[Q] Return to Stock ROM?

Hiya
How do I flash the stock TouchWiz ROM back on my S3? I'm currently on CM10.1; but it's too unstable to use for anyone other then me (passing the phone to my brother). I just want to flash the stock TW 4.1.2 ROM but not unroot it.
Is there a guide out there I can read so I don't end up bricking it? And where can I find the (zip?) files?
Thanks alot
it's been asked and answered a hundred times, use search and read the stickies

[SOLVED] I bricked my phone..urgent help needed please..

I updated my sgs2 officially yesterday from ICS to jellybean 4.1.2...it was working good but I lost root...I searched the web to root it again and foung this website..
http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s2-gt-i9100-jelly-bean-android-4-1-14-1-2/
I successfully rooted it but to my bad luck I tapped on the supersu as mentioned in the video demonstration at the website and things went wrong..the supersu asked me whether to start normally or CWM recovery, I opted for CWM recovery...Now my phone is stuck at the yellow triangle..I can go to download mode only...I reflashed the same kernel but in vain...
Please help me to recover my phone as I need it badly...many thanks in advance.
Let me tell you that I leave in middle east and as I remeber it was updated to XXls8 or something.

Do you recommend to flash this rom instead of stock rom? But where from download? And how to flash?
Go back to stock first; it will give you a 'clean slate'. Getting your phone working normally/usable should be your only priority/thought at this stage. You can worry about flashing other roms/kernels once you've done that.

Thanks MistahBungle for your help. From where I should download stock rom and how to flash? Further help will be much appreciated.
Search Samfirmware for an unbranded one for your country (or a carrier-specific one if you prefer/if there isn't an unbranded one). Guides/tutorials are stickied in the General section (3rd post from the top from memory).

Thanks a lot MistahBungle and all who supported me...Thanks God I finally reflashed stock ROM which I downloaded from Samfirmware and it is working well.
May I request all those geeks to guide me to root the easiest way. Further I will request you people to tell me the Best ROM which support RTL...Bundle of thanks.
Good man. You're welcome Easy way to root is to flash the Odin version of any custom kernel which works with Android version of the stock rom you're currently running (Siyah & Dorimanx are but two, there are others); read the thread devoted to the particular kernel you want to flash to work out which build you need to use. Once you flash it you'll have a rooted phone with CWM.
'Best rom' threads are not allowed here; once you have CWM installed it's really easy to flash/try a bunch of roms & find one you like, it takes 5 minutes to backup or restore, if you find you don't like a rom you try, it's easy to go back to your previous setup & try another. Generally if you need things that are a 'bit fiddly' to 'just work' without dramas, you're better off sticking with stock. But you can check the threads of various custom roms to see if they support the features you need to use. You could always dual boot if the particular features you want to use only work with stock, yet you like a particular custom rom & want to use it as a daily driver.

Just a notice: don't use the OXA (Open Europe) firmware, there's really no support for it on Samsungs side, and no OTA to 4.3 till now.

You didn't say which stock rom you wanted but this is my own backup of the latest generic 4.3 rom for UK and Europe I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OXAGMK6_BTU extract the MD5 file and flash via Odin if you want it.
Don't forget after flashing to boot into recover and wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory reset to clean the custom rom stuff from your phone

So you obviously missed the thread stickied near the top of Q&A titled 'Flash stock firmware' then ?
The only difference is you obviously need to get I9100G firmware from Samfirmware, not I9100.
This is basics, you should already know this stuff before you start flashing custom roms, and you're certainly not going to be spoonfed it.

last question :
I need to install 4.1.2 france.
the steps like this, flashing stock kernal through recovery ,unroot phone then flashing through odin stock firmware.
right or there other things.
thanks man I appreciate your response
Sent from my GT-I9100G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You REALLY should know this....
1) no need to flash a separate kernel.
2) no need to unroot.
Flash the correct firmware via Odin and your phone will be in an "as new, out of the box" condition.....
That's ALL you need to do.

then you dont need a CM ROM, you need stock ICS, and I dont think you can get it here, you should google about that. You also coulg go to a technical service, its a bad problem but it has a solution, It happened to me but with an S1
be careful
if you flashed any new rom and your efs become v2 don't flash any old efs v1 modem you will lost your imei
backup first
this what happened to me before but i have advanced box in Samsung so i don't care
