[Q] Supernexus 2.0 milestone 1 on I9300 internation - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've flashed this great mod by TRWP (wipe/factory reset before) on stock 4.2.1 EMC2 ROM
all work fine, great ! and many thanks to the developer
now the issue is that i'd like to reset my counter and I try to use Triangle Away last release
The program see correctly the staus and seems to be able to reset the counter but even if it told me that the reset was done correctly, it does not.
Any suggest ?

Suggest you read the faqs and guides .
It requires stock rom to reset is the basic answer .
TWRP what mod ???

TRWP is the cutom recovery used to flash SUPERNEXUS 2.0 ROM
so you are telling me that triangle away works only on rooted stock rom ?

As opposed to >>>>>>>>>>>I've flashed this great mod by TRWP
Leaves the impression that it was some mod by TWRP rather than a custom rom .
so you are telling me that triangle away works only on rooted stock rom

yes I've seen these two discussion but it seems not so clear and simple as you told
I've understood that it depends on kernel type if triangle away works or not, not if the ROM is original or not.
My question is simply related to SUPERNEXUS users and I cannot post in specific thread cause my few posts (less than 10)
anyway, many thank for your help

how to reset custom rom counter?
With a jig. Do a search on eBay for "Samsung Galaxy S2 jig". Costs ~$3.

And also refer to JJEgan's answer "A".
If the jig doesnt work its because you need to flash the old bootloader.Newer firmwares have the non-wipe bootloader (2.3.5 and above I think) so flash this in PDA without selecting anything else.Just hit start. But only if you need it.

Unable to understand .
Do you want to know all Android release versions ??
You would be better off reading the basics before flashing anything .
29 attempts do you actually mean the custom rom counter ???
If so again its basics read return phone to stock triangle away and all the other basic information .
jje
no, there is no way to know what versions have been installed on your phone before

[Q] Flashing a stock ROM on rooted Galaxy S3 i9300 with CWM??

I have browsed through many forums to find out this but did not find an answer:
I have a rooted Galaxy S3 i9300 with CWM Recovery and MIUI V5 installed. Can I flash stock ROM using ODIN directly without resetting the flash counter using Triangle Away?
Yes if your counter is already 0. No, if its not.
Why?

as said earlier two options:
(1) yes you can flash without resetting the counter, if you do not care about the counter, hence be aware of the fact that, in case you want to give it back to a service center they might reject it
(2) no you have to reset first if you care about the counter (e.g. if you want to give it back to a service center)

that will be always a reflection of personal perception, hence there is no good or bad. (in addition it is not allowed by the rules to ask those kind of stuff due to that reason).
have a look in the dev sections and try them, I ended up being with null_ ROM before I went back to a AOSP/AOKP base.

[Q] Different Stock Recovery Mode

Hi,
Not so long ago I rooted my international i9300, installed CWM and started trying custom ROMs. After a while I wanted to go back to stock rom cuz I am planning on selling phone. I downloaded from Sammobile 4.3 custom rom for UK (my phone was from Hungary) and installed it via Odin.
Everything went well and everything is working properly, the only difference from before is that now when I enter recovery mode it shows BugDroid and under him it says Error, after that it goes into recovery mode which is similar to the stock one, it has all the same functions as the stock one but it certainly doesn't look like it; letters are not same size and color as they were before, and BugDroid in background is still lying on his back with red exclamation sign on it but now it says "no command" under it.
Everything is working properly on the phone but I am kind perfectionist and I like to do things right. Is there way to make it like it was before?
btw. I formatted everything I could before installing custom rom - all sdcards and everything so probably I deleted some files I shouldn't have
