Cm 10.1 volume rocker - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi ! i need a flashable zip or something like this to activate volume rocker in epinter cm 10.1 with 3.1 kernel( wake up with volume buttons because my phone slept in the water ane power button doesn't work anymore ) and i don't find this in the settings .please help me

Read the information given before posting or opening new threads. It has already been mentioned several times no such thing exists for that ROM yet. CM10.1 is in early alpha stage, it is way too soon to make requests like this. It will have that feature when the dev gets around to doing it.

Hey there actually is a solution to this , its to flash the cm9 with the 3.1 kernel and then flash cm10.1 without wiping, some guy mentioned it in the forum and it works, can't remember his name or I'd give him his credit

well the rom link does not work, i would just take a look at the development section and use one of the roms marked 4.0.3 i like Android Open Kang Project see my sig for my set up
Not sure what you've found there it seams that at the very least in addition to missing links it is missing some basic steps such as installing Clockwork MOD or another alternate recovery and the steps to get into recovery are incorrect as the 3 button combo for the Vibrant is volume up and down and the power button, releasing when the Vibrant logo appears. I'm currently using ICS Euphoria and love it, and yes is was compiled from the AOKP listed above, as well ICS Passion works very well I would take the time and read up on the options in the development section and follow all steps listed for the individual ROM you decide to try.

[Q] Wake on Volume Mod

I saw in the thread on the Saurom ROM that there is a CWM flashable zip for waking the Note using the volume keys - when I was using Saurom it worked brilliantly (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1522942)
I have now switched to the Collective Unofficial - could this mod also be used to wake up an ATT Note with the Unofficial ROM? I am not experienced enough to understand the possible dangers of flashing this mod blindly so I would like to rely on someone more experienced than me to give an opinion.
TIA
Give me the android.policy.jar file from GB and I'll see what I can do about making it work with ICS.

The Collective Unofficial is a Gingerbread ROM but I sent you an email with the jar and the original zip file attached.
Could the ICS vol wake up be posted also? I am using the Noteworthy ROM.

Volume wake is enabled by default on skyrocket, as long as the lock screen isn't enabled. As u guys ported ours, did u enable it?

Its an issue that we are working on.. a work around is if you are in phone mode or phablet mode in your pull down notification scroll to the right and there is a toggle to reboot.. we have v7 fixed now but we are adding some more mods..be patient and it should be released soon. Thank you for your patience

reckon you didn't fully read the OP
quoting from the OP:
"This is the MOON ROM ported for the GT N7105 ( ATT and Singtel / Starhub / M1 currently confirmed working ) "
rom sometimes crashes and a alien head appears.. Anyone encounter this?
This happens for me when I long press the power button to open the shutdown/restart menu (as mentioned above). However, I have had no random shutdowns.
This is a really solid ROM for me, and I can only hope we will get more updates in the future. Or at least another TW-based tablet ROM.

Is the fix.zip on this thread the same as the test.zip on the original thread?

[Q] A few questions after successfully upgrading XU to Unoffical JB v3

Hi,
Firstly sorry for being a complete n00b -- I'd have asked this question in the dev forum but I'm not permitted at this point.
Anyway, I've followed the information on this forum and the wiki and have successfully unlocked my bootloader, rooted my phone, installed a custom recovery and used it to flash DevSwift1's awesome Unofficial Jelly Bean v3 rom. So far, so good.
Overall I am extremely happy with the rom, with the small exception of the LED bar which doesn't work quite like it used to. I know there are issues with it as DevSwift1 clearly says "it will never work like in ICS" but I'd just like to confirm that what I'm seeing is what is expected; (I have Rundgong's Illumination Notification app by the way) where it used to "strobe" the LED bar it now just "blinks"?
With the above in mind, would a custom kernel (such as Phantom) make any difference to this situation?
Finally, if I were to try the Phantom kernel but want to go back to the kernel that came with the JB v3 rom how would I be best doing that as I only have a zip which contains the whole rom, not just the kernel and from what I can see, CWM will only flash an entire zip?
Thanks to everyone for all their hard work on these things -- my phone is now actually usable for the first time since leaving GB!
You don't need to install the whole system if you want to turn on stock kernel. Just open the file with the Rom you downloaded with winrar, extract kernel.elf and flash it using flashtool.
As about the led lights, check this thread that are also included some other useful tools http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256411. The devs managed porting light effects from Xperia sp but it's still under development.
As for other kernels mate you have to check the threads if they managed making led bar working. Don't remember at all.
Hope helped you. For any question fell free to ask

Awesome
I've just flashed the Phantom kernel and although it's literally only been a few minutes I'm already very happy with the result.
First and foremost, the LED bar is now working (very nearly) perfectly, which was my main motivation for trying this kernel as it's something I really liked and got a lot of use out of. For anyone else that's put the Unofficial Stock Sony Jelly Bean v3 ROM from DevSwift1 on their Xperia U I highly suggest getting the Phantom kernel by Pwng3 as well.
The only other issue I have, which is still present even with the new kernel, is that if I'm using the Walkman app to listen to music and then use the Google search widget to search for something the music will suddenly stop, although it appears the Walkman app is still running (you can see the icon in the notification bar). Also, after this has happened I get a 'redraw' of the home screen -- it's almost as if it's run out of memory but when I check I always seem to have 100+MB left. Anyone else noticed anything like this?

first thing.....explain wut u mean by no desktop? like no homescreen or no navigation bar on the bottom that allows u to go back or the home button (the house icon).
second thing.....if its the no navigation bar then thats a common problem with some nook tablet models.
third thing....make sure u are using cwm 6.0.4.5 to flash
fourth thing.....try flashing demetris's unofficial cm11 or go to cyanogenmod.org and start downloading the newest nightlies provided by the same guy who made the old cm11 version that u are using now.
get back to me with a thorough explaination on wut u see and are experiencing and i might be able to help u.

Sorry took so long for me to get back to you, OK. the problem i was having was after i did the usual procedure to flash a rom, i was not getting any App launcher icons nor were there any widgets I.E. Time, or Date.. .I was even able to reboot and flash the gapps in 10-31-2013 Still wasnt working. Thank you much for the quick response time.
So by now, after 5 or more times flashing all this stuff I finally tried the last suggestion you made and woohoo it worked. What needed to be done was to make sure i had 6.0.4.5.Flashed .. Got it flashed and running as expected.
Again, Thanks Alot for the knowledge you shared with us here at the community newbtrigger69
