Successfully Frozen Apps - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Now that we have some root access, I figured we could use this thread to report what apps we've successfully frozen/uninstalled, and using which app.
So far from using Rom Toolbox (Pro) I was able to freeze the following:
-Amazon
-Amazon Kindle
-Backup Assistant Plus
-My Verizon Mobile
-SEAndroid
-Setup Wizard
-Sync Service (backup assistant)
-Verizon Login
-Verizon Mobile Security
-Verizon Remote Diagnostics
-Verizon Tones
-Verizon Navigator
-Verizon Voicemail
-Voice Recorder
Uninstalled:
-NFL Mobile
-Audible
Cant find/figure out:
-Viewdini apk (no idea what this even is)
-VZW Mobile Hotspot apk
-Audible Re-installs itself.
Some of the apps were stubborn and needed to be frozen a couple of times for it to stick.

I have frozen via TitanBU:

Wow. You're such an android wizz. Teach us your mighty ways, brilliant one, because apparently we don't know anything about android, which is why we are rooting.

I dunno if you're joking or serious. Hard to tell, but from the way your write in all caps, have horrible structure, and have faces spread throughout your post, I'm inclined to think you're joking...or just really ignorant and/or stupid.

He's serious.
You do know that the built in disable feature cannot disable every app, right? Hence one reason some of us root out phones.

Disabling app is the same thing as freezing if YOU watched the Google videos from there YouTube channel they explained it but Google is not gona use the stupid word (freeze) so they went for (disable) its exactly the same effect and does exactly the same thing nothing different at all !

DUH!!!! Freezing is the same as disabling. I'm sure we all know that here on XDA.
I'm not going to continue this discussion because you obviously are too ignorant to know better as to why we want to root our phones and freeze/disable apps.

I could be mistaken but i think when you don't root, there isn't ALWAYS an option to disable an app. I know on my wife's phone there are some apps she has to leave in the app drawer because when you go to disable it, the "disable" button is greyed out. You can't click it.
If you root, you can disable EVERY app, even the ones with the greyed out buttons.
But i'm sure if i'm wrong you will correct me with all caps and annoying exclamation points

I feel dumber for reading this thread (past the first couple responses).

If only you could disable every app... On the S3 and Note 2 there are several pre-installed Google, Samsung, and Verizon apps that can't be disabled or removed without the use of root.

So do I open an app and place my phone the freezer and let it get frozen? And if I re-enable the app.. am I an enabler?

Just to clarify, by freezing applications it doesn't remove them, it just stops them from taking up system resources?

Correct.

All i have to say is one thing and hope this guy can comprehend .... If root is pointless to "freeze/disable" apps and only for flashing roms... then explain to us how you can disable Verizon apps without root (like VZ Backup Assistant) cause without root, the disable button is gone or grayed out.

wow...came here to see what apps people had uninstalled (instead of just freezing them) and all i got was dumber!
so...to try to salvage this thread....
what apps have you uninstalled without issue?
thanks

Att sgs ii market fix

So i am wondering. Does changing the build.prop to another device allow us to view ALL apps on the market. Because ATT is still blocking a lot of them. Or if not how.? I know this is a fairly simple task.

Can someone point out to me which apps are blocked. I feel like I'm missing out.. LOL
Is Google Talk one of the blocked apps? I mean you cannot see it in the market.
I can't see Google Talk on my marketplace, either. More disconcerting for me, though, is anyone else unable to see more than 20 or so apps when doing a search? It's like my marketplace isn't loading the next set of apps when I scroll to the bottom of a list.

My understanding is the GoogleTalk.apk was replaced by the new GoogleVoice.apk and integrated into one app.
isnt there a few apps that emulate other carriers market so you can see all the apps. like market enabler or market access

No - it is simply not available on the market an it never has been. That's why you see apps like Talk 1.3 Installer.
Note that you can see ANYTHING available on the market using market.android.com from a PC.

If you just disable the vcast apps, NFL Mobile will work fine

probably and advertisement that came from an app you downloaded. I hate those..
Find the app that is doing it, rate it 1 star then uninstall and find a better similar app where the developers aren't douchebags.
Having same problem. How do i find the app thats responsible?
I wouldn't know.. if it only happened recently and you installed apps recently I would start with those..
Maybe read comments on the apps you downloaded, many people will complain about it.
All the big apps are likely safe to assume they're not the one doing it. It's usually smaller apps, less known games that do it to bring in more money.
EDIT:
Actually I take that back. There is an app to see which apps are pushing those annoying advertisements:

I had the same issue and downloaded Addons Detector. I scanned for Push Notifications...and nuked the app responsible.
Google really shouldn't allow such crap into the market though. It takes away from the integrity of the app market.

Thanks for the tip on the app, downloaded it and found the app, It was a Battery Calibration app that had many people who had rated it as an air push app. What a pain in the ass those things are, they should be illegal. I have a rooted phone with adfree downloaded and it still came thru. Not any more, didn't need that damn app anyways.
Thanks again,

I'd recommend getting an antivirus software for Android.
Sadly even mobile phones nowaday need such software regardless of OS and manufacturer.
Either avast (free) or Dr.Web Beta (also free) are excellt and additionally report such Spammer apps.

I installed Wallet right from the Play Store... haven't rooted my phone yet.
1. Titanium backup

3. AutomateIt (it's like Tasker) now can control app specific GPS on/off toggle.
4. I'm going to debloat the crap out of the phone
5. GMD GestureControl (get my swipe to Alt-Tab between apps back)
I almost never get a phone before it's been rooted, and in the few days that I've used the note 3 without Root, I've come to realize that rooting is pretty important in my day-to-day usage.
