So far so good. Trying a theme right now.
The default dpi is TINY though. Going to have to play with the PA settings. To small for these old eyeballs.
Themes seem to be working.
F Yeah.

all seems to be working extremely well for me. thanks!!!
EDIT: the only thing i've found to not work is the stock camera app. crashes with "unfortunately, gallery has stopped."

Themes...DPI change...soft buttons...etc

And for those who may not like PA as their flavor... There are proof of concept builds available for demonstration/testing purposes while the official maintainers get going for AOKP and CM. Feel free to try them out - I'm keeping those on SXTP Developers since they'll go away when the official maintainers post theirs.

GPS is working. also just noticed though that WiFi tether does not work.
EDIT: well, GPS is mostly working... it has stopped fully locking on, but the middle of the circle is in the right spot at least.

This ROM is working perfectly, except for the camera. I can't change the DPI of the camera app (I thought that was the problem), but it doesn't even list it. I wonder if I could side load the camera app??

PAC-man ROMs
CandyKat ROMs

and everyone else working hard on the LGOG
Bugs:
I use these as daily drivers. I can't code at all, so squashing bugs is tough. Let me know and I'll try.
Installation:
You have to have been on stock 4.1.2 or LGNPST'd to it or teenybined your RPM/TZ partitions. Search or ask if you don't know what that's about.
Do a nandroid backup
Wipe: data, system, cache, dalvik
Flash PAC-man ROM
Flash GApps
reboot
restore apps and app data using TB or your another backup application if desired
Downloads:
PAC-geeb 10/13/14
CandyKat-geeb 10/13/14
To flash I recommend using my TWRP 2.8.1 build.
I would use the BaNkS 4.4.4 minimal Gapps.
I use the AT&T Jellybean radio.
Kernels:
AK geeb kernels for CM and AOSP mako based ROMS:
AK.360.geeb-cm.zip
AK.360.geeb-aosp.zip
AK gee kernels:
AK.360.gee-cm.zip
AK.360.gee-aosp.zip
To maximize the capabilities of these kernels, flash:
UKM,
install the Synapse app from the playstore,
and remove or disable Trickstermod, Faux control, or any in-ROM kernel control apps and settings.
If WiFi doesn't work after flashing the kernel, try flashing the Revert_4.4.3_Wifi_Fix.zip. It may fix WiFi on 4.4.2 ROMs and 4.4.4 ROMs that don't have the updated mako WiFi drivers.
These kernels won't work on gproj or E970 official ROMs based on gproj device sources. Ask me, your ROM dev, or just about any other experienced member on here if you don't know about compatibility.

They are both feature rich Roms. I wouldn't call either one vanilla...there are lots of things in both that are not in vanilla AOSP Roms. To me, it appears that Beanstalk uses CM and then modifies stuff, and PAC modifies from AOKP. I'm pretty much judging this from the layout of the system menu. Both are very feature loaded...similar but not identical feature sets. Beanstalk has a newer pie implementation. PAC has PAs per app DPI settings instead of using xposed for that.

Good point. Maybe vanilla wasn't the best descriptor. I meant there wasn't much on top of the AOSPA/CM/AOKP features.

Gotcha. Yep, I'd agree with that description.
From what I've seen, PACman, BeanStalk and RootBox are all pretty much different ways to "interpret" a hybrid of CM/AOKP/PA. The major stuff is pretty much all there in all of them, but each one has areas where the Dev prefers one implementation of something over another. It's really personal preference, I think, that determines which one is better for a given user.
Has anyone downloaded the 9-1 build? The filehost says 0 downloads for some reason.

Yep. Grabbed it last night for a trial run.
Only glitch I ran into was weather panel not displaying correctly in notification panel, buy I had messed with clearing data for Google services framework and apparently broke GPS while doing so. More than likely I caused the problem.

Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-12.0,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about and building CyanogenMod and Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

I'm assuming this will work on Sprint. If not there's a fix in both flashable zip form and a commit devs can use to get it working.

Yeah on AOSP based Roms, there's an extra commit that the devs need to include to get data to work on Sprint. I'm guessing in a couple weeks this won't be an issue as most of if not all Roms will have the fix included.

Make sure you are doing wipe BEFORE and not AFTER the flash (Wipe, flash, boot. NOT wipe, flash, wipe, boot). Check to make sure your IMEI is in place. If it is, confirm your APN settings. If it's not, that's a different story.

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
°°For those flashing custom kernels°°
Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!
Flash ROM
Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Profit!
You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

There isnt a thread for every device supported by Vanir. 48 to be precise. If you click the download link then go to the parent directory you'll see downloads for all supported devices. Here's the link to make it even easier: http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/:good:
About to flash, but does anyone know if IR is working on any of the builds?

Lightly themed. WiFi tether is working!
I'll get some screen shots up in a bit. Theming is mild and pleasant.

I agree, you have to actually pay attention to notice the theming but it's very nice

Good job man! BTW thanks for putting in a "missing features" part, I was looking through the aokp 4.4 threads in various forums and none of them have that.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the omnirom m7 kernel is customized to work with omni(ie different from the CM version) and not optimized to work with the DNA(because we share the same kernel) but I'm not a kernel dev so I could be wrong,
I'm gonna be building illusion(ultimatumKang? Uxylon?) Later today too

I'm proud to present my build of Vanir for the Nexus 6. Thanks to all those that have helped me learn what little I know about the internal workings of Android. Thanks to Google and Motorola for the amazing hardware and the Android with which we play. Thanks to the Vanir team for everything they do for the the community! Vanir's Google Plus page Here!
I will kill this thread off if requested by Vanir team or if they post an official thread. They have official builds rolling out now of Vanir and some of the other customized builds they make will be coming soon for Shamu.

This is my first build of Vanir, and the first thing I've had success getting working well on the Nexus 6. All credit goes to the Vanir team on this one.

Haha, thanks - i'm working on Beanstalk too, but what I have isn't release worthy. There are several issues - including needing to reboot to get WiFi to Cellular handoff to work, it doesn't build with a launcher - CM bug probably. Oh well, I'm learning!
It's getting good in here now much alohas

I will go through and update that list tonight with what's in there. Let's say things are sparse on 5.0 but I'm sure the Vanir team is pounding things out.
you may want to add what kernel will work as well.. If its based off of CM.

Currently on the N6, one kernel works for all ROMs including CM.

Sorry, but unless I'm doing something wrong,....this hangs at installation. Will not install.
Sent from my SM-T310 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It will install. It takes a while. This doesn't use the image based installation that most of the other ROMs are using. It's the good old folder copy. My installation took about 4 or 5 minutes. I will see if there is anything delaying it tonight.
Yes! The best of the best are back! Glad to see you guys are still making roms!
Prime Directive just said on gplus he is building Exodus now as well for Shamu starting tonight.
Is ok google from anywhere working on this rom?
this is so awesome. one of the best roms to ever be made and now on the n6. what a good day

If that's the case, I will ask a moderator to close this thread and delete or archive it. I defer to the Vanir team. That being said, I am pumping out another build as we speak. I will upload if it fixes the rotation issue.

I'm not sure - I actually don't use that feature much. Just from the launcher or Google Now, and it's usually to get the name of a song or something.

They have been releasing night lies for a few weeks but have only been participating and announcing on gplus. I don't think they mind unofficial though
Would you mind checking in voice options to see if you can enable that? if it's grayed out its not working
