[Q] "APN protocol, APN Type, Bearer" not available in APN settings - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I don't see these in my APN settings.
I have a new S2 to replace my old one (dropped it), and the APN doesn't work.
AT&T sim. The APN settings I see here have those fields.. APN type I get internet, mms, internet+mms.. that's it.
How do I adjust these settings? Need to root first?

T-Mobile MMS APN Settings Not Working

'Sup, my fellow 5.3inchers.
Here's the deal:
On CM9, what I am using at the moment, I can use an MMS APN (where the APN has no select-indicator).
On a TouchWiz ROM, even though the ROM has an option for MMS only in the APN configurator, the APN never changes. Or, in other words, the APN doesn't become 'unselectable', like in CM9.
Am I inputting the APN settings wrong, or......?
Thanks for any help given!
did you click menu after changing the value..and clicking save?
Some roms don't allow you to manually add different apn types like hipri, and so forth

RingPlus APN fix - 4g LTE - SPH-L720 - Galaxy s4 Cyanogenmod 13 - Marshmallow 6.0.1

Wanted to see if this resolved the issue for anyone else.

Started with FreedomPop ROM. Switch to RingPlus. Activated service and updated PRL. 4g and mms were working at this point. Flashed to cyanogenmod 13 and I could make calls but not use 4g. If it set it to 3g in Settings -> Cellular Network Settings -> Preferred Network Type it would work without issues.
I flashed back to my FreedomPop ROP and updated PRL and Profile. Rebooted. Flashed back to CM13. Still no 4g.
Next I used oden 3.09 to flash stock 5.0.1 Lollipop ROM L720PUGOK3. Took forever to download and had to flash 3 times before it completed. Once setup, I updated PRL and Profile again. Rooted and installed TWRP. Flashed back to CM13. Still no 4g.
Tried to select APN from APN list in settings expect there is no APN list settings anywhere.
Tried to manually edit APN list but was not able to find a great details on how to modify the APN file. Its an XML file and it seemed too risky to manually edit with the lack of a good guide.
Next I used Change APN app. No APN's were listed so I manually entered in RingPlus APN. No APN was added to the list but I rebooted the phone. Still no 4g.
Next I installed Offline SIM APN Database. Selected, Search APN settings for this SIM. It informed me I had two APN's on my device. Both named Sprint World with the same exact settings. I selected one. Then I selected the third button from the top named Go TO Android APN Settings. Again, the APN list was blank. I selected the three dots or options button and selected Reset To Default. It asked permission to reset to the default APN. Immediately the 4g symbol showed up. Data was now working on 4g. I rebooted and 4g was still working.
I don't know if all or just some of the steps caused it to work. I'm not to eager to replicate the situation. If anyone is having the 4g issue and they have tried everything, please try these steps and let me know if it worked. Honestly, I think just doing the last step of resetting the APN to default just might fix it. IDK.
I would have just flashed to stock but CM13 is cool and small.

LS990 APN settings

So I've been searching around and haven't been able to find an answer yet, that actually works. I'm using my G3 on Sprint for a bit while my G6 gets fixed, and it's on rooted ZVC. I apparently live in a Sprint dead zone, so WiFi calling is a must, but MMS doesn't work over WiFi with the default APN setting for MMSC. If I use an app like Textra, I can force the correct URL, but I have been unable to change/add the correct APN to the system in order to use Android Messaging, for example. I can get to the APN settings screen, but no options to add or edit. ##DATA# lets me change the setting for the stock messaging app only. Any suggestions?

Cannot modify or add APNs

Hi all,
This is a strange problem I don't find anywhere. In summary, I cannot create or modify APNS. This is the relevant information:
- I have a Pocophone Global version with MIUI 10.1.3.0.
- I'm using a Lebara UK SIM card with an active data plan.
- Data are available when in the UK but not when roaming in Europe (Spain in particular)
- Data are available with a different phone and the same SIM card and plan.
- It only does not work with the pocophone.
- All solutions I see are to add a new APN with the right configuration.
- In my pocophone there are two APN set by default, and none of they work when roaming (Vodafone UK and Vodafone UK Prepay). The configuration seems fine, although the APN type is set to "default, supl, mms"
- I CANNOT modify the existing APNs.
- I CANNOT create a new APN.
- In the APNs menu the only option is to "Reset to default" but there is no "New APN". I can see the "New APN" button when using a different SIM card, from a different company.
- With other SIM cards in my pocophone I can actually create or modify APNs. In that case I can create or modify APNs, but not with the Lebara UK SIM card.
The only solution Lebara is suggesting is to create a new APN with the correct settings, but I cannot do that in my pocophone. I would really appreciate if someone has some clue on how to deal with it, or if there is an alternative way to create APNs.
Thank you very much to everyone in advance.
Cheers.
U mean data roaming?
go setting ==> Sim cards & mobile networks ==> Data roaming ==> Never to Always.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I meant data roaming. The setting you mention is already set to "Always". In fact, I did that before leaving the UK, as someone recommended some time ago.
I have tried to link snapshots of the current APN configuration in this post but I can't because I'm new to this forum. These are some of the relevant APN parameters in Edit access point (that cannot be modified):
Name: Vodafone UK Prepay
APN: pp.vodafone.co.uk
Proxy, Port: Not set
username, password: wap
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
MVNO type: None
I cannot change it, and also I cannot add a new one (the button Add new APN does not exist when this card is inserted, so something seems to be blocked in the phone?). Also, the Preferred network type is set to "Prefer LTE", although I also tried "Prefer 3G" and "2G only (saves battery).
Thank you again.

Slow internet fix for me

I recently bought an lg wing Korean version, and it had trouble with really slow internet and being stuck on lte band 20. It turned out my APN settings were bad. I looked upy carrier APN settings and mine didn't match up. So I typed in the correct ones and now I can connect to lte band 3 and 1 also.
Did you go into the hidden menu?
What did you modify?
Settings/network and internet/mobile networks/access point names.
Where are you located and what carrier?
What did you change it to?
Finland, apn settings are carrier specific. Look up your carrier APN settings and check if they are the same as the one in your phone settings.
