Can you get into Fastboot? (Remove & Reinsert battery > Press Volume Down Key + Power button > Bootloader)
If so then try flashing a custom recovery such as TWRP (Attached here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39658620&postcount=1).
As far as I know, Your device is not hard bricked.
Once you install the custom recovery, Try wiping your device and reboot.

i cant find custom ROM

Sorry for the mistype, I meant Custom Recovery not custom rom. Yes try that recovery. Use the steps below (Credits to nlooooo)
- download recovery attached, rename it to recovery.img and put it on the root of c: drive on your PC
- reboot phone to fastboot
- connect it to a PC
- open command prompt and guide it to the folder where you have adb platform tools installed
- issue commands
fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img
then
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then
fastboot erase cache
Now your phone should be ready to apply official update.

Glad to hear that you got it working!
Now that you have a working device, Try to go back to the Stock provided here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210619 I assume your CID is 038. So download it.
Also I assume your HBOOT is 1.24 so
1. Unlock your bootloader.
2. Install a custom recovery
3. Install the stock ROM from that link above.
4. Flash a Stock Recovery. (Use the STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip attached in the above thread).
This toolkit will help you for the above steps : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943822
5. Go to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now > Complete the update.

ROOT HTC Desire V Official ROM ICS 4.0.3

I have read the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746561 where @SeBsZ showed the method to root this phone having baseband 1.04 and 1.06 so here i will show how to root desire v having baseband 1.05
Its my first thread HOW TO ROOT so m not resposible if u brick your phone however here's the link to stock roms if in case ur phone gets bricked.!!
First of all you have to unlock bootloader and install cwm recovery on your phone, here's the tutorial:
Step 1 – Bootloader Unlock
Go to htcdev.com then create an account there and click on Unlock Bootloader. Choose “All Other Supported Models” and click on begin bootloader unlock at the place. You will not void your all warranty but only HTC will not cover the problems which are caused due to software problems so accept the agreement.
To enter bootloader mode, make sure the phone is switched off. Remove the battery if it is not getting switched off. Then hold Volume Down and start pressing the Power button without any USB cable. Use the volume up and volume down buttons to select “Fastboot” and select it using the Power button. Now connect your USB cable and continue following the HTC instructions.
You need the zip file which you must have downloaded from the above link. You also need HTC USB Drivers installed to connect it with you device. Using the command prompt you can simply navigate to the extracted files and run the fastboot command. (Use the command “cd C:/myextractedzip” to change to a directory).
Save the Unlock_Code.bin attachment which you get from HTC by Email into the same extracted zip folder and run the next command. You now have an unlocked bootloader and the phone will start up and an HTC wizard.
Congratulations ! Your bootloader is now unlocked.
Step 2 – Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery
Remove the USB Cable if connected and boot again into bootloader mode. Click fastboot and reconnect it to your PC. Now run the following command on your PC via fastboot :- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Switch off your phone now again and make sure that the USB Cable is also removed from your computer.
Congratulations! Your recovery is now installed.
U can get the recovery img here
Now ,Download Desire_V_Official.zip ROM File Copy to SDcard Folder must not be located in any of the coding.
1. HTC Desire V shut completely
2. press and hold the button Down and press the Volum Power and wait.
3. Select Recovery and press Power
4. Select wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
5. go to the advanced menu.
wipe dalvik cache
wipe battery stats
6. Select install zip from sdcard menu
7. choose zip from sdcard
8. Select the file Desire_V_Official.zip to the Flash ROM.
Wait When the Flash has finished, select reboot system now.
Finishing the Flash ROM.
Warning: updating kernel, ROM, recovery, risk potential damage. and I cannot be held responsible for any damage to your machine. Please read and study ways to ensure before you begin.
I dnt know if it works for all but i have tried and succeded on my desire v.
If it works for you plz press the thanks button
Thankx Dude

[Q] [Sola] installing custom rom

Hello, I've been trying to install custom rom on my xperia sola but I don't sure how and I don't wanna brick my phone, some people told me to try ROM Manager or X-Parts but in both app's it says that xperia sola is not supported.
Some told me to use flashtool and flash the boot.img but when I downloaded the pure blood rom(that's what I wanna use) there is only META-INF and system folders and no boot.img file, I've searched for some tutorials with good explanations for xperia sola but I haven't found any.
Can someone please give me a good tutorial or explain to me in detail how to install a custom rom? I have rooted and unlocked my bootloader, yet im not quite sure how to enter my recovery....
Thanks for the help!

I've already installed CWM but how do I reboot into it?
And is there any way to make sure my CWM is installed correctly like root cheker or something?
I didn't saw you added a link to CWM, I'll check it and see if I manage to do it, thanks.
To reboot into CWM, turn off the phone. Then press the power button till phone starts booting > Then keep pressing (repeatedly) the Volume Down button till CWM loads

Did you unlock your bootloader? If your bootloader is locked the only thing is flash only ROM for locked bootloader.
For example - you install munjenis CWM, you download ROM for locked bootloader (no CyanogenMod), place ROM on your phone memory, switch off the phone, switch on the phone, on logo pressing many times vol +, enter CWM and choose Install zip.
Thats it.

I tryed to install both Pure blood and Ultimate sola roms, same problem with both.
I can't post links yet, write in youtube "How to Load a Custom ROM on an Android Device " and go to the third video(for me anyway) by MobileUnlimited, that's what I used, I backed up all the data, wiped out data/factory reset, then install zip from sdcard(which btw goes to my internal storage and not my sdcard), then reboot system now.
And I used the CWM you gave me in post #12.
Thanks.
Edit - well, I didn't notice that, but the CWM you gave me is by "munjeni", and in the pure blood post it says: "2. FLASH CWM V5 for unlocked bootloaders... dont use any other...munjeni's "memory tweak + owerclock 1.15 ghz WILL GIVE BOOTLOOP.. and for locked bootloaders used the CWM is available for locked BL stock rom."
Can you give me another .54 CWM?

I need the Stock Recovery for T329w as by mistake flashed Single sim recovery. I am from India and using Stock ROM with JB (version 4.1.1).
Flashing the "recovery_signed.img" inside the folder of this Download would be helpful?
Please reply.
Thanks.

Searched, couldn't find any dual sim roms apart from the one in this thread
EDIT - or maybe it's this one? it's compatible with dual sim http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46730392&postcount=30
thanks for your help though..
This is what i plan to do :
Download and flash TWRP for t329w
Transfer http://pan.baidu.com/s/122oNL (version 1) to SD Card and the recovery_signed.img and boot_signed.img to SC Card
Reboot phone to recovery
Choose Wipe then Swipe to Factory Reset
or the best is Select Advance Wipe, tick all except sdcard then swipe to wipe
Select Install and select the version1 rom.zip then swipe to confirm flash
Wait until the installation is finished
Reboot phone to fastboot and connect it to your PC
Open command prompt, lead it to folder where you installed adb and fastboot and issue commands:
fastboot flash recovery C:\recovery_signed.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
fastboot flash boot c:\boot_signed.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot

One last thing, I forgot to mention I had taken a NAndroid backup before installing the ROM. I restored it and did a full wipe/factory reset, but I think the kernel is the problem (it shows the kernel used by the single sim ROM)
So as of now, I'm just going to flash the boot and recovery, coz boot_signed should change the kernel.
Also, this folder contains other images such as radio, hboot, dzdata etc. what are these for and would they help?
Thanks a lot for your help!!

There's a guy on FB who had a similar problem. He said he flashed a "brushed" ROM from a chinese forum (i got the links), well if you translate it means a modified ROM for the dual sim, right? He also said he was missing the RUU. Any help here would be appreciated.. Thanks a lot!

After restoring Nandroid, just fastboot flash the boot_signed.img and reboot and see whether it boot. It should work if the custom recovery is working well for your device. No need to fastboot flash recovery_signed.img first. Just boot and see whether it works. If it works then only you fastboot flash the recovery_signed.img if you want to.
Don't worry about other images as you can't flash those on a S-On device.

So fastboot flash this one with command

What do you mean shows Error : Cannot open boot.emmc.win ? boot.emmc.win is created by a TWRP recovery only. If there is one you don't have to "open" it, just copy it to your fastboot folder
Now you mentioned you use nexus prime as the recovery do you mean you use NexusRecovery ? Can you list here the file names inside the nandroid backup ? I don't think you have boot.emmc.win in NexusRecovery

Hmm, i went to Nandroid restore > Advanced restore > Restore boot
doesn't boot.
tried restoring the whole backup, doesn't boot.
even a wipe data/factory reset doesn't make it boot!
Will taking it to an HTC centre help? (I'm ready to pay some amt of money.)
Oh no... you don't know what fastboot flash means ? It is not using the recovery to restore boot. You need to copy the boot.img to your PC where you have all your fastboot files in a folder.
Try again this way as I don't have my PC with me. Replying to you with someone else PC.
In my ROM threads, you will see Boot.img_Installer_RCx.x.zip in post #1. Download any of them then do the following
1. Download theBoot.img_Installer_RCx.x.zip and extract it on your PC desktop
2. Reboot your DX to bootloader and connect to your PC (you should see the word "fastboot usb" in red color on the bootloader)
3. Open the Boot.img_Installer_RCx.x folder that you extracted, you should see a batch file Install Boot.img.bat there
4. Replace the boot.img with your boot.img (don't use the one that already in the folder). Try the boot_signed.img that you have, rename it to boot.img
5. Run that Install Boot.img.bat and when it stop just press any key to exit
6. Reboot
And yes, taking it to HTC centre will help but of course you need to pay them

Ohh, I just read it properly. I know what fastboot flash means. Using Android SDK > Platform tools > Shift+rightclick > open as command prompt > fastboot flash boot boot_signed.img
I've already done it. This boot_signed.img in this thread seems weird.
After installing the custom ROM, restoring my nandroid backup, my phone was booting, but without the sim being recognized.
So I fastboot flashed the above (second post of this thread) boot_signed.img from c:\
But THAT boot_signed.img led to my phone being stuck in a bootloop > white start screen > turns black > try switching it on again > same thing
Hoped I could restore the nandroid boot using recovery advanced restore, but didn't work.
Will try fastboot flashing the MIUI boot.img (coz that's what was working initially, though without a sim, and the one in this thread's second post doesn't have a source), atleast that should get my phone booting. And will try searching for the boot of my nexus recovery backup, coz that will be the stock boot.img.
My last thing before I go to HTC .

[Guide] Root and Unlock Bootloader on HTC Amaze 4G

HI EVERYBODY,
Today i wanna introuduce my first filekit for rooting htc amaze 4g,
It is easy and needs only clicks instead of writing commands and reading different sites and downloading files from different sites it's all in one,
so follow the guide carefully!
<<<<<<I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY KIND OF DAMAGE YOU MAKE OR FOR ANY BRIKED DEVICES!>>>>>>>
Click to collapse
STEP BY STEP GUIDE!
GUIDE 1:: {unlocking the bootloader!}
This is htc amaze 4g unlocking, flashing recoveries and rooting filekit by playboydroid at xda developers.
first step enable usb debugging in settings>developer options>usb debugging tick it.or if you are at gingerbread so goto applications>devlopment>usb debugging.
STEP 2>> go into my filekit select data folder>install htc drivers.
STEP 3>> connect your pc to phone with usb cable then in data folder slect reboot into bootloader when you get into bootloader so use volume keys to navigate and
power key to select, you should be connected with usb cable between your phone and pc you will see written fastboot usb highlited with red if you cannot see
so select fastboot written in the bootloader menu so when you see fastboot usb in red colour, then select token id windows batch file present in data folder of my
FILEKIT so by selecting token id from pc will help you in getting the token so select the token as follows:
When copying the token, start with this line:
<<<< Identifier Token Start >>>>
And end with this line:
<<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>>
Click to collapse
after marking the token copy it by right clicking on the command window opened so after right clicking a dailouge box will appear so select edit>mark then select the token written and right click to select the token then visit htcdev.com singup first then select unlock bootloader at the right of the site select your device
htc amaze (t-mobile)or(mobilcity)or other then begin unlocking bootloader skip all steps goto step 10 and deposit your identifier token there and you will recieve
unlock_code bin in your email download it and place it in my toolkit>data folder then run the file unlockbootloader in my toolkit>data so this will ask a question on your phone's screen so select yes if you want to unlock or select no if you don't want to unlock bootloader
Code:
(note that when you select yes your all data would be deleted)
so now you are done unlocking bootloader now you can flash recovery and you can proceed to root.
GUIDE 2 : flashing custom recoveries..
first step>>connect your phone with pc using usb cable.
second step>>use the file reboot into bootloader present in my filekit>data it will take you to bootloader (note;usb debugging should be enabled)
third step>>after getting into bootloader use the file flash cwm5026 recovery so the file will flash recovery in your phone!
fourth step>>select recovery in the bootloader menu while usb disconnected,to see that, is recovery working?
and you are done flashing recovery the second part of rooting.
GUIDE 3 : rooting/installing superuser binary..!!
step 1>> goto my filekit>data folder then select super su folder and send the supersu.zip file to your phone.
step 2>> now select reboot into recovery from my filekit>datafolder it will take you to recovery.
step 3>> select install zip from sd card and find the supersu.zip in your storage then select it and answer it yes and you are done!
step 4>> reboot your system now!
EXTRA GUIDE FOR S-ON USERS;FLASH 4EXT RECOVERY:
I WILL RECOMMEND TO FLASH 4EXT RECOVERY AFTER ROOTING AMAZE 4G WITH CWM RECOVERY BECAUSE IT
IS THE BEST RECOVERY AND WELL FEATURED!
TO FLASH 4EXT RECOVERY GO TO: AND FROM THERE DOWNLOAD 4EXT RECOVERY!
THEN YOU WILL GET 4EXT RECOVERY.ZIP SO SEND IT TO YOUR SD CARD THEN BOOT YOUR PHONE INTO BOOTLOADER USE THE
REBOOT INTO BOOTLOADER FILE FROM MY FILEKIT>DATA AFTER THAT NAVIGATE TO RECOVERY AND SELECT
4EXT RECOVERY.ZIP AFTER IT FLASHES SUCESSFULLY REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM OR REBOOT RECOVERY SO THEN
NEW RECOVERY WILL BE SEEN..
ALL GUIDES AND FILES ARE AVAILABILE IN THE ZIP..
EXCEPT 4EXT!
ALTHOUGH I HAD INCLUDED 4EXT RECOVERY IN THE FOLDER BUT IT IS NOT WORKING!
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE 4EXT RECOVERY UPDATER APP AND YOU CAN FLASH LATEST RECOVERY FROM THAT APP AFTER ROOTING!
4EXT Recovery App
so first download the zip from here
unzip it and use the guides above to proceed! use 7zip or similar
if you got any help from my post so please tap the thanks :good: button so i could post more!

Am I missing something...After i install the super su and reboot, can I just install a rom, or do i need to update the kernel or install an update?

Yes the problem is that you need to flash boot.img from bootloader or for easily flashing roms from recovery ,use 4ext recovery...
Just flash this recovery from an app at play store or xda named 4ext recovery control this will work only if phone is booting or if the phone is not booting so search 4ext recovery.img or .zip on xda and flash it in your current recovery and reboot your recovery...you would now be able to get in new recovery now before flashing roms you need to enable 4ext smart flash, which is available inside tools options in 4ext recovery once you had enabled smart flash start flashing roms and they would boot...but NOTE: when ever you are flashing roms always check that is 4ext smart flash enabled or not ,you need to enable it in order to boot new roms and always make an Nandroid backup...
Happy flashing and don't forget to hit thanks

And please tell me that you're currently on CWM recovery or anyother...
Well CWM recovery is included in the package so hoping you're on custom recovery..
The only solution for your problem is that your phone should be ICS 4.0.3 updated and you should have 4ext recovery with smart flash enabled...
Or other solution is perform S-OFF..which is very hard, because of the wire trick!

I assume that you are on ginger bread with old bootloader,so try CM7 or older roms that might work on your device, for flashing ICS and JB newer roms you will need to be on latest bootloader which you can get after updating your phone to ICS(official)..
if you are having unbranded HTC Amaze Ruby then you need to S-OFF or if you are having Branded i.e T-Mobile or any other just flash the RUU from boot loader....:victory:

Place the PH85IMG.zip in the root of your
EXTERNAL SDCARD and boot into bootloader
This will update your radio
to 1.15.550L.08D _30.80.550L. 16D
and HBOOT to 1.93.2222
I did the above, installed the Viper Amaze 1.7.2.3 official, and it worked!!!!
thanks again for your help and patient, thank you

Hello, its my first ever post on this i think, so i apologize for the mistakes in advance. i just got One Max yesterday, i did the whole setup and got a OTA Update for 4.4.2, downloaded it and installed. all of sudden it got stuck on the Red triangle with exclamation mark in the middle. it rebooted itself and now its stuck on htc one flash sceen.
i have tried turning off and on = same result
i have tried factory reset = same results
left it on for hours in hope of different result. = same results
left it off for few hours but = same results.
went to htcdev and unlocked bootloader.

Thank you!
someone please help me out, i am stuck using nokia asha 210 and trust me its not the same feeling! please please help me out!
hi there.
i can help.
you need to unlock bootloader using htcdev.
install CWM for your international device from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498749
download my stock backup from here https://www.dropbox.com/s/pj9mds5lalg84lu/clockworkmodbackup.rar
uncompress my stock backup to your sdcard.
goto recovery and restore from backup
this will take you to 1.54.401 stock (only hboot 2.47 or below)
if that dont work, your hboot must have been updated. if your hboot is 2.49, then install virtuous 2.02
Thank you boss, i m downloading the files right now,
your back up is being downloaded and i also downloaded
International
Touch - http://flyhalf205.com/getdownload.ph...0.4.5-t6ul.img
Classic - http://flyhalf205.com/getdownload.ph...0.4.5-t6ul.img
Stock - http://flyhalf205.com/getdownload.ph...overy_t6ul.img
will this work for me and my hboot is 2.46.0000.

you need to fastboot flash the recovery on there. downlod this htc one max toolkit found on this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2578663
use the toolkit to flash the cwm international recovey.
once flashed, myou can then choose recovery from hboot and hopefully it will boot cwm
so i used the toolkit to flash teh recovery. i pushed the file on the right side of the toolkit where it says flash recovery and it showed its done show how many seconds it took. now i pushed the back-up into the sd card and selected recovery in the hboot menu. it reboots and come back to the same red triangle. i do now know what to do.
i would greatly appreciate it, if you can give me step by step guide. i know i am making some type of mistake.
once again i greatly appreciate your help!
are you definitely unlocked?
need unlocked bootloader to flash recovery.
open a command prompt windows (dos window) with admin (hold shift and right click toolkit folder ond select command prompt here)
navigate to the toolkit folder where the fastboot tool sits. now copy your downloaded recovery.img in the same folder as the fastboot.
make sure the downloaded recovery file is called recovery.img
now type this
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

on your pc, uncompress the zip keeping folders structure.
in recovery, choose advanced and mount. mount usb and copy the uncompressed clockworkmod folder to the phone.
then try restore from backup.
when you use push command, i think its coping to internal storage. you need my backup folder on external.
good luck dude

the backup has helped others restore their device so it defo works dude.
your sd card should contain this folder structure. clockworkmod\backup\2014-01-07.22.42.20
if all fails, download virtuous 2.0.0 international zip and install that. thats based on latest kitkat update and works

do a full wipe in recovery.
from the main menu in clockwork i did the wipe cache and factory reset. it took out the system and it got stuck again at the htc one screen. i am intalling it again and see. should the sd card stay in the phone the whole time?

sdcard being there all the time shouldnt make any difference.
make a full wipe/factory reset, wipe dalvik
install virtuous roms
reboot
thats all to it.

that's the one. virtuous 2.0 something. then once installed do the virtous ota to 2.0.2
ps install twrp recovey . best recovery to install this rom
and fingerprint sensor wont work while unlocked. relock the bootloader and fingerprint works.
you can lock and unlock bootloader without htcdev as long as you got soff hboot.
