Maybe this is trivial, but I just install FoxHound 2.5 every thing working just fine
So I pass to configure all my email addresses and notices that only have gmail mail app
I need to retrieve my POP3 and IMAP mails, do I miss something during ROM installation?
How can I install a mail app?

Hey Man,
I have experienced the same thing. I dont know why they removed the mail app. I tried to install the ROM again to make sure I didnt miss something in the AROMA installer but the second time also no mail app.
I downloaded the K9-Mail app which is doing an ok job so far. Just search for K9-Mail on play store.

I cant access to gmail on http://googelmail.com/app.

A installation of the intent MIDlet Manager JTWI 1.0 dont resolve the problem.

Use embedded WM6 mail client. It work with gmail very nice.
I use Gmail on my Niki. Never had a problem with it!

SAme for me, just installet it (v1.5 BTW) and works, no problem at all
crap, installed the gmail app ok on my touch dual, but when i run it it says i don't have the appropriate certificate to run it (and I downloaded the verisign root cert already...)

For ppl that did not know of this feature:
Starting a few months ago Gmail even supports IMAP which is working great!
While creating an account choose IMAP and configure the imap.gmail.com server.

Thanks alot! The Gmail client didn't work on my Touch so I had been using the web interface. This is soooo much better!
No problem friend. This feature is available for only 2 months or so. So I guess not everyone knows yet.
Besides, IMAP is great for everyone, SO much better than damn simple POP3.
(also for non-gmail users, if your server supports it....USE IT..)

My problem is when configuring exchange account in the stock Email app. the schedule appointments and meetings feature is not working.
if someone sends me a meeting request from outlook to my Email, i see the email but nothing more than that - meaning the .ics file that is attached to the body of the mail is not accessible and not visible, hence i cannot accept\deny\cancel the meeting request or even know about the meeting...
i noticed this happens on pop3 emails too. so end result the email app of cm9 doesn't handle .ics and doesn't even show the file as an attachment! WHAT AN ANNOYING BUG.
so guys any way to fix this ?

It looks like Google is simply unable to develop such a simple ability in their Email app. makes me think maybe i was wrong deciding on Android.
it's a shame - they know about this since 2008 !!!

I am using the last Nov 12 CM10 update and I had problem connecting my exchange account with the stock email app. I tried Enhanced Mail, but it did not sync my exchange calendar. So I disabled the stock Email just to see if the EE will sync the calendar. No luck. The problem is that the stock Email app disappeared. I tried to flash new google apps, but the email still does not show on my app screen. I do not wish to do a reset for now. Is there a way to load the Email app again, and how to make it work with an exchange account. Thank you very much in advance!!!

I know exchange works on CM10, I'm using stock right now. Gapps has nothing to do with Email so that is why it didn't work. Clear your cache and data for Email and Exchange in setting>application>all.

The problem now is that the Email app is not listed under app or in settings under apps. I loaded a app pack form recovery, but still the Email app is missing.
Any help on this? Really appreciated!

Install new nightly of cm10. Its in the package so either the install will add in back or you can pull it from the zip and push it to /system/apps and fix permissions.

I have a gmail account and a hotmail account. Gmail works fine but hotmail is not syncing with the phone. I can see on the web app of hormail that I have received new email but I press the sync button on the mail app and nothing happen. I verified the password and is the correct one. I was reading that it happening to some people on the s3.
Tried to delete the account on setting/accounts and it say that some apps need the hotmail account and that I need to reset the device to factory. Tried to delete the account from the email app and it shows me "delete account failed-503 service unavailable" I have been looking through the forum and cant find an answer. Is there's a way I can delete without resetting ? im stock but rooted Thanks in advance
Figured out! deleted the stock email data from titanium backup and it deleted the account. Set it up again and seems to becworking fine!
You could also clear the data on the mail app...once cleared, go back to the email app and youll run the set up all over again

When I flash new rom, I try to avoid following....
1. dirty flashing (flashing over existing rom without wiping my own ass)
-> sometimes creates problems with functionality, but not always
2. retrieving titanium backup with yellow lettered internet bookmark, all red lettered datas, and any 'Account' data.
a)For internet bookmark, retrieve green lettered one but not the yellow one. Retrieving both yellow and green ones will combine 2 same bookmarks.
b)Do not save nor retrieve any red lettered datas.
c) Do not save or retrieve any 'Account' data which is on the list among other datas(regardless of what color it is), or it may create functionality problems such as syncing your email.

I tried to delete on the mail app but it was giving me an error. Then I went to TB and wiped the data there and it worked. I was able to setup again

I am having the same problem with my note2, only for my yahoo account. I am not familiar with the solution listed above as I don't know what Titanium backup is. I have not done anything to my Note since I got it, as far as changing ROM or anything. What is the best way to resolve this since I can't delete the account?

Is there anyone that can help with this problem? I have a stock Note 2 and my yahoo account stopped updating out of nowhere. Now it also won't recognize my login info so I can't send messages either. I have installed the Yahoo app but prefer to use the stock email app for one stop to all my email.
Any suggestions welcome...

Try going to Settings, then Application Manager. Find the email application and clear data. Exit from the application manager and then open your email app and set up your yahoo account again.

Yahoo mail works better for me if I set it up manually. You can let the email app find the servers and such on its own, but that's where I've had most of my problems. If you follow the prompts in a manual set up its pretty intuitive. Delete your Yahoo account and try that.

I wasn't able to delete the accounts. It was giving me a timeout error. I went to titanium back up and wiped the data ftom the stock email. Then I setup again the email as "others"
I have two hotmail accounts, and without Google Exchange Services their calendar information will not show up on my calendar app. Does anyone know how to get the Google Exchange Services installed so the calendars will sync?
I have installed "mail wise email app for exchange mail", which works very well.

I tried it but it doesn't affect my calendar. Still shows only my google account. Why is there no native calendar app?
I have native email and exchange for remix os and they are sync very well, I can share it with u, but can't right now cause I am still at work. Sory for bad English.
