[Q] Usb dongle connection via OTG cable sony neo v running on ics

I have a sony xperia neo v running on ics. is there a way one can connect internet through a 3g usb dongle from ZTE i also have a OTG cable.
can this work?
I have the same problem buddy :-/
Me too.. This was my post:
Rooted and flashes my HTC Wildfire Buzz (A3333) to CM. Now I'm a persistent aircrack-ng user on linux platform and I know it's possible to get custom made drivers from a blog somewhere on working for some Broadcast chipsets. My phone has a Qualcomm MSM7225 / ARM1136EJ-S chipset and thus not compatible.
I've been thinking to get an external USB adapter to get monitor anyway. Now before buying it, I wanted to hear you guys out to ask if my phone will recognize it as a genuine adapter without installing any further drivers.. Also would the phone have enough battery output to supply both the phone and adapter. Last, I wanted to ask some of you that already own one to give me some tips on the "better" external usb adapters, which ones do I pick?
Thanks in advance

[Q] [DX & TV] MHI (HDMI) Cable for HTC Desire X

Hello everyone,
I have a rooted HTC Desire X, my rom is mySENSEdx+ RC2.0. I was wondering if the an MHL cable of Samsung S3 would work for me to link my phone to an LCD TV. I would like to know that because I don't want to take any risk buying that expensive cable.
Endless thanks in advance.

probably not we have OTG support YES but our dual core CPU is not even capable of running a 720p video so I have my doubts about the MHL cable

First of all, thank you so much for your reply.
My brother has an LG Optimus 3D, it has a lower capacity than HTC DX's (Same CPU; RAM 250). He does link his phone to the LCD. Yet, I don't probably know more than you. I did not want to take any risk, the cable is a bit expensive for me; I cannot afford to buy it. ^^' ..but anyway, thank you so much. If I ever make sure I will inform you.
I have bought a MHL adapter from Deal Extreme but it doesnt work.
So I asked HTC if the dx supported mhl and they said it does but only if you
buy their mhl adapter.

I see.. =l
By the way, another question came to my mind: Is there a difference between an adabter and a simple cable? One that I can mention is that adapters carry the name of the company like Samsung, whereas cables don't.

The Desire X doesnt have HDMI out so this is the only solution.

[Q] External wifi adapter

Hello XDA-forum users,
I've been a fan of this forum and followed alot of guides etc.. Rooted and flashes my HTC Wildfire Buzz (A3333) to CM. [Q] USB OTG Memory Stick/Flash Drives Compatibility

Hi all,
I just wanted to ask if anyone knows if these USB OTG Memory Stick/Flash Drives that are being sold in shops & by online retailers are compatible with our Galaxy Note Pro's?
I've seen models by Sandisk, Patriot, Corsair & Transcend with varying capacities. Unfortunately due to this forums restrictions on noobs like me, I can't post links to them but I hope someone understands what I'm talking about
Hope someone can help...
Thanks
In theory, all of them should work. But only if you format them as fat32 or exFAT.
Thanks very much ShadowLea for the info
Next time I'm down the shops & I see one I'll buy it & give it a go, and I'll post another reply on this thread to let everyone know if it worked or not :fingers-crossed:
Perhaps you might take a look at one of these.
I've got one and it works flawlessly with my Note Pro 12.2.

I just ordered a PNY 128 GB thumb drive from Amazon for about $45 and it's working great so far with my OTG cable.

The USB 3.0 OTG cable I got was this one - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00II0H7T6/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1
I have a Sandisk usb stick with full USB on one end and Micro USB on the other end and it works fine.
