Hello everybody. I'm new up here so just tell me straight if I misunderstood something.
I've got SHIRU Emperor 10 tablet. I'm from Poland. I think this thing had came out only in easter countries.
As u should / or should not know, this is a clone of CUBE U30GT2. BUT...
I've noticed there are some cosmetic differences. For example in my SHIRU I'm not able to switch between HD and Normal Resolution.
This pad is really great, games work perfectly fine, even Moder Combat 4 installs itself with highest graphic details and it still runs smooth.
My first question:
Did someone invent the way to root this device? So I suspect that someone had already done it with CUBE. But what's up with SHIRU ?
And the second one is...
Is it possible to instal custom roms on shiru? Or should i ask, are there any custom roms on this device?

Just a note, your link is about the U30GT, the initial post is about the U30GT2, not the same device...
you're able to rooter your tablet?

That shouldn't be possible, it's not the same hardware.
But you may be able to install Windows Mobile, so you'll have a usefull iphone in that way

Hey guys,
I just rooted / installed CyanogenMod 7 and ... I don't really like it, not stable enough ...
I'm with Bell and the phone is GB 2.3.3 ... battery life is horrible and Bell had put tons of crap on it ... like GPS Nav when you have GMaps ...
Where can I find a 2.3.5 or 2.3.7 Stock rom without the carrier's crap (Samsung's stuff I don't mind).
I'm running a KG2 and CWM is on with root ATM.

This is a really well made video ... I have no skills in rom and that kind of stuff, I did my share of help when I have a HTC Touch on Windows Mobile 5 ...
I think the big misunderstood here is that since english is not my first language, sometimes it's hard to search with the proper keywords ... ok, I have key words, ROM, ROOT but digging deeper, it's harder for me, but it looks easy to you and I'm happy for you.

Up to you. If you are happy with WM, just keep it.
If you want Android (the best OS IMO ) then buy a Android phone.
With trading the TG01, I don't think you can get a good enough android phone. The TG01 isn't worth much. Sell it, raise some money and contribute it towards the new Android you are after. You wont regret it

There is a Korean rom somewhere but I would guess it has Chinese and Japanese language. Possibly someone knows where those things are in the rom, and how to move them? An Arabic port was made.

Yes u r absolutely right and for Chinese cheap smartphones I think "zopo" has best support specially ZOPO C2 looks gr8 http://www.zopomobileshop.com/

I can read a bit of chinese, and the user reviews in that forum are not encouraging. The forum is also pretty dead.
Some examples:
Rampant SODs and crashes (bluebo claims improvements in 6/19 ROM, but very little feedback thus far)
1 user has obvious dust below screen.
1 user seeing screen flickering under low light
1 user say shutter speed is slow
Users of previous models cussing and swearing that bugs are left unfixed
