[Q] Bluetooth on Logitech Revue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I realize that the Logitech Revue communicates with its keyboard via proprietary 2.4GHz communication.
My question is, has anyone successfully used a Bluetooth USB dongle to enable Bluetooth on the Logitech Revue? Is there any method of enabling Bluetooth on this device?
I need to use Bluetooth for sensing users of our application sitting in front of the TV.

[Q] Possible to connect S2 to dinovo mini bluetooth dongle?

Hello!
I've tried to connect my Galaxy S2 (Checkrom V4) to my pc via the Logitech dinovo mini usb dongle. For some reason my phone doesn't even find the dongle. So I want to know, if there is any way to do so.
Thanks for your help!
Instead, you need to get your PC to find the phone. In order to use the logitech dinovo bluetooth dongle to act as a bluetooth one, you'll need to remove your dongle, and then press and hold the connect button while plugging in the dongle into the USB.
This is because the Logitech dinovo dongle have two bluetooth modes:
1. Embedded mode
2. Bluetooth Mode
The embedded mode is the mode your Logitech DiNovo connects to without doing all that pairing stuff. This only connects your Logitech keyboard. So in order to connect to other devices, connect in Bluetooth mode with the instructions I have listed above.
Hope that helps.
Thank you very much for this information. You just saved me hours of research.
I have a Himedia Q5 smart tv box and since this device has no built in bluetooth
but i had an old diNovo mini and thanks to android 4.03 and your information,
i'm now happy typing using this dongle and the di novo mini keyboard (incl. mouse feature).

[Q] Pairing Logitech MX5500 Keyboard/Mouse with ATP??

I've got a Logitech MX5500 keyboard and mouse combo for my PC. I have no intention on buying a dock, however since they keyboard and mouse are bluetooth, I thought I'd find out if I could pair it with the Prime. Does anyone know how to set this up or if it is possible?
The Logitech SetPoint software has a Bluetooth Connection Assistant included, and the Prime will recognize and pair with the Bluetooth dongle on the PC, but the keyboard and mouse will not connect to the prime. I saw this video and this video which shows someone connecting the TF101 with this keyboard and mouse, but he doesn't explain how that is accomplished.
After running the Bluetooth Connection Assistant on my Win7 PC, it shows 2 Bluetooth devices in my device drivers which both show "Bluetooth peripheral device driver not found". When attempting to pair with the keyboard or mouse, the Prime says "Cannot communicate with (Bluetooth Address)"

I have a mx5000 that I use. I just pressed the red connect button on the back of the keyboard and when I searched for Bluetooth devices my tfp found and paired to the keyboard. Never tried the mouse yet.

Thanks, I tried that as well. The keyboard and mouse both pair up with the ATP briefly when pairing it directly like you described. It asks for the PIN on the keyboard, then for the mouse it asks for the PIN on the Prime. However, after it pairs, it immediately unpairs and asks for the PIN again. This is for the keyboard or the mouse. This is different than it not pairing at all, or entering the incorrect PIN, bc it does show paired for a second when the correct PIN is entered.

[Q] has anyone tried using a USB Bluetooth adaptor?

Considering the issue with Bluetooth audio headsets while streaming audio/video, has anyone tried hooking up a bluetooth USB dongle to their prime? I'm wondering if android would natively support that type of device hook up. I don't own the dock or USB attachment to test it out.
I was just wondering the same thing.
I have tried it.
I tried 2 Bluetooth dongles and none of them worked. The dongle light comes on, blinks but there is no way on the prime to use it.
You would need to code an android compatible driver.
Is this difficult? Seems like a nice idea for people who are having trouble for example watching Netflix with bluetooth headphones.

[Q] Nook tablet as wireless audio player

Currently running cm7. Did some searches, so my NT has WiFi but no Bluetooth, no power to USB so no micro USB dongle.
Stereo bluetooth dongle possible but bulky and requires separate charging.
WiFi speakers possible but can't find any.
Use app to controll another android using WiFi but requires second device.
I would love to be able to use the nt as wireless audio player.
Any ideas anyone?
You might check out the MediaHouse UPnP/DLNA app in the Play Store. Is this the capability you're looking for?
interesting but not exactly
My plan was to use the NT as a remote control for the livivg room audio. Where the audio is stored is not a problem (SD card or network is fine). The simple solution would be some Bluetooth speakers and play using the NT doing most of the work however no Bluetooth on NT makes this hard. I have cats who like chewing cables so stereo HiFi inst great, a rechargeable WiFi speaker would be awesome but all wireless speakers seem to be Bluetooth
I might look into the dongle idea, not USB but 3.5mm audio to Bluetooth dongle, its bulky but probably simplest.

Plugging a USB bluetooth dongle to an Android that has already Bluetooth

Hi.
I have an Android TV Box with an old Bluetooth version that does not allow me to pair two gamepads at the same time. The question is if I could update the Bluetooth of the TV Box with a USB Bluetooth dongle version 4.0 and thus make it compatible with the gamepads without having to change the entire TV Box.
Does anyone has experience with USB Bluetooth dongle and an Android device that already has Bluetooth capabilities? It will be recognized and work?
Thank you in advance.
Nobody?
