Hello i have usb problem with my samsung galaxy 4. Whenever i conect to pc it shows that the batery is being charged it trys to conec, but it fails. And again he tries to conect and nothing. Just keep poping software was unsuccesful to instal. I tried my laptop, its allmost new. And works fine. What to do that my older computer worked on him. On this same computer galaxy s plus works fine. Maybe it has to have some new drivers or what? Thank you.

Maybe your old computer don't recognize the phone'si USB.
You need to change the model by hand.
When you connect the cable, select the data model.

It was working fine just 2 days ago. Kies is same, phone is same and so is phone OS. But now Kies or PC just doesn't detect phone. Phone starts charing, but no USB icon in notification. Reinstalled Kies as well but in vain.
Can someone tell me what went wrong. Turned off/on USB debugging, no result.
Happened to me once on Win7.
Start Odin. If the COM label gets yellow, than all is good.
Unplug and replug. Wait.
Try another USB port.
Restart Win7.
Don't ever have this issue under Ubuntu though. But sadly I've to fallback to Win7 to use Odin. ...

Hello everyone, as the topic name states, my galaxy s3 refuses to connect to kies.
The first time i attempted to connect it to the PC through USB cable kies told me, that my phone is locked and I need to enter unlock pattern, I did so, but nothing happened, connecting was shown for indefinite amount of time. So i disconnected the phone from usb manually. Restarted pc, fired up kies again and tried to connect the phone. Now every time I connect the phone kies simply shows connecting for a very long time without any errors, and on phone when its connected to the pc I get 'Connected as media device/or service - dont remember' notification. Whats my problem, and how do i fix that. Oh, and I'm running WinXP

Try installing these drivers https://www.dropbox.com/s/fm9b12xy3r0t07b/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.zip. After installation reboot the pc and reconnect the phone with Kies. It should be good now.

Small update of what has already been done to no avail.
Manually reinstalling samsung usb drivers
Connection troubleshoot from the tools menu in kies
Wiping cache on the phone
Ticking and unticking usb debug option in on of the setting submenus
Attempted to enable usb tethering...
As a side note, myphoneexplorer works perfectly fine. But it ends with that.

Try downloading the Samsung Kies Software, then try plugging in your device. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Kies software will download drivers for you. I'll try to look into some other solutions, but try Kies first. I hope it works for you.

Either that or look for the samsung usb drivers package which is a seperate installer that will install drivers for any samsung device, i prefer using that over kies.

I´ve got a problem with my galaxy player.GP-Y70 International Version :crying:
It doesn´t connect with the pc when i pluged in the usb of any pc, i´ve tried several pc´s, and the pc never recognize that i have just pluged in a device and the GP just get to charge but never shows up usb Connection, i also tried many usb cables 2 from samsung devices and 1 from motorola but nothing, the weird thing is that i just finished installing root with the superoneclick and when i rebooted into download mode to install cwm Odin didnt recognized it (i have all the drivers installed, and so Kies) then i rebooted into Android and my nightmares started, the usb connection is dead (for now) i can charged it, but i cant see it on any pc, i been searchin all over the web and found nothing,
BTW this Galaxy Player had the same problem before but my sister says she found a page where it said that she had to enter to download mode then to recovery mode and select the first option, and then she doesn´t remember and that it worked for her, but the page or the proceedure she followed is nowhere to be found. Also it had the problem that it just refused to charge the battery and it would just drained to death, so i left it several days charging with my Nexus 10 two amp charger until one day charged 100% :victory: and scince then it was fine.
So please help me!! :crying:
it turns out that i opened my galaxy player and cleaned out the main board with alcohol and closed it, so when i connected the player to the pc in download mode windows recognized it back again!

I am in desperate need of ya'llz help! Recently I followed the following instructions to the dot:

in order to get root on 10.4.1.B.0.109. I ended up, like the author of the thread, in the so called bootloop. Tried everything and eventually managed to get out and restored to root 4.1.2. Thats where I am now.
The tablet works fine, however i am unable to connect to my pc with USB and also unable to charge via the charger. The tab is not detected in my computer, nor PC companion. Mass storage mode nor media mode work. I tried swapping cables, same.
The only thing I am able to get working through USB is charging when the tab is powered off, which means that the USB port is not broken.
I was thinking that updating would fix the problem, so I tried updating directly from the System update in the tab. It downloads 109, then restarts to install it, comes back with: "Could not install"!
Now my tab is not detected on my PC when its on, what to do ? How to update/Fix the USB problem!?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Update
Ok I realized that the plugged cable only makes the red LED on the left light up, and when i click the power button, I see the battery picture in the display. Showing half charged. But the actual charge is not increasing.
Unplugging the USB, turns off the LED!
Help!
No ideas anyone? It charges from dead till medium. But no USB connection to the PC is possible! Cant update

put your sd card in an adapter, put that in your pc and copy a zip with a full rom on it, put it back in your tablet and install the rom? Or try a different usb cable, maybe it's broken

hold power + Vol+ to reset device and after that try to connect to pc to flash in flashtool.

Hi guys,
thanks for the replies. Ive tried those already. Ive tried all different types of roms. The problem is that you need a restore image such as dual recovery on the tablet. Its rooted but there is not way to install a recovery image on it, without using a computer. And since it wont connect to the PC, no way..
