Paranoid Android w/ HALO - Motorola Droid RAZR

I know that Paranoid Android Rom was released a while back for the Razr Maxx, but this rom had wifi and data issues.
Is there anyone currently working on Paranoid Android for our devices?
I have developed a few apps internally at work and for my college so I have experience if there would be any assistance requested.
If no one is working on it, how would I get started with porting the rom?

PA for razr would be great
if you want to build it - here is how to do it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863547
btw ive contactet PA team bout razr and thats their response
find a developer that ports it. he needs no permission, just go ahead. we only build for nexus and leave porting in the hands of whoever wants to give it a go.

So good luck, man :good: I would definitely try that rom

I had been working on PA a while back (4.1.2), and am waiting for the updated repos with halo. I never really posted here as I spent most of my time on DroidRzr. I'm actually running a PAC 22.1.1 port right now, but should be able to post something when all the halo stuff gets released.

droid razr
If anything gets done for the razr i would love to know about it. Ive been searching for the PA halo version for my phone.

[APP] Onskreen Cornerstone

Can someone building this app from github? It looks pretty cool, but I don't know how to build nor do I think I have the equipment to.
Thanks!

I think I can f*p to this
Developers, please help! , this could help take multitasking on android tablets to a whole new level!
Would like to see this myself!
Thats really really cool, hope the developers here will do a build with ICS with that fantastic experiment!
CyanogenMod team is working in building it into CM9.
Think it's only compatible with ics and gingerbread when ics is more common on devices I think more cooks will add it. I can't believe their is not more interest from dev on this. Cm9 and Thor, are building this into their rom.
Not an APP. This has to be built into the ROM itself. I have been searching for the "user built ROMS" on Onskreen's website but with no luck. CMteam is adding it to CM9 but a flashable zip to drop the right files into the right places would be increadible. This would give most people the option to use what ROM they want and then flash the "Cornerstone into said ROM. I am excited about this.
Including this into the ROMs might make Google decide to pull ROMs out of access to the Android Market I've read.
Not sure if and how this would all pan out.
edit: if CM would include this as an optional package that would remove the risk of excluding ROMs to the market, nice find mtjnkee
work in progress? or already an app ready?
I thunk it'll still a work in progress.

Roman from the aokp rom has a special edition of his rom with cornerstone built in. It is buggy (onskreen needs to fix it up a bit), but if you want to test it out here it is. For the wifi 10.1

It's in an overnight build of AOKP--a one-time thing, I believe. It has a long way to go to be generally useable.

Yes but when I made the original post he hadn't included it yet.
Any roms for the a500 with this built in yet. Available now?
I think that once more devices start to implement ICS then we will see a much faster development time for these sort of OS enhancements

So IMHO they're more on building an own solution to this, taking Cornerstone as an origin.
If anyone has a Touchpad laying around there is an CM9 Kang ROM with Cornerstone baked in over in the Touchpad development section.

[Q] CyanogenMOD for Droid Razr/Maxx?

I haven't found a thread asking this question: does anyone know if the Cyanogenmod team will ever work on making an official Cyanogenmod ROM for the Razr? I would really look forward to something like that happening! Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm still kinda new around this area!

There is no new about a official cm9 for the razr. Dunno if it will ever gen one. You can go on drodhive, there you can find the cm9, aokp and other rom working on cdma (the gsm user are less fortunate and only have miui and some deoxed roms)

Using RomControl from AOKP in cm9?

Hello all,
I've been trying for the longest to port AOKP to Galaxy tab 7 plus, and so far I have gotten nowhere. The devs in our forums aren't interested in porting AOKP to our device. But there is a fully functional cm9 build working. I'm mainly trying to port AOKP for its customization options "RomControl" so is there a way to at least bring the romcontrol menu to a working cm9 rom?

Doubtful, as the RC package relies upon a whole mess of framework and other changes to make it tick. I think you'd be better of picking off the pieces of CM9 that work and bringing those into the AOKP tree rather than going the other way. Figure out what the CM9 build has that your AOKP build doesn't (I imagine largely the device-specific tree) and see if you can bring those items into your build.
Its a driver issue. something is ring with the audio driver. I've tried compiling tens of roms and nothing gets passed the boot screen. I've made lots of logcats and they all came back with the same fatal error with the audio driver I'm guessing?
The problem is I'm not a dev at all.. I'm just following guides I see here on xda or any other forums. But I can't get any kinda real help I've been at this for more than a month and nothing so far. and like I said the devs in our section aren't interested in porting aokp they think cm is better. And there are only two devs we are seriously lacking devs too. That's another problem...

[Q] The best of the best? As of today that is...

Hi there!
So I've been searching for the newest and rom that works 100% (as of today) for my Motorola Droid Razr. I know CM has come out with some good roms, but I can't keep track of all the different roms that are out there. More specifically, I want a rom that works 100%, no bugs, no nothing (for the most part that is)... To my understanding the ICS and JB roms have some problems... maybe I'm wrong though? I've read I may have to downgrade to Gingerbread in order to get a rom that works 100%, BUT again, I want to ensure I'm not missing something. Can someone direct me?
Yes, I've searched this forum, other forums, blogs, news sites, etc... BUT I want to ensure I get the newest and best working rom (not the NEWEST JB rom - unless that works 100% - but the newest rom that is best working).
Thanks so much!

I love Eclipse ICS; it is my daily driver for the foreseeable future. Absolutely amazing and stable, with all features working:
Link to the original page for CDMA devices (there is a port available for GSM too. Let me know if you need a link for it.): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1795493
The Cyanogenmod 9 and 10 ports are now in beta:

Awesome! Thanks so much. I'll check it out. Is Eclipse what most people are using?
Yeah, I wanted to get Cyanogenmod, but I've heard that the new updates are kinda buggy (no camera, etc...)
Yeah, Eclipse is probably the most popular ROM for RAZR. The Gingerbread build DEFINITELY was.
Also, apparently the camera and everything works on CM9 as long as you download the right version. I haven't had any experience with it though so I couldn't help if you chose it.

Cool. Thanks for the info!
I think I'll go with CM9... I've been looking at the AOKP as well... sounds pretty nice - have you ever tried it? I'll try them out and see what I like the best.
Thanks so much,

Oh, and I've tried to find CM9 and AOKP for the Droid Razr, but to no avail... Well sorta.
I was going to post a link, but XDA Developers won't allow me to because I don't have 10 posts yet...
I found one that says CM9/AOKP (leak rom), BUT I don't understand what they mean when they say I "leak rom"... I think it means that ICS hadn't been released yet when they released this rom? I don't know... And although the site is rootzwiki.com, I am hesitant in loading it onto my Razr because it doesn't actually say it's for the Razr, AND I can't find CM9 for the Razr anywhere else. I feel like these are for the .181 while I'm running .211...
I can't find anything for AOKP that doesn't seem like it's too old to try. It just seems as if everything is outdated... I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong places? I don't want to mess up my phone by installing a ROM that is too old.

CM10
I'm on CM10 now as stated in the earlier post. It's super smooth but I don't think it's ready for daily use.
Will look into eclipse though.
Boohoo, Eclipse is only for CDMA. Mine's a GSM.
Just remember, you are currently on ICS. You can't leave ICS.
It is a one-way street and there is no way to flash gingerbread without having some major problems.
I use Eclipse and I would highly recommend it.
Have a look here http://www.droidrzr.com/
there are a few more roms here that i havent seen elsewhere
try epsilon v3...you wont be changing that for a long while

I decided I'd take a look at this one. I was impressed by the stability claims but I don't know if I want to flash this because it still looks like stock Blur.
Currently running CM9 now; there are some bugs for sure but all main features work.

Hello everyone. My name is JakeDHS07 (real name Shaun) I will respond to both and for those of you uninitiated I have been a debugger, tester, and troubleshooter since the ICS days way back when. I'm pretty well versed in Android and especially CM Roms. So does anybody have any questions or issues they would like to ask. Please keep in mind while I will do my best I can't guarantee anything. Just doing what I can to help out.

Hi, I have this questions and I don't know where to post it so this will be my first stop.
Background: I have an XT910 (umts_spyder) with CyanogenMod 11 M4 installed as the only ROM and the JBX Kernel 3.0 Hybrid Spyder.
The problem is that I couldn't pair my PS3 controller to it via bluetooth (After some experiments with other controllers and another tablet, I'm sure the problem is the phone) so I tried to connect it via OTG but the Sixaxis App didn't recognize it either. Then I tried to connect a wireless mouse and a USB Flash drive but the phone also didn't recognized'em.
So the questions are: Do you know if the ROM/Kernel might have problems to connect via bluetooth??
Do you know if the "stock" kernel is capable of OTG?
Do you think that the kernel that I'm actually using is capable of it?
Or it's just that I need extra power supply to every device I connect to it?
Any help you can provide will be very appreciated man.
P.D.: I attached the results of the USB Host Diagnostics App from "Chainfire"
From what I understand and have heard from other people its a incompatible issue with the sixaxis app and kit Kat android.

Its not about what your running. It's any build after 4.3 that won't work. Developer needs to update the app.
DROID RAZR MAXX CM 11 JBX KERNEL
Oh, I see.. Thank you man. Any thoughts about the OTG thing?? (I think you were expecting deeper kinda questions but that's all I got, sorry).
I'm not entirely sure as I have never used OTG however I same across this:
http://m.cnet.com/news/how-to-tell-...r-tablet-supports-usb-on-the-go/57618386?ds=1
From what I understand if you install that it will tell you whether the current setup will work. You can install on stock and cm and run and report your results. I hope this helps.
All questions are welcome!!!
DROID RAZR MAXX CM 11 JBX KERNEL
That app gives less details than Chainfire's but the same results.. BUT I'm sure that the XT910 supports OTG because of threads here on XDA and YouTube videos demonstrating it. in that threads it is mentioned that the current kernel only supports hubs with external power supply (over a year ago).
But, for example a guy at the "JBX Kernel 3.0 Hybrid Spyder" thread was "hoping" for OTG (I believe it was right after the 1080P feature came back but I'm not sure, I've read so many threads and posts..) and that comment made me point my finger at the kernel. But then again CM logs don't mention it either so yeah..
Also the Sixaxis claims Android 4.4 KitKat support.. (just checked).
Of course I'll report if I ever find a way/config to do it, but I think that I'm the only one with this kind of issue.. Thanks anyways!!
