Facebook Notifications in Drop-down Notification Shade - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

After a Facebook update a while back, I wound up with Facebook notifications (friend requests, messages, notifications) in my android drop-down shade. I deactivated it by going into Facebook settings. Now I want it back and can't find the option in Facebook settings to reactivate the option. Any ideas?

Open up facebook, click menu, go to settings, and under notifications you have check boxes for all those.

Thanks, but this was a row of permanent icons that stayed in the notification shade. I can't find an option for it now.

[Q] Automatically clear notifications

I've been google'ing and puzzling for hours to get something like this to work.
Basically the whole idea is:
I'm using MissedIt! and i only want to see these notifications.
I can disable SMS notifications by it's settings, but it automatically disables sound notifications too, which i don't want.
I cannot disable missed call notification by any setting.
I can use Tasker to clear the sms and missed call notifications automatically by simply opening the phone log / sms app and retuning back to the home screen, but then the MissedIt! notifications are ofcourse also gone ;-).
So, basically; i no longer want to see notification texts/icons in the status bar, but i still wanna hear the notification sounds.
When i clear the message from the notification bar, MissedIt! still shows a missed 'event', which i want.
How on earth, are these notifications to be stopped / cleared, automatically!??
Any Tasker idea's for this one?

This is possible if you flash a 4.1 rom. Go to settings -> apps -> click on the app -> uncheck enable notifications.

[Q] Notification Sound

My sounds are set up but,
1 There is no sound when I receive incoming texts and/or email.
2 When I do receive incoming gmail they do not show in the notification drop down.
3 The only way to see the emails is to open the app and then refresh the page.... and then they load.
Any help would be great.
You have to go into the app you want to change the notification for..
Ex. Open up your Google mail. Open up the gmail setting by pressing the 3 dots on the bottom right..press settings..then press the Google account you want to edit. There you will see the notification setting along with the Show notifications when email arrives.
For text messaging the same rule applies. Open up Messaging go to Menu..then Settings.

Everything was set as is necessary.
Still no sound on delivery and no incoming mail seen until the refresh button is hit.
I'm missing one or two small steps somewhere.

Status bar notifications

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but on the base (the newest version something .3) I get notifications in my status bar, but they don't show up when I pull it down ( like gmail, calls, texts, etc) so I can't click them to go into the app. Anybody have any ideas?

[Q] How do I stop phone vibrating on new email?

Hi, I've updated my phone with Omega v45 (4.2.2) and ever since I can't get it to stop vibrating when I receive an email. I'm using the stock email app with 2 accounts (one Hotmail, one exchange).
In the email app I've been to Menu -> Settings -> General Preferences and de-selected "Vibrate" and also done this for each of the accounts but it still vibrates when a new email comes in.
I've also looked in the system settings -> My device -> Sound, I've disabled haptic feedback but can't see anything that would disable vibrations for just email (I still want it to vibrate on a new sms etc).
Any tips would be great!
Thanks,
Paul
don't know if this works in stock ROMs but you could enter in Settings and to Apps, then to the All section and look for the generic android email app and below the name just uncheck the Show Notifications. It SHOULD stop any sounds, alarms and push notifications but IDK if it works with vibrations
Hope it helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I've gone to the All Applications and selected the Email app. Unfortunately even if I Force Stop, the "Show Notifications" is ticked but greyed out and can't be changed. Even if I could change it I'd prefer to receive email notifications in the notifications bar still so this wouldn't work for me. I'm just looking to disable the vibrate for emails.
Cheers,
Paul
