FLASHING CWM/STOCK RECOVERY
NEEDED - http://www.mediafire.com/?rqc3vi41z6xx439
#Copy the downloaded image file to the folder in your PC where you have set up ADB and fastboot.
#Rename the file to recovery.img
#Turn off your phone. Enter fastboot mode by holding the Power and Volume + button for some time.
#Release both buttons when you see a green screen on your phone.
#Plug in the phone to PC using USB cable, wait for the drivers to install and finish setting up.
#If you are in Windows XP, open command prompt and browse to the folder where you have setup ADB. Or if you are in Windows7/8, hold shift then right click in the ADB folder and click to open command prompt there.
#Type this in the command prompt :
Code:
fastboot devices
#This should display your device name in fastboot mode, if nothing is shown, then you have to check previous steps again.
#Type this command to flash CWM recovery to your phone :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
#It will show the progress and completion dialogue within seconds when it finishes successfully.
#That’s it! CWM Recovery has been installed successfully. Now you can try if CWM is working by entering recovery mode as follows :
#Remove battery of your phone and reinsert.
#Press Power and Volume+ buttons and keep holding it for some time.
#When you see a green screen, you can leave the power button but keep holding Volume+ button.
#Now you will shortly see a red screen, then press the Home button on your phone.
#You should see CWM now, otherwise try the whole process again. Once you are inside CWM, use your volume keys to navigate the options and power button to make selections.
FLASHING STOCK BOOT
#Go to fastboot mode as explained above.
#make sure your device is shown in command prompt
Code:
fastboot devices
#copy the boot.img to the fastboot folder
#flash the boot sector with the boot image
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
##remember the last part of the code may be modiffied according to the boot image name
Code:
fastboot flash boot stockboot.img

This method is not safe. You are lucky coz the mmcblk partition was same as the recovery partitions I extracted. If it were another partition then you could have bricked your device. Advisable is the fastboot method. It will already find the recovery partition for you

Then it means I was really lucky.
Btw, though everything is fine in cwm recovery ( I even backed up my current Rom through cwm), rebooting through recovery takes about one minute. I mean when I click on reboot option in recovery, it says rebooting but this screen is there for about 1 minute then actually the reboot happens. Can this be associated with my method of flashing?

Possibly it can be coz of the flashing method. Flash it with fastboot then see if it improves
EDIT:i clocked my reboot time to recovery. its around 45-50 sec. so its not a matter.may be it takes time to shutdown due to applications running.

Sprint M9 Android 6.0 Leak

Introduction
This is a Sprint android 6.0 sense 7 leak. Everything is included in this Zip. Firmware, system img, boot img, latest SuperSU and a read me text file with detailed steps to install. I also have a mod pack by me if anyone is interested, with full apm, prism menu, brightness slider, right pull down, always show menu and search, long press options for several buttons, clear all in card view recent apps, and extra settings options
Features
Android 6.0
HTC Sense Version 7
Software Version 3.33.651.2
Latest SuperSU
Sprint_M9_Android_6.0.zip
How to install
Read the read me text file but I'll write it here as well
Copy 0PJAIMG.zip to root of external storage
Copy boot and system img to root of internal storage
Copy SuperSU v2.62 zip somewhere either on internal or external storage
Boot into download mode and update firmware ( I did this twice)
Boot into recovery and open terminal to flash the boot and system img
adb shell enter
dd if=/sdcard/boot.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot
dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system
Then flash the new SuperSU v2.62 zip
Then reboot to android M. DO NOT INSTALL SU FROM TWRP POPUP. CHOOSE DO NOT INSTALL
Any confirmation on this, testing?
EDIT:
I can confirm that 4.1 Venom boots. I pushed the firmware, using fastboot, pushed recovery, flashed 4.1 Venom.
Thanks for the leak.

Thanks so much

It's letting you choose a directory to open terminal in. Just check the folder check box in the root directory when you first choose terminal. Then
adb shell enter
Then do these for boot and system one at a time and enter
dd if=/sdcard/boot.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot
dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system
Boot goes fairly quickly but system will take a few

Quick Questiions
I'm on a stock bootloader-locked device on 2.11.651.19.
Q1. I'm planning to Unlock Bootloader > Root > Install TWRP. Then will I be able to install this ROM with S-ON?
Q2. I don't have an external (micro SD card). The method says "copy 0PJAIMG.zip to root of external SD card". Will this work if I use the internal memory?
I've had flashing experience with non-htc devices but this is a different game. I'll appreciate some community support. Thanks.
radio firmware
So it looks to me the radio is the same version as the 2.11 release. Anyone else notice trouble with the radio when connected to lte band 41? a lot of time i get no data throughput, reminds me of the previous radio released by sprint/htc for the m9 about 6 months ago when b41 had all sorts of trouble. Just throwing that out there, wondering if anyone else is seeing the same . Love the look so far, i am glad they made sense look like it does for the A9. That was my favorite thing about the A9 how the status bar has been scaled back a bit on the sense side and looks more like vanilla.
In the included "read me" text file it states that the system and boot images can also be flashed through bootloader. Since this is the way I flash firmware due to the sd card method not working for me I decided to go this route. I flashed firmware twice as I always do and I recieved no errors. I flashed both system.img and boot.img the same way and again no errors. I then booted in recovery and flashed the SU zip but it gave me errors trying to patch boot. I tried to reboot and got nothing. It kept booting back into recovery. I went ahead and reflashed system and boot using the terminal in TWRP. Then I flashed SU and this time it took a much longer time and didnt display the patching boot errors. Its been on the HTC One splash screen for over 10 minutes now. Not sure how much longer to wait before I hit the panic button. Seems to be alittle longer to boot than I remember from other clean installs.
Where do we find the mods such as APM?
UPDATE ...So after about 20 minutes still stuck on HTC screen. Went back to recovery to try again. When I type adb shell in TWRP terminal, it says adb not found.
2nd UPDATE...the 2nd try same result. Hangs on the HTC screen for 30 minutes. Restored my Badboyz rom and will wait for a flashable zip or the final release.

Hey kinghunki you hav ported sense 7 in the past ,can you do the same with sense 8
That would be great

Thank you very much, Its hard to find good devs like you in here. Well I havent flashed it , but to know its here is a big relief.
My phone have an issue now, bootloop at optimizing apps ( official android 6 ) looks like a corrupt install, correct me if am wrong, I tried everything wipe cache,data factory reset..., and since its 6 , i cant find any RUU , is there anyway to fix this, even if I find the culprit app I wont be able to remove it, no root. But since warranty is over I can unlock and root if required.
And for strange reasons factory reset doesnt show a progress bar, the phone restore symbol turns but usually there is a progress bar ( was when was in 5 ) its not there.
I have a lollpop firmware in hand, but will downgrade be possible? does it come with a stock rec? will adb firmware flash be able to downgrade?
please help me out, I like to think I'm not a noob so throw me anything you have in mind.
Htc desire 820u (Q615) android 6.0.1 official update. And yes I do get past the optimizing apps sometimes ( very rarely ).

Welcome to HTC family.
From MM to Lollipop downgrade is feasible but I suppose yours may not work. It has to be custom made.
Anyway, do it as follow -
- unlock your device
- flash custom recovery from this thread
- wipe cache, dalvik-cache, android-sec, data including internal sd (take sd backup if required)
- reset the device

Okay
Anyway found the solution & issue.
Its the CPU temp, the choke point is set to 60 deg, which basically was not there! (or wasn't there that much heating before?) , and when the phone switches on, the temp rise up due to high brightness, blah blah..., and drain battery causing more temp, so it restarts before it can complete, I put it close to the A/C and it completed. Donno why, I never had this issue before. The best part is I rooted and unlocked the phone for no reason whatsoever , well I guess I will have to find a way to make updates available, using stock ruu when it hits XDA and methods from fine devs in here, S-Off still not available .

[Recovery] Official TWRP for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) with S-Pen (gtanotexl)

Team Win Recovery Project 3.0.2-0
This is for the SM-P580 (gtanotexlwifi) and SM-P585, SM-P585N0, SM-P585M, SM-P585Y (gtanotexllte) Exynos models only! Do not flash on other models!
WARNING #1: Flashing a custom recovery to your device will trip the Knox warranty bit on your phone. Check with your mobile provider to see if they will still cover warranty on Knox bit triggered devices. If you understand this risk, continue on.
You generally don't have to worry, as it's incredibly hard to brick a Samsung device, and physical damage warranties should be exempt from Knox triggering.
WARNING #2: The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) stock boot image has dm-verity, which prevents you from booting if you swipe to enable system modifications!
SOLUTION: Follow the full rooting steps below, in order, to allow system modifications without the risk of a boot loop!
WHAT IS TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, and root your device.
DOWNLOAD
You can find the device page here:
WiFi version: http://teamw.in/devices/samsunggalaxytaba101wifi2016spen.html
LTE version: http://teamw.in/devices/samsunggalaxytaba101lte2016spen.html
There is a download link there, as well as instructions on how to flash it.
I highly recommend using Odin 3.12.3+ to flash when possible.
You can find a zip containing Odin as well as a link to Samsung's Mobile drivers page here:
https://build.nethunter.com.com/samsung-tools/
FULL STEPS FOR OBTAINING ROOT
Follow these instructions until someone nice comes along and makes a video from them (without ads):
In your ROM, go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now go to Settings -> Developer options. (above About device)
You need to enable OEM unlock, otherwise you might end up with boot problems or be unable to flash later on.
Do not ever turn off Developer Options or OEM unlock. Doing so will cause your device to refuse to boot and require a full factory restore.
Extract Odin_3.12.3.zip to your computer.
Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers for Odin to find your device.
Download a .tar image of TWRP for gtanotexlwifi (WiFi) or gtanotexllte (LTE).
Reboot your device into Download mode. To do this, select reboot from the power menu and hold the [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] buttons while your device reboots.
Once you reach the Download mode warning screen, press [Volume Up] to continue.
Open Odin and place that TWRP tar file in the [AP] slot and disable Auto-Reboot, then press [Start].
Hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] to get out of Download mode and immediately swap to [Volume Up] when the screen blanks.
If you don't see then TWRP boot splash try again from step 6.
At this point, you will reach the screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.
By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow step 10 you will be unable to boot!
If you are going to root your device and follow the rest of these steps, then it is safe to swipe right and enable modifications.
If you want to be rooted with SuperSU:
Download the latest SuperSU by Chainfire.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the SuperSU zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
--- or (not both) ---
If you only want a bootable system partition or writable data in TWRP:
Download the latest dm-verity and force encryption disabler zip.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
Go to [Reboot] -> [System].
Wait 2-5 minutes for your device to finish setting itself up.
* MTP, known as Media Transfer Protocol, is the same way you transfer files from your PC to your device when booted into system.

It's possible to use this metod with T585 ?
Working very well on my tab A 10.1 P585Y.. bug.. cant read internal storage but it can use sd card..
I already root my tab a 10.1 p585y using this twrp.. thanks for making this recovery for our p585y.. now we need custom rom such as resurrection remix..
Worked well
Followed the instructions carefully and I'm now rooted! The swipe bar in TWRP seemed to have a little problem. When I first swiped it didn't stick and floated back over to the left side. I tried with my finger several times and then with the spen. It finally registered. It did the same swiping to install SuperSU. Not sure if it just was slow in registering the swipe or something with my system. I was a little nervous when I rebooted but all seems to be well. Thanks for the guide!
Is there a link to the firmware for the device (SM-P580)? Rooting it and installing TWRP all went well while following the directions, but using App2SD to fix some system apps caused a "Verification Failed" error. Stupid mistake... now I gotta reinstall the ROM, but I can't find it anywhere.
Anyone tried installing "adoptable storage fix" from Tab S2 forum (see link below)?

I haven't found a good stock ROM yet (proper US version). No way I'm rooting my tablet before that.
My current tablet is untouched (in terms of custom recovery and ROMs). Is there a way of pulling out a stock ROM from it?

It is not your system - I had the same issue with the swipe bar. Like you, I tried several times and it finally accepted the swipe (even the pen had a few non-registering swipes).
Hi, can you plz update the links. Cuz idlekernel.com is currently not reachable nor the page of your source code for kernels :-/
And I remain highly unclear if I need a kernel for this dm-verity thing or not. I don't understand the issue reg. system boot partion. What is this? Android is already installed on the TabA - so what should I change there? Or is it for root apps?
If you want to root your tab and install TWRP you need the Kernal to turn off dm-verify and encryption. Do it in the exact order in the OP and don't let your tab try to boot rooted without turning off dm-verify.

Yeah, that's what I expected. But this mod also replaces sm binary, so I suspect that this should enable converting to adoptable storage through adb shell (so-called S7 trick). Have you tried that?

Restore your stock boot image. Apply the patch. Format your SD card as portable storage, reboot.
Look out in status bar for an SD card notification.
If you don't see it go to settings>storage. Tap the SD card choose format then internal.
thanks.. working well but it say that i already use 91% of my storage.. now i just need to install app.. im using enable adoptable storage zip then i put command using adb..

Take that with a pinch of salt. Make sure you migrate your data to the sdcard.

FAQs
Q. How boot on recovery?
A. With the device turned off, press power and vol- at same time until it vibrates.
Q. Does it works with Z3 dual sim?
A. It should work, since Z3 and Z3 dual sim are like 99% the same device, but is not tested (yet) so you Z3 dual users have to test it and report.
Q. Does it works with stock or custom ROMs?
A. At this momment I know that it is fully compatible with stock ROMs (or stock based ROMs) but at this momment is not tested with custom ROMs, so you users have to test it and report.
Thank you so much for the latest TWRP for our device. I use it with official CarbonROM from
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/orig-development/8-1-x-carbonrom-cr-6-1-t3771546
and it works like a charm. The only recovery I could find, which enables full-featured OTA updates and installation of ROM and GApps without up- and downgrade cycle.
Keep up the good work
Jo
Thanks for your work bro
I noticed after using this recovery on Z3 dual that when I flash a custom rom, baseband version and imei codes disappear

Can you mount data partition? If not, then you coud try to format data.
@ShadowElite so its a recovery for Android 6 Mashmallow compatible with higher Android versions? amazing. EDIT: doesn't boot up.
Hi. Thanks for your work.
I installed this TWRP on my Sony Xperia Z3 (D6603) running Marshmallow 6.0.1 (23.5.A.1.291) and it only booted in recovery mode. Then i installed OMNI ROM (7.1.2) and since then it only boots into system. Is there any way to boot recovery mode and also have the system working? Anything to flash? Thank you in advance.
This recovery is compatible with carbon, but with omni results with sim not being detected for me.
This recovery working on d6633????
At first... my English is not good. SRY.
LOOK..
my TWRP is 3.0.2-0. (on 23.5.A.1.291)
I attempted to install TWRP_3.2.3-0 with TWRP is 3.0.2-0. It was successful
but, after reboot phone and back too TWRP, No change! my TWRP version still 3.0.2-0!!!
What to do???
I can not update from TWRP 2.8.0.1 to 3.x.x.x. ,please help...

Turn your phone off. Then, hold its volume up button whilst connecting it to the computer through an USB cable, until you notice its led lighten up in blue color. Let's suppose your TWRP image file is named recovery.img. Then, in a terminal command window, enter:
fastboot flash FOTAKernel recovery.img
Replace recovery.img by the actual name of your TWRP image file. And everything else is case sensitive. If you have a Windows computer and don't have the fastboot command yet, search xda for 'Minimal adb & fastboot'.
To enter TWRP after flashing it, starting with your phone turned off, hold both the power and volume down buttons. When your phone vibrates (as if it was being turned on), release the power button. Some seconds later, release the volume down button.

Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project or TWRP for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Easy selection of internal/external storage
In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.
We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

Something more serious problem is going here. After boot into your twrp once, and then reboot to system by adb reboot, My device stuck at bootloop. At last, after factory reset(Originally installed bootstrap recovery), my device got blackscreen bricked. I need to handle this problem first.
Edit: My device can not boot into system now but I could managed get into your twrp again. So I attached dmesg file. https://www.mediafire.com/file/tassxmx7fac9qwm/dmesg.txt/file

If you mean that I should flash your twrp on boot partition, It also not fix touchscreen issue. Here is the log when your twrp actually flashed on the device.

Actually all supported touch screen firmwares were already included in both of my recovery and ROM, and those are extracted from STOCK ROMs, so it shouldn't happen...
Do you have your C6833 stock rom backup file that i can take a look?
