Root is root no matter how you accomplished it, there are different ways of doing the same thing.
Hello all! I'm brand new to XDA and have been here all day trying to learn to root my Motorola Atrix running 2.3.6. Unfortunately, there's not much help for those of us trying to root from a mac. I'm a total n00b at rooting entirely, so I really need a basic, detailed guide on what I need to do. I managed to find the one thread on here about rooting for mac, but even those steps weren't clear enough apparently because I couldn't get it to work. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
I rooted my Samsung galaxy express and found a ROM for it. The root method I used cydia impactor and I did the same for my tablet but I can't find a ROM for my tablet. Its an acer b1-710. Can I get some direction on where to look or how to properly ask someone for help regarding this or requesting? Thanks.
