Wireless Charging Popup Notification - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Just got the wireless charging kit and am having major issues with the phone charging all the way up to 100% then it stops charging then the battery drains to 98% then charging picks up again.
Every time this happens, the phone will get a pop up saying: "You have placed the device within range. Now charging wirelessly..."
Literally happens every 10 seconds and the screen turns on itself and the phone vibrates or makes a sound depending on which mode I'm in.
Anyone know how to stop it?

XPosed framework
If you have root access on your phone you could try the XPosed framework...
I had the same frustration... I have developed a module for it that:
Prevents the screen from turning on when a charger is connected
Disables the wireless charging popup
Disables the beep when a charger is connected
Prevents the screen from turning on when the battery is full
I will post a module once I've got past the min 10 post limit on dev threads.

Has this been posted yet? Is there another workaround?
The battery full notification + screen activation is really annoying when combined with wireless charging.

Battery while charging up and down, rooted neo

Hi,
I have a problem with my Neo, since two or three days it doesn't charge the battery properly. The charger is plugged in, theres the battery animation in the Statusbar and the LED is on, but it only charges the phone like 20%. The battery percentage even went back down after awhile, though still plugged in! I started 2 days ago, charging it from 8%, after one night of charging, it was around 30%, then after a couple of hours it lowered to 26%, then raised tonight to 80% and now its back at around 71%
My NEO is rooted (stock rom) since 2 weeks, and the charging worked fine untill now.
Anybody got an idea? I'm thankful for any advice
Oh i almost forgot, and the same day this issue started, my WiFi started working strange, its like there for 5 minutes, then even if it shows the symbol properly, i have no connection because i dont receive whatsapp messages, and if i open whatsapp and try to write something it takes like 5 minutes till my connection is back, and it is sent.
On the other hand, the WiFi is working for my laptop without any problems.
Have you tried to do a clean flash with falshtool? Just to rule out software problems.
nope, simply because i dont know what that is
furthermore, my airplanemode doesnt work. After clicking on it, the icon is on, but there isn't a change in my connections at all, and the airplane symbol in the statusbar doesn't appear as well

download .42 firmware, download flahtool, and flash it. After selecting fw, tick wipe cache and user data.
Of course this will wipe your phone so make a backup of stuff from your phone.

Any way to disable the "unplug from charger" nag?

A while after it completes a charge, and the phone is on, it will give a quiet notification with a request to unplug it from the charger. Any way to turn that off?
Unplug the phone.
No easy setting to turn that off. You need to manually edit a file to disable it, don't remember which file it is though. Had to do it on my Captivate last year.
Guess I'll have to find out what that file is. That little nag is annoying.
Any idea if it is "mandatory" to disconnect? Like, is this their way of covering their butt. Will the phone\battery\charging system go bad over time if you leave it connected? I've never had this on any device I've used.
I read somewhere that it will stop charging at 100%, then operate from battery down to something like 95% before charging again. Which is why I want to kill the nag - there's no reason to disconnect.

Is there an Android phone that will auto power on if connect to charger?

Im looking for a Android powered GSM phone that will automatically turn itself back on if the battery is dead and power is reconnected.
I want to stash this in my vintage automobile and use tracking software to locate the vehicle in the unfortunate event its stolen. The only issue I need to solve is if the battery dies and the phone turns off how to turn it back on automatically. I plan to put the device in the door panels so access will be difficult.
Does anyone know of a phone that does this?
Not sure where to post a question like this so I figured I'd start here.

Please check NoMoarPowah! app from Chainfire - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.nomoarpowah&hl=en
NoMoarPowah! can automatically reboot into Android when charging is done. Either when fully charged, or when the battery level reaches 15% and Android has enough juice to run.
The app is known to work on the following devices -
Tested on the following devices:
- Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) and family
- Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) and family
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" (P1000) and family
- Samsung Droid Charge
- Samsung/T-Mobile Sidekick 4G
- Samsung Continuum (ticker overlaps)
Awesome thank you!!
Kind of a useless app, since you have to select your option each use. May as well just plug in and power up.
Note 2 > Deodexed Stock ROM > Tapatalk 2
you should try with Tasker (but that's not a free app, unfortunately)
Car Charging
Intelligent Approach,
I have also did the same thing but with some alteration and continue improvements to it for my vehicle security, i also did the same but putted the phone in dashboard and connected it to car cigarette lighter socket internally,(simple wiring), whenever car starts, it will start charging and Battery Booster apps Prevents Overcharge.
But currently i have hidden my Phone Near Speakers at the Back, and integrated it with Car Key less entry Remote (Car Security), so when ever some Opens my Car Doors, Car security Sends 12v Current to Siren as well as Car Charger that is connected to Mobile.
My Mobile is Programmed using an simple App that Call my Phone Number whenever It detects "Car Charger Connected" Event.
In short I get informed by my car in case of Un Authorize Access simple.
Keep it Up.
Anjum
how do you detect car charger connected event programmatically?
hi greatanjum,
thanks for your interesting post.
how do you detect car charger connected event programmatically?
could you please post a source code snippet about this?
Thank you
silvio
P.S. : I think I've gotted myself ... Using BatteryManager and its BATTERY_PLUGGED_* and EXTRA PLUGGED ...
Am I right?

if you flash TWRP and turn your phone off soon as it is connected to a charger it will boot into recovery, with that being said you easily the partition it boots into from recovery to system
i know this is a tad old post but it was near the top of google search so others may still find this thread useful
but samsung galaxy europa (its quite old and cheap £/$20 or less unlocked and locked) phone seem to work well for me only modification you have to make to the phone is the power button needs to be held down (at the start i used a clamp or large paperclip), so soon as power is received it turns on even after full power drain as when the charger is powered up it starts the auto charge which then checks the keys and sees the power/hangup button is pressed (power button is ignored as long as its left constantly held down so it not turn off) o and make sure sound is set to silent or the low battery warning will blaring away when it is running low (i do believe there is a extended battery you can get for the phone as well)
i use FollowMee for tracking and wheresmydroid as backup (has sms keyword triggering) FollowMee me never failed me) only issue is you need lots of account with wheresmydroid if you have more then 2 devices (assuming you want to use it to track via website if not the SMS keyword GPS one off tracking can be useful and it will use google WiFi Geolocation if GPS fails to work and a wifi access point is in range and you have mobile data) FollowMee does have a one off $3 or $6 payment for full 15-30 day history unlock (but works fine as free as well but will only show one current location at a time no history)
and disabled all automatic updates on google play (make sure you open google play a number of times with 5 minute delay between each open so it installs the newer version and let it update or it might get stuck in a loop and eat all mobile data) on the phone and push updates so only the app uses data (you could probably get away with a M2M sim as well), also set the phone to 2G only as 3G is bit flaky on samsung phones and 2G uses nearly no power as well

Issues with wifi and charging

Hi, first of all, thank to " deep sleep fix" here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1817424 now my at&t atrix 4G lasts longer. but i've experienced this issue since i installed it. My wifi connection keep turning off every time i turn off my screen for about more than 1 minute. and it turns back on when i open screen lock, so in that time, i'm not be able to receive any facebook message or downloading app from app store . Could u help me fix this, thanks a lot and by the way, my phone wont charge until 100% or fully charged it just stop at 90%

App question

I been looking for a few days trying to find a app that kills, or puts apps to sleep upon discharge of the battery. I plan to put a nexus 7 2nd gen into my car and have it set up to never sleep while charging, and to sleep 15 sec after it starts to discharge. However when I have stuff like music playing it will sleep (screen shuts off) but music doesn't, or when I have apps like dashcommand running the screen will just plain not shut off at all. I could always close the apps myself after shutting off the car so the tablet will shut itself off 15 secs later, but that will get annoying real fast having to pause the music or shut off apps every time the car shuts off to allow the tablet to sleep. There has to be a app that can do this for me every time the tablet starts to discharge I would think. If anyone knows an app that does free or paid I would appreciate a link. Thanks
ps, I don't have a nexus 7 right this moment, I should be getting it in mail later today, all the testing I have done was on my HTC evo 4g lte phone. I would think that everything I stated above would act the same on the nexus 7.

Already have that enable, what i'm asking is how to I make apps sleep and or shut off when the power is on discharge? If I run an app like dashcommand the tablet will not sleep ever unless I manually go in and shut the app off myself, then the tablet will sleep in 15 secs like it's suppose too. So for example i'm in my car have dashcommand loaded and I park my car get out and walk away, the tablet should shut off 15 secs after the car turns off but with dashcommand opened it will not shut off. As far as the music goes if I shut my car off (tablet is now discharging from battery) the screen shuts off in 15 secs like it's suppose to but the music doesn't shut off with it (screen shuts off but music still playing). Looking for something that will force close or sleep all apps when the power starts to discharge. I saw on youtube someone had the nexus 7 install on there car and had Timur's USB Kernel which I believe would solve my problem but he wants over 40 usd for that Kernel. There's has to be another way to do this.
anyone?
nvm I finally found and app that does exactly when I been looking for, it's called "Autosleeper Auto power ON-OFF" and best thing is I was willing to pay 10+ dollars to find a decent app and this one was free.
