Better album viewer than stock or QuickPic? - AT&T HTC One (M7)

The stock gallery app annoys me as it does a lot of people with the FB portion, but what also annoys me is how it arranges the photos in my albums. I like QuickPic because I can arrange my photos in my albums from the app, but I cannot send an MMS from that app. Is there an app that will allow me to send MMS from within the app, and also serves as a good album viewer?

Try Just Pictures.
I like it as much as quick pic. I think you can share from it.

Just downloaded it, looks very nice. When I try to send it as MMS there it gives me a list to share the picture, but the text icon is not listed in there.

I just downloaded Gallery ICS, which is the older style i prefer from AOSP

Same problem as the stock gallery app in that it arranges my pictures weird.

Not for me.. it just puts them in different folders (based on actual folders in the drive), and arranges from newest to oldest. I hate how sense separates them into date folders

Best gallery app? QuickPic

Just a heads up to everyone... if you haven't tried the app Quick Pic on your NC, you owe it to yourself to do so. It is by far the fastest and most responsive gallery app I've ever used on Android. Period.
It also makes a fantastic comic viewer if you've unzipped all of the comic images into their own folders.
For your convenience, I've attached the apk.

That one?
Awesome, thank you for sharing!
It's called QuickPic (Picture Folder) in the Market.
thanks! have to give it a try ... stupid question, is there an easy way to uninstall any of the apps and it will do a clean uninstall.
first time playing with android and installing apps left and right but I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do
Okay, that is a fantastic application. Finally, a way to manage mass amounts of photo data.
_Thank_you_
Wow, this app is awesome. Its like gallery app on steroids. It is beyond snappy or responsive. Thanks OP.

You'll need Nook Color Tools -> All Settings -> Manage applications
i cannot find recent screenshots in my pic gallery using this app. I can only see then when using the original gallery app. Any Help?
after the recent update, quickpic now zooms on double-tap instead of single-tap. I don't like double-tapping/pinch2zoom all the time, do you know how to change it back to single-taps ?
I tried to find the homepage/forum of the developer to ask him that, but failed... -only found some chinese page
there is no settings/preferences button for this app, right?
QuickPic works good for local pictures, but does nothing with remote pictures. JustPictures works great for remote pictures (Flickr, Picasa), but always does a scan that takes quite a while for local pictures.
I use both, depends on what I'm doing.
I wish QuickPic had an option to not disable the status bar.
this app vs google's stock 2.1 gallery any comments?

I'm not sure exactly what the stock google 2.1 gallery is, but if it's the 3Dgallery, or the original Nook Color gallery, then the Quickpic app isn't quite as fancy, but it also hasn't choked on large quantities of very large photo files, which both of the prior mentioned apps couldn't handle. I also had problems with JustPictures choking on multiple folders with over 100 (5+mb) photos in each.
I would list Quickpic as more utilitarian. It does the job, and does it fairly well.
What about Floating Image?
It doesn't help when you want to find a particular image, but browsing a gallery is heavenly in that app.
Great suggestion
Thanks for suggesting this... I really like the Froyo 3D Gallery, but its not as smooth and some things are just annoying, especially when loading new pictures.
QuickPic is damn good for my needs.
i wish there was a good flickr app, with the same layout as quickpic. quickpic is awesome.

been looking for something like this, thanks for the suggestion!
Great app, was using just pictures until now which was far better than the standard gallery app.

[Q] Gallery problem

Hey Guys!
Can you offer me a great gallery app?
I have some problems with the original app.
I'd like that the gallery shows the pictures 'by date added descending'.
I tried 'Fish bowl photo gallery' and 'Gallery 3d' but I didn't like them.
Thanks in advance!
Try QuickPic. It's lightning fast and it can sort your pictures in many different ways.
The main flaw of QuickPic is that the lacks the "all pics" and "all movies" views of the stock gallery.
Thanks, It works fine.

How to clear the default picture viewer?

I have chompsms and I completely forgot what client I set to view pics with but when I look at pics that someone sends me mms they look super small. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
well they will generally always look small if you view the picture from the message since most phones resize images to minimize the amount of data that needs to be transferred for the MMS.
So the best way to view pictures from pic messages is to long-press the picture and select Save to SD Card or whatever it says
then
go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
and go to Gallery and Clear Defaults
if you have any other gallery applications, like QuickPic, do the same for that.
then when you click the picture it should ask which gallery you want to use to view it.
i recommend using QuickPic since the stock Gallery on 4.5.91 Android 2.3.4 is awful.

[Q] touchwiz gallery and picasa

Touchwiz gallery seems to pull pictures posted in Google+ into separate folders labeled by date posted as opposed to one folder labeled "Photos from Posts" like Picasa or stock ICS/JB does.
Attached is a picture of the folders I am talking about. It's the ones I wish to remove/hide.
Three questions:
Is there any way to have it do the same as stock and place them in one folder as well?
If not, is there any way to simply hide them while keeping the rest of the folders from picasa visible?
If not, is there a third party gallery that will allow me to do the above asked.
Any help is appreciated.

QuickPic is a really good gallery replacement app.
You can exclude folders so they don't appear at all. I normally exclude music folders because I don't like seeing album art in my gallery. You can also hide private folders. You can password protect the hidden folders too which is a plus.
It's free in the Play Store.

My Favourites album not working properly

Hi,
My Favourites album is not working properly (MM6/EMUI4)
Would like to tag some photos as Favourite and then use My Favourites album as selection for wallpapers and PhotoWidget, but not possible, My Favourites album is not shown on the selection list at all?
In Gallery application My Favourites album is shown just fine... but how to use it? Seems rather useless now..
thanks,
you can always change your music app for temp fix
have you hidden the album from view? or make a new album with the pictures

My Favourites album is not manually created, it's a "system folder" that gets created when you Fav some photos in Gallery using the Heart symbol..
I don't think it is an actual album/folder, but rather just shortcuts to the photos you have liked.. and that's the way it should work, just tag favorite photos instead of making copies of them..
but Photo widget and wallpaper selections doesn't seem to support that feature, seems like a bug.
Clear cache of the gallery app and try
