Really liking it. Few questions. How do I add more screens... Can I make icons smaller to fit more apps on one page. Also how do I get battery percentage indicator on lock screen when charging.

1. Hold finger down on empty part of home screen
2. Install another launcher/root
3. Not possible on htc sense afaik.

Yeah brutal....what are you doing about it? How do I add and remove icons in bottom. I figured out how to add them from app tray but not sure how to remove them....

Me? I just took out widgets I thought I didn't really use and re organized what widgets were on what pages. And same way to remove the app from the dock, in the app drawer (another very stupid change made by sense.)

I love the Nova launcher. It lets me shrink the icons to my liking and allows me to have a scrollable dock, both features I missed from my jailbroken iPhone 5.

I think the only way is with the alternate launchers. The widgets are not optimized for this big screen. It kind of sucks you can't even center them.
This mod will make the rosie launcher 4 columns by 5 rows making better use of the screen real estate. HTC didnt make this default for whatever reason and there was just way too much empty space... But this mod makes it much much better.
As always nandroid backup! But you already knew that right...

Actually yes, but the problem with that is 3rd party widgets won't render correctly. They will always show up to the left or right, not centered. The sense widgets render fine though.

it worked
It worked for me on meanROM! It added a large amount of shortcut space... now I can have more shortcuts next to my Sense clock widget on my home screen!
I suggest that one performs a backup of their /system first. Just in case something goes wrong or one wants to switch back.
Perhaps you could provide a zip that undoes these changes for those that may want to revert?
Thanks for this mod! I hope it gets integrated in the other 2.17 based ROMs.

somebody had ported one over from the HOX, but the scale was off, if you hit one button another one would show up on the screen, they looked bigger visually but they only looked the part, they didnt work right and when you rebooted it didnt stick..
Hey guys, I'm trying to edit some smali for a Rosie.apk and HTC_lockscreen.apk
I'm trying to DISBALE landscape on both.
I already have it decompiled and can see the smali folder. I just don't know what to do now to disable landscape mode. I already have notepad ++
And yes I know I could just get a normal stock apk, but I would just like to know how to edit smali

It is in Rosie. I found a thread a while back that said where to look and what to change. It was for this phone so just look through all the old posts and it should point you in the right direction. It wasn't for lock screen tho but it may help you
No no guides helped me... It seems those lines are missing. Not sure how its possible though, i guess im just missing it somewhere. I'll upload it to see if you guys can find it...

What ROM are we looking at again? I know that you're trying to learn smali, but pretty much every rom I've used has an option to disable rotation... Haven't used them all, of course, but still, am curious.

Sense looks really nice with the semi-transparent notification bar, but it doesn't recognize other launchers the same way and keeps the fully black bar as in most normal apps. Is there a way to enable this on custom launchers? Possibly by editing the SystemUI.apk, or tricking the phone into thinking the launcher is Sense? Someone asked about it in this thread (and made a nice graphic for it), but nothing came of it. Hopefully some progress can be made here. Thanks! :fingers-crossed:

Although I am not an expert, but I think it has got more to do with the launcher and has nothing to do with the phone.. i.e. the phone really does not care if it is Sense or not... the transparancy is a feature of the launcher.
so, may be you could request the developer of the launcher to introduce this feature
