Thanks for the mod/apk! Its awesome. Im trying to insert this into my ROM as a single and default keyboard but it always says Keyboard has stopped working. Is there anyway i can embed this into rom before installing the ROM? FYI it works fine when i install this normal way.

Where did you put it? Try in data/app, instead of system/app.

Great keyboard, but I'm addicted with SwiftKey...
Many thanks for this alternative, anyway!

It worked
But the .apk could be installed only after I used Titanium Backup to Force Uninstall the built in Keyboard.

I was having same problem and couldn't find any answers, but then I saw my mistake, "Google Keyboard.apk" , instead of "Googlekeyboard.apk"
Never put any app in the system/app folder with a space in its name. and don't forget the lib files.
Cheers.
Can't believe after 2 years and there was no reply to this answer.

If you want that clock in apk version, check my signature. It's not always convenient to flash apps in recovery.
Yeah, but that clock don't have all Languages in!
And using recovery is better, becouse:
install zip, reboot
and with copying: (your method)
searching for folders, copy/paste, setting permissions THEN reboot..

Hi.
Sorry but I'm a complete noob concerning "Framework" Of course I used the search function but instead of helping me the results were just irritating. Maybe someone could give me a link to the needed framework?
Even reading the Faq of my ROM (Uhd 3.0.2) didn't help.
It's only because I would really like to be able to use that Small App. Looks so f...ing cool

Sent from my Xperia Neo V using xda app-developers app
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/106930-a...ece-of-kitkat-with-these-apps-and-wallpapers/ yeah launcher bit crowded and all apps works except keyboard on vishal carbon ROM this ROM almost looks like 4.4 kitkat ROM.. I'm pretty sure 4.4 gives us smooth experience

Confirmed working by me on Neo V. The launcher looks good, only problem is that I don't think there is an option to adjust the 5*5 grid size in the drawer because of which it looks a bit crowded. Adding some screenshots...

Hey, he is asking only about the launcher and not all the other apps as mentioned by you
Btw, you are saying the launcher grid size automatically adjusted itself as 5x4 after a reboot? I have set it as default launcher and rebooted still the grid size for me is 5x5... any other steps which i have missed?? I am using the Beanstalk ROM RC2

Hey, its not my launcher but the Kitkat 4.4 launcher i was talking about...you and one more member reported that grid size auto adjusts automatically to 5x4 which is not happening in my case...so wanted to know if there is something more that i need to do...
Regarding Kitkat 4.4, I am happy that it has been built to support low end devices :fingers-crossed: and because of which we will be able to use our Xperia 2011 devices for some more time :good:
The launcher looks good, but i prefer something which is configurable like Apex/Nova launcher to this one. The camera, keyboard, calendar, gmail apps are nothing much different that what i use in the current 4.3 based ROM. One app which i really liked was Quickoffice, very handy to create and edit documents on the go.
Even I'm getting 5x5 grid in the app drawer! Tried rebooting and everything, doesn't help! Can anybody tell how to make it 5x4 grid!?? I'm using CM10.2!
