I decided to start modifying KTweaker today so I could start testing some adjustments to the stock kernel and decided to share and give you guys that are coming from my S3 stuff the KTweaker user interface you are used to :highfive: :good:.
Of course hardly any of the KT features work since we are stuck on stock kernel forever, lol, but here are the things that work and you can set them on boot of course which is nice.
1. Boot Options
2. Backup
3. Restore
4. General Screen -> Min and Max Mhz
5. General Screen -> I/O Scheduler
6. General Screen -> I/O Scheduler Adjustments
7. General Screen -> CPU Governor
8. General Screen -> CPU Governor Adjustments
Stay out of "Voltage" screen or it will just FC on you.
Also, just answer No to all the questions when starting the app for the first time
You can only change settings in the General screen if you are rooted, if you are NOT, then nothing is going set.
See Post #3 for my current settings.

Change Log 5.20.2013
1. Add support for all 4 cores on necessary settings
2. General clean up to stop crashes in certain screens
3. Added "Load Defaults" support for SGS4 (DO NOT use this yet, its only for the guys that are using my kernel)
Change Log 5.16.2013
1. Initial release
2. Modded CPU's online to support more than just 2 cpu's
3. Fixed resolution issues with images and text on 1080p screen.

My settings
General Screen
governor = ondemand
scheduler = CFQ
General -> Governor Adjustments Screen
sampling_rate = 45000
up_threshold = 70
up_threshold_any_cpu_load = 60
up_threshold_multi_core = 50

Thanks ..nice. Something to try. Thanks for your settings also. I'm giving it a spin.
Update, this thing is sweet..phone is screamin..good work.

I'll post again when everything is up otherwise, I will use my mirror.
Webserver seems to be back up. I will monitor for a while and if it goes down again I will post mirror.

The Facebook integration remains so you should be able to use Friendstream. Other than that download Facebook from the market if you want the whole app. If you have problems let me know; I am not big in Facebook so I did everything based off theory.

Let me know if anything pops up. Sorta nervouse as this is first run on the Rezound!

I have been using it for about four hours... It did freeze one time but I attribute that to bad reception or something. The phone was bouncing between no signal, 1x, 3G, 4G. I pulled the battery and it seemed fine since. And it was also after I came back from flashing a boot / recoverery.img. So I am not sure.
How is your signal right now?
When you say after 5 minutes do you mean after 5 minutes of boot time or 5 minutes of constant use?
Well let me just say that I've never flashed a rom before, or even customized an android phone beyond just rooting it, and this couldn't have been any easier. Thanks again man, I'm playing with it right now and its pretty smooth.

This!
Same position as you, just dirty flashed 1.6 from 1.5 and immediately flashed this kernel after i booted up first.. Seems like my battery is draining bad but idk if its due to new rom, kernel, use, or the fact that i now have 1%battery mod i can actually see the percentage going down lol

Hands on with CM10.2 Jelly Bean 4.3 for the HTC One -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?edit=vd&v=UhvYjD8o22k
Didn't get a build out yesterday however I will today. The biggest issue I've found so far while listening to music video wired headphones when you open an app the sound will fade in and out. Other then that WiFi works notification sounds work. Haven't tried BT. Haven't tested auto brightness either. Camera and focul both work. Camera now shows full screen when capturing pictures however Focul still cuts off top and bottom.
Screenshot works now as well.
Update: disabling touch sounds fixes audio fade in/out. Also in call audio works.

I'm on it but not too much to customize. Really too simple rom
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Installed this ROM recently after upgrading my Nexus 7 (grouper) to 4.4.
On the Note 2 I:
1) Backed up stock in ClockworkMod Touch.
2) Flashed the ROM
3) Flashed Paranoid Android's 4.4 compatible Google Apps
4) Flashed SuperSU
5) Factory Reset in CWM
booted that Sumamabich up...
Then:
1) Let Play Store download all my apps
2) enabled Developer Options and changed the runtime to ART.
After reboot:
1) Tried Camera..system DID NOT reboot.
2) As many have noted, "Recent Apps" does not function when the Home button is long pressed. You have two options that do not require modifying build.prop:
a) Download an app from the playstore (like "recentapps) to shortcut to this menu. Or
b). Install Nova Launcher (other launchers may also allow this functionality) to enable gestures. I set "double tap" to open the recent apps menu.
So far, everything else works great. I've noted significantly better battery life over stock 4.1.2 and a subjective performance boost. ART has caused no glitches thus far.
I would have put this in the ROM post in the OD forum, but I can't post there yet.

I didn't realize CM 11 camera was available in June 2007. You learn something new every day...

Running Great here, I dirty flashed PA 4.0 over CM11. Wanted long press recents, I have had no issues. I am using ART. Today I unplugged from the charger at 5:30 AM and have been using it off and on to take pictures, read and send email, Install a few apps, and facebook. I even have location on high accuracy. Battery still 85% 48min screen on time 5h 49min on battery. Sweet!
CM11
Worked great for me too, a little buggy but battery life was phenomenal!
I have been running it for last 3 days and it works awesome so far, I did a clean install using latest clock works mod,
only thing not working is proximity sensor for me. everything else is awesome!!!!

Qualcomm-optimized Dalvik. Maybe better than ART

So as a Nexus 7 2013 owner, i stumbled upon a thread linked to another thread with optimized dalvik files for qualcomm chips in the Nexus 4 and moto x. People found it to work in the Nexus 7 since it has a pretty similar chip. I then ventured and decided to try it on the S4 since its chip is also pretty similar to that of the Nexus 7. After flashing, it runs just as well as ART, maybe better. According to quadrant (I'm not a big benchmark person, but it does help from time to time), the increase was pretty big. Screenshots of that will be below. Another awesome thing is that since it's dalvik, apps that were broken with ART should work. I tested this with Tasker, but your results COULD differ, but I'm betting they will all work. So you can now get the performance of ART (or better) with all of the app compatibility we all need. These flashable zips only work on 4.4 so don't go flashing them on an earlier version. There is a Q & A section in the main thread where most questions should be able to be answered.

Optimized Dalvik:
A HEADS UP ON THE BENCHMARKS
So i just remembered the benchmarks ran were done with my max CPU clock down to 1566 on KT kernel. So with that in mind, running with 1566 max and getting this high of an improvement? That's pretty insane.
For those who would like to see a bench of stock clock before making the jump, here you go
So these are confirmed working on the S4? I remember trying to flash the optimized dalvik about a week ago and the phone would not boot up. But I also flashed the N4 dalvik version lol.

I confirmed it for me after I made a back up haha. Everything runs just fine and didn't have bootloops. Grab the two files from the first post on that thread I linked and you should be fine, but always backup just in case

Just tested this and it deff brought my quadrant score up by about 3,000. I'm gonna test it for the day and let you know what I think, so far I'm impressed. Thanks for this!

Ah, how I wish I was on a 4.4 ROM with my S4 instead of stock MJ7. I did this with my N7-Flo and it worked great.
noticeable improvement on s4 running gummy

Yep this working well with kitkang by euroskank with ktoonsez latest kernel.

Did everyone flash both patches, bionic and dalvik?

Well considering I went 1 day 14 hours, almost 4 hours screen time, and 14% left on the stock battery, it worked out pretty well for me.

The method of building runtime wouldn't really affect battery.

The point of it is that all the apps code is already in machine language so the phone isn't constantly converting byte code each time you open an app or do any action with it. That does improve battery life.

I thought that had to be programmed on a per app basis?

I don't believe so. If that were the case, it wouldn't be practical for every app in existence to have to be re-coded to work with art.

It doesn't , I just looked it up. You should read the android police article about ART though. They said right now it probably has more overhead than Dalvik because Google included a bunch of logging data to check stability rather than extensive optimizations.
