wifi is "greyed out", so effectively no wifi.
Any ideas or fixes for the wifi would be greatly appreciated. For now though, i will be going back to the fxp kernel as there really is nothing wrong with it, just want a few more tweaks that are available in the rage one!
thanks!
There is a WiFi fix in the thread... Or do you search a specific for jellybean? (There are wifi-modules-signed-zip, for flashing via cwm I think, but Do a Backup before!)

hi,
thanks for the quick reply!
yes, ideally i am wanting a specific kernel for jellybean (other than the FXP kernel included in the rom package for cm10)
the FXP one is perfectly fine, but it would just be nice to have a few more govenors etc!
i know theres a guy who has compiled an extended jellybean kernel for the mini pro, but not for the mini unfortunately.
in terms of the rage kernel, thanks for pointing out the wifi modules! completely overlooked them! i know i have some random modules on my sd card, but cant remember where they are from!! ha!
will flash the kernel (which is really meant for CM9, but seems ok) and modules tomorrow! hopefully if all works well i wont need a specific jellybean kernel after all!
cheers for the help(clicked the thanks) and if you know of an extended xperia mini kernel then point it my way!

Fxp cm7 pure install

Hi all,
I would like to know where I can find the following things so that I can flash a CLEAN & CLEAR CM7 (Gingerbread) by FXP on my x10.
1) KERNEL
2) WIFI MODULES (If needed)
3) ROM
4) GAPS
I've been through their google site of Free Xperia Project but it's a bit confusing and I haven't seen anything about FXP Kernel. If someone could clarify and give me some links I would be gratefull.
Thanks in advance!
Extract the rom zip file then use flash tool bundle creation to create desired kernel..

[Q] Wifi doesn't work with LuPuS kernel for CM9

Hi all, my phone is a Xperia Mini st15i and I installed CyanogenMod 9.1 stable, I decided to try the lupus kernel and it works fine , the problem is that the WiFi does not work , I tried to flash a zip containing the modules to work the kernel and wifi with anything. And so asked if a solution to the wifi working again.
Greetings to all!

It seems to be a kernel problem because even other people are having this same problem as you can see in the thread. So, you can either use the kernel within the zip or try using Mesa kernel.

open terminal emulator :
Code:
lsmod
if it doesn't answer anything, maybe /system is out of space and kernel fails to copy wifi modules at boot (note that undervolt module wont work either)
try the following :
open any file explorer that is root capable,
go to /system/media/audio/ringtones
delete some ringtones (at least to recover about 3 or 4 MB free, the more is safer) [1.5 MB seems to be enough though ]
reboot
try lsmod and see, if the kernel succeeded to copy modules at boot it's ok and and lsmod outputs what you are waiting for, if not reflash kernel and/or try to install a reduced miniCM10 zip (by deleting ringtones as for the previous way, but in a zip editor)
Or refer,...

It is because you are using nAa 2.6.32.60 05 Kernel, and MiniCM 4.0.2 supports nAa 2.6.29.6 kernel. It is because they have different wifi drivers. Install MiniCM10 4.1.0 instead and it will work fine.
